Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. What he didn’t know was that there really was such a thing as life after death, and that the multiverse was a far larger place than he thought.
A lucky twist of fate (one of the few in Ning’s life) meant that Ning was reborn into a world of Immortals and monsters, of Ki Refiners and powerful Fiendgods, a world where Dynasties lasted for millions of years. A world which is both greater…and yet also smaller…than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again! The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ning would make it his era.
- Quote: Don’t think that just because you helped him out that you’ll have much of a relationship; that’s just a favor, nothing more.” “When a favor is used up, it’s gone. But a relationship is long-lasting!” - Thoughts: This was very better than the previous books, with Ji Ning's ego not being the center of the story, Wo Chi Xi Hong Shi let's his main character falls to a secondary role during a great part of the adventure. This is a welcome refreshing change. Also we finally see some big bad guys, something we last really saw around book 3 Ji Ning's solution in the end of the book also proves to be a smart move. So yeah, I'll rate this one a 5 🌟 ▶◀ These are my personal opinions, you may discord, my final rating of the book is not necessarily linked to this system and may diverge from it. I liked the advancement that Ning demonstrated. The revenge plot line was fun. The Youngflame plot line started to drag on a bit but I liked the direction that it was going in the end.
