Dar viena smagi istorija, kurios laukiau pasirodant knygynų lentynose.

I love the missing kitten. It takes stuff opposite of what I thought It would. The kitten is also so cute and fluffy.

This was a cute early chapter book about a girl moving to the countryside with her family and finally getting to have a kitten! The kitten is quite determined not to be left behind and keeps following her to school.
What drove me MAD while reading this is that the language and story was adapted majorly for US audiences. Why are American kids being brought up to only understand their own language and their own culture? It's ridiculous. I'll be buying these books for my kiddo from the UK in the future, when possible.
CONTENT:
Only potential flag is that the MC ignores an instruction from her teacher to go off and find her kitten. Overall really harmless and sweet.

A nice little story. I think it's safe for any kid as it isn't too intense 🥰 The only thing that "bothered" me in it (it's too strong of a word, but I can't find a better one) was when the little girl's parents weren't that perfect in caring for a kitten 😅 I mean, they shouldn't be, no one is, but repeating the same silly mistake three times seemed like a stretch to me lol

The Missing Kitten is cute and endearing, but very similar to Misty the Abandoned Kitten, which makes it less interesting.

The missing kitten was a little bit silly because Boots kept following Suzanne to school 🏫.

Moving to a new place and a new school can be challenging, and Suzanne wishes that she found it as easy to make new friends as her older brother Jackson. Still, when her parents allow her to adopt a beautiful orange cat that she names Boots, she feels a little bit better about the move to the country. The cat and girl bond quickly, and Boots somehow manages to follow Suzanne and Jackson to school more than once. Even though their father is supposed to be keeping an eye on Boots, the kitten is quite determined. Boots eases the transition to a new place for Suzanne and also helps her connect to a new friend named Izzie, but he also gets himself into a lot of trouble and causes a great deal of anguish when he goes missing one day. The illustrations and text will certainly make readers worry about the fate of this independent, almost unstoppable kitten. Although I can't imagine an animal becoming that attached to a caregiver that quickly, I still enjoyed this sweet story about a cat that helps its new human companion in surprising ways.
