"The Jerusalem Secret" is Book 2 in author Ron Cantor's "Identity Theft Series". It is a 240 page paperback novel published by Destiny Image that was so good I stopped reading it to buy and read Book 1 first even though Book 2 could be read as a stand alone. What a delightful find when reading something from an author that is new to me. This is definitely a 5 star rating. So is the first one. Don't miss it or Book 1.
"The Jerusalem Secret" is a fascinating fiction book listed as a fantasy. It is the continuation of the story of Jewish David Lebowitz. In book one he encounters an angel, Ariel, who whisks him off to Heaven to see ancient history first hand. David's family are devout Jewish people and he is reluctant to tell them of his experience. He is even more afraid to tell them of his great love of Jesus, or Yeshua as the book calls Him, and that he is a follower of Christ. Yet, he cannot hold this information to himself and not share it with them to provide their salvation. If he shared his experience with them, would they think that was mentally unstable? What a dilemma!
Book 2 begins with David in the hospital sitting with his father who is the patient. David holds his father's hand in prayer and is again transported back to the place he had been with Ariel, the angel from Book 1. Ariel explains that David is to be trained for his assignment. He has an important purpose. David is to bring the message of Jesus, or Yeshua, to today's people. Not just the Jewish but all people are to hear the message of Jesus through David. As David's training begins we are introduced to people that shaped ancient history. David can see first hand their lives and hear their powerful stories.
This novel is biblically based on its Jewish history and Bible stories. Bible stories were brought to life. It is a riveting tale that I devoured and wanted more. It is as much of a learning book as an entertaining one. It brought me closer in my daily Walk. It was phenomenal. I could see this being made into a motion picture that would be a blockbuster. It was interesting reading about the historical customs of Jewish people and enlightening to read what they thought (according to the author) about Jesus and Christians.
It is a well thought, researched, organized book that provides food for thought and the soul. I would highly recommend "Jerusalem Secret" to everyone. It would make a great Christmas gift for the reader in your family. While it can be read as a stand alone, I would recommend buying Book 1, "Identity Theft" also as they are both 5 star books. Get a copy for yourself, too. They are absolutely moving. I was given the book by Book Fun (The Book Club Network) and here is my honest review.
This story very clearly gives necessary teaching on the Jewish background to the Christian faith and why there is a divide between Jew and Gentile that should never have happened. Excellent read and sound teaching in story form.
In this sequel to Identity Theft the author continues with his innovative way of presenting the history of the ever widening rift between Jews, Messianic Jews, and Christians resulting in antisemitism and replacement theology.
The Jerusalem Secret is the 2nd in a series of books by Ron Cantor. The first book, Identity Theft is amazing, read it first.
In the second book, The Jerusalem secret, Ron takes up right where he left off. The story of David becomes even more fascinating and the history of the early church is very thorough. And it captures your attention.
Rarely do we see such an accurate account of the early church in the fiction form, used to educate the Church on its early history so entertaining. But Ron Cantor is a very gifted author. He does an excellent job of bringing the past alive, and colorful and full of the characters so many only have glimpse of in the Bible.
He humanizes those early leaders of the Church in a way that makes sense and does not contradict what we know from the Bible.
The character David is on a learning trip through time and the reader is along to see what we as the church did not know about the early church, through history recorded outside of the Bible, and past the last chapters of the Bible, outside of Revelation.
You have to read this book to really see how the author did such an excellent job of bringing the Bible alive and showing that God always meant to bring Israel back to Him.
And he does it as Paul wrote in Romans.
Seriously, I loved this book. Cannot wait for the 3rd installment and hope it is not a couple of years between books, like the last. I tried to read it slowly, to make it last. But as usual, I was so engrossed in the characters and the them and plot of the book, that I went through it pretty quick.
I highly, highly recommend The Jerusalem Secret, and its first in the series, Identity Theft.
The Jerusalem Secret by Ron Canto, book two in the Identity Theft series, is a story of a very interesting time travel! David is of Jewish heritage and has now realized that Jesus is the true Messiah. As the impact of this revelation on his life is just beginning to 'sink in', he is taken on a celestial time travel trip with an angel named Ariel. During his time with Ariel, he does some ethereal skype-ing, meets some noted Biblical characters, realizes through Christ he is able to fight off demons and fully enters into history. Ariel is his guide to the truth about religion and Yeshua. His goal is for David to see things firsthand and learn early Christian history that he can actually prove so he would be equipped to speak boldly and defeat doctrinal lies that are so easily embraced by those who are entrenched in religion. Cantor uses this fantastical method of moving through history to explore the background of Jewish Christians, anti-Semitism and a theology of 'replacement' touted by some theologians. The book moves quickly and the 'heaviness' of the theological ideas is kept light by humor and the story of David and his family. It is evident the author has done extensive research and the book is replete with scriptural references. The Jerusalem Secret is not only a good story but a good resource concerning Jewish and early Christian history. The Jerusalem Secret by Ron Cantor is a great book! Filled with historical Bible facts, it takes the reader on a journey back in time to Bible days, a history of the Jewish people and their role in the body of Christ. Although it is a work of fiction, at many times it felt like a history lesson due to the amount of historical fact woven into the book. I highly recommend reading Identity Theft, Book 1 in the series first as I believe it will help the reader to fully understand and appreciate Book 2.

Wow! What a powerful and amazing fictional story of a Jewish man David Lebowitz who has just discovered and believes that Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah. While trying to get a grasp on this he is taken on a celestial time travel trip with an angel named Ariel. He meets and speaks with many famous Biblical men and women in the Bible: Peter, James, Paul and other Apostles of Christ. He is shown videos and experiences biblical times. History is being written right there before his eyes. The author blends fictional characters and historical Biblical characters with such realism that you can feel the events . Ron Cantor has done a superb job in researching historical facts and information taken from the Bible. The book is filled with scripture verses. It is also filed with truths and will help not only David's character but you to understand scripture more clearly. Although this is book 2 in The Identify Theft series it can be read as a stand alone book. However, I wish I could have read book 1 first but plan to read it as soon as possible. Ron Cantor has been added to my favorite author list. I recommend this book.

“The Jerusalem Secret,” by Ron Cantor, is book two in the Identity Theft Series. If you haven’t read the first book, you should still not have any problem following the second one. The Jerusalem Secret is a time travel novel that is filled with historical facts and information from the Bible. Main character, David, has been shown that Jesus is Messiah, our true Savior. But, David is a Jew and he struggles with how to explain to his family and his rabbi that he has been saved. Throughout this book David travels through time, watches videos and experiences biblical times. He learns that God has a plan for his life, a mission for him alone. Can David fulfill God’s plan? The Jerusalem Secret is a heavy book. I struggled with information overload as I read it. In my mind, the book is more like non-fiction. It is filled with truths, scripture and with explanations to help David understand the scriptures more thoroughly. I believe Cantor did a wonderful job of sharing the truths of the Bible with his readers. I received a copy of this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for this review.
THE JERUSALEM SECRET is the second book in RonCantor's Identity Theft Series.
David Lebowitz is afraid to tell his Jewish family and friends he is now a follower of Yeshua, the Messiah. He is even more afraid to tell them how he became a believer. Who would accept he time-traveled to the classroom of heaven to be taught by an angel named Ariel? Would they prepare a spot for him in a mental institution if he told them he'd interacted with Jesus Christ, His disciples, and members of the early church?
David knows he is being prepared to serve God in the coming soul-harvest as a shepherd of the Lord's people, and that he must convince this generation of his claims using verifiable proof. Before he can do this, he must separate truth from error.
Though this book is a fantasy because of the time-travel element, the story, for me, reads like a work of non-fiction. This book isn't “light entertainment.” Readers should expect to take time to consider the evidence presented.

So you never know what to expect when you begin a new book by an author you have never read before. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It is very different from anything I have ever read but so interesting and educational. It really is almost a study in Jewish history and a Bible Study. This book really would be a great way to introduce a Jewish believer to Jesus (or Yeshua as He is called in the book). I found it really interesting the Jewish thoughts on Christians, at least in the book, really an utter disgust. Do they really feel that way? Things to consider that I never did before. This the second book in the series and I was concerned I would be lost since I didn’t read the first one but I followed along just fine. If you are looking for something a little different from you typical Christian book and want a bit of an education on our faith I highly recommend this one.

The Jerusalem Secret, by Ron Cantor, is the second book in the Identity Theft Series. This historical fiction focuses on Judaism while encompassing the difficult topics of abuse and crucifixion.
David Lebowitz is a Messianic Jew who is educating his family on his faith. David time travels, with the aid of Ariel, to the times of the New Testament.
This is the type of book that I truly enjoy. It involves history and fantasy to tell its story. Plus it includes background of the Church throughout.
I feel like anyone that enjoys the type of books I mentioned would also enjoy this book.

The Jerusalem Secret is book two in the identity series. This book is a very involved, dramatic read that will have you thinking a lot. David Lebowitz has been taught a certain way by his family on the Jewish faith. Things occur that David asks God for help and he sends David on an epic adventure through time with Ariel an angel. She is able to show him the past like we have never been able to see. He is time traveling and even though he cannot change the past it shows him how he can save and change the future for other generations. This book is very powerful and not something you just pick up and forget. It makes you really think as well as learn. I recieved this book from the BookClub Network for an honest review.
The Jerusalem Secret, book two, in Ron Cantor's Identity Theft Series, is a truly eye opening historical look into the sad, but all to obvious reality of Replacement Theology. The author blends Biblical characters and fictional characters into the story to make the book flow from beginning to end with such realism and authenticity that the reader can feel the events and gain empathy and understanding of how the Christian faith has been alienated from its Jewish roots. I highly recommend this book but further recommend starting with book 1 to make a smoother engagement with book 2.
