Beginning the Star Force Phase 2 timeline, the Mak'to'ran serial details the defeated V'kit'no'sat fleet commander's days following the attack on Earth and the fallout within the Dinosaur empire that results from it. For as bad as the treason regarding the Humans and the bastardized Hadarak is, and the implications that one of the two founding V'kit'no'sat races are behind it, a much larger rift within the empire is being exposed that has the potential to do what neither the Zak'de'ron culling nor the Rit'ko'sor rebellion accomplished.
A full Dinosaur civil war.
------
Star Force is a massive scifi franchise currently divided into two phases. Phase 2 is the V'kit'no'sat war between Star Force and the Dinosaur empire. Phase 1 is the backstory to that conflict detailed in the 'Origin Series' that contains 100 novella-length episodes.
New readers can either start with the backstory or jump right into the conflict with the Phase 2 entry novel 'Lost Destiny'. The Mak'to'ran series is written in heavy canon detail and not friendly to new readers...unless you're adventurous, adaptive, and overly intelligent. If you are, then you might be worthy of being a V'kit'no'sat, in which case dive right in and learn how Jurassic Park got the dinosaurs oh so wrong. They're not attractions in a petting zoo. They're the masters of our galaxy.
Aer-ki Jyr is one of the top 20 science fiction authors on Amazon due to his extremely long and ongoing space opera epic STAR FORCE, one of the longest military science fiction series ever written.
Four stars, finger is to big. "Horn broken, watch for finger.
Another brick in the story. Thinking about previous books, animals go to preserves. I can see big dogs, maybe, but what about lap dogs? Do the preserves provide laps for them? Dogs and cats have been modified by man, to provide different types of service to man. And now you want to discard them, after we changed them?? What hubris.
Took me a bit to make it through this book. As my review title suggests it was a little dry. I was also ready to get back to Star Force after a few chapters, but we continued on with this protagonist and his mission. It was interesting and I'm glad I did not skip it.
Looking forward to getting back to the humans and seeing what's happening now that they've confronted their long time eventual enemy.
Hole book is about the infighting in the dinosaur empire. I miss the nice mix of the first twenty books. While interesting it is a letdown after the excitement of the last fifteen or twenty books.
Canvi de punt de vista total. Seguim al mateix univers però hem deixat l’imperi Star Force i ens centrem en una possible guerra civil V’kit’no’sat tot obtenint informació d’aquest llargament anunciat enemic de Star Force

A different perspective in the universe. Politics, scheming and plotting. A very good read, here is hoping the rest of the series lives up to Mak'to'ran 1
I'm glad the otherside is being followed and we get to see their perspective. But this book was weak. It's consistently easy for the protagonist to achieve his goals.
