I enjoyed Educating Ethan, I loved the characters and look forward to reading more from this author.
Ethan Holt senses someone watching him when he is moving in to his new apartment and takes the daring step to go over and introduce himself. Ida Deloraine thought she kept hidden from the much younger man she has been watching but when a knock on the door has her looking into his very eyes she is lost to the chemistry. But what will draw them together is also what could drive them apart. Can Ida let go of the past and embrace what Ethan is offering or will her scars be too deep to let go.

I loved this story!
Ida is not your typical heroine. Older than most, divorced, lacking confidence - yet she's someone I couldn't help but cheer for from the sidelines.
And Ethan... well, what can I say? He's gorgeous and definitely hero material.
When these two hit the page together, the attraction is electric. I thoroughly enjoyed watching their relationship develop and their feelings for each other grow.
For those who want a short and sexy read, this is definitely for you.

Ida Deloraine just can't stop watching and fantasizing about her much younger new neighbor. But she knows nothing can ever come of her desire ... or can it?
Ethan Holt felt Ida's gaze on him from the moment he started moving boxes from the van. He didn't know who it was, but the heat was evident from the start. Finally, he takes matters in his own hands and makes a neighborly visit.
Though neither of them intended for the instant surge of desperate heat between then, it was there. Ida has scars, both physical and emotional, from her failed marriage. Ethan has baggage of his own. But they can't deny the need they have for each other.
Educating Ethan starts out with a flush of need from our older heroine who all but drools at Ethan's sexy, half-dressed body. She's a bit shamed by her feelings but it's really the first time she's been turned on like this since her divorce. She has no intention of acting on her feelings, but there's no harm in looking.
Ethan pushes Ida right out of her comfort zone from the start. He's forward and deliberate. He's also very sweet. And very, very sexy. I like a man who knows what he wants and goes after it. He's not aggressive, but he's persistent and wears Ida down quickly.
Still, even after they heat up the sheets, she doesn't think she can give him what she thinks he needs. She pulls away ... he moves closer. Ida never stands a chance!
Though the sex in this short story is vanilla, it's steamy and erotic. I just fell madly in love with Ethan and could eat him up with a spoon. He's both amazing and realistic, and just exactly what Ida needs. The author doesn't waste words, just tells it like it is. We know exactly what each character is thinking and feeling and while, I'm not sure Ida and Ethan will make it forever and always, I do think they'll have a strong relationship full of fun, conversation and adventurous sex for many years to come.
Educating Ethan was a good story and I'm very glad I chose to read it.

This book hit home on so many levels. Everything from Ida's age and body issues (I'm four years older than my husband and some people act like it's a terrible huge age gap. Plus I've had children. I do not look like a centerfold girl!), to Ethan's physical issue from his wreck. I can say from personal experience that Ms. Lynne did a perfect job describing the hardship such an injury can have.
The inner emotional conflict in this novel was spectacular. It was realistic, dealing with issues in a way that made you sit on the edge of your seat and wonder how it was all going to get resolved. And let me say, the resolution was great! The author tied up the edges nicely without making the ending feel rushed.
I highly recommend this as a Must Read!

Really sexy and really lovely. There's only one man who's ever made Ida come alive and he's just moved in across the road! Ethan has one goal in mind, to be with his beautiful neighbor. First it's a mega attraction but soon it's much more. But poor Ida has a secret that makes her doubt it could all be for real. I'm in love with Ethan, I wish he'd moved in across the road from me!

Jennifer Lynne never fails to impress me with her writing style. Within a few minutes of reading the first page, I can step into the world she creates, feel the rapid pulse of the heroine, experience the raw emotions of the hero as he tries to convince the heroine of his good intentions.
I could empathise with Ida, and her insecurities resulting from a previous failed relationship. Also her indecision in allowing a younger man to draw her attention. But draw her attention he did. Along with some very erotic and lustful daydreams that had her libido kicking into second gear. Presuming Ethan was only interested in a fling meant she kept her distance. However her body told a different story, and betrayed her whenever he came in close proximity. The term Cougar her friend had jokingly made reference to, made her want to run in the opposite direction.
Ethan only wanted a chance to prove to Ida he was more than a gorgeous young hunk, with a physique every woman with a pulse would desire. He had also been emotionally scared from life changing incidents that had occurred in his past. His desire for Ida went far beyond the casual encounter phase attributed to young men. Trying to deny his growing feelings for the beautiful woman living across the road was not working. He needed to persuade her to take a chance on what they could become. Ethan needed to demonstrate he was worth Ida dropping the protective shield she had built up around her heart.
A beautifully written “hot and sexy” story, which will leave you smiling.

Jennifer Lynne knows how to write a sexy story! From the opening scene of Educating Ethan, she ramps up the sensual tension between the new neighbours. This is a classic older woman, younger man trope, done very well. Ethan is described in such a visceral, enticing way, that readers won't be able to wait for the heroine to work up the courage to speak to him. But it's worth the wait. The scene in the Melbourne zoo is especially memorable!
