I found myself intrigued from the very beginning with the story. Ms. Foy writes an exciting story that I just couldn't put down. It was full of twists and turns.
Roosevelt St. Vincent is a loan officer for a bank in Boston. She happens to have a chance encounter with Alexsander Nochmann who happens to be a vampire, she doesn't know that vampires even exist upon meeting him. They start a whirlwind romance, but she soon finds out he is dangerous and not what he says he is.
Once Roosevelt finds out that Alexsander is a vampire she gets thrown into a vampire political mess. She gets kidnapped, kills a vampire and then brought up on charges for the murder of said vampire. Roosevelt was there for Alexsander when he was turned back into a human and then a vampire again. Will Roosevelt stay with Alexsander even when the trial commences and she has doubts about Alexsander's motives?
I will definitely be reading more books by this author.

What an intriguing tale!

It begins at the end. The tale of a woman in most unusual circumstances doing eyebrow raising things. Her name is as unique as she is...Roosevelt. Her brand of trouble is more than most and she really and truly has no idea.

A coffee
A wallet
A wandering eye

Which would you consider life threatening? In Roosevelt's story, it all is. Without one or all three, she would have lived a "normal" life. But where's the story in that...

Vampires, silver, and stakes oh my!

I have never read a story quite like this. It pulls you in and weaves a tale so entrenched in detail you forget how it starts. You glide along on the tapestry Ms. Foy develops following as a hypnotized viewer. It really is a fun tale. There will be sadness, and in my case tears. There are happy times to. You will experience the full gamut of emotions and you will do it gladly.

This was definitely different.... in a good way. This story kept me on my toes through the many twists and turns.

Roosevelt has some coy encounters with Alexsander at a coffee shop she frequents. A misplaced wallet has her tracking Alex down but brings her to a world she didn't know existed. As she learns more about Alexsander she discovers he is a vampire. And that they do indeed exist.

This discovery does not detract for her strong attraction to him. And the more time she spends with him, and learns about him the more she becomes immersed in their world.

This story was one I could not put down. Go one click this fast-paced, addicting story.

In Between will grab you right from the beginning, Shannon Foy has created a world that will push you and have you begging for more. At first, I had a hard time connecting to Roosevelt and I was intrigued by Alex. As we get inside Roosevelt's mind more, we connected and it is easy to love her. Alex is a different story, he is a big mystery and I found myself loving and hating him at the same time. The story is a different paranormal but wonderful. Shannon Foy's writing style is smooth making the story even more enjoyable. I'm excited to see what is next.

Fast-paced and fun, In Between is a paranormal whirlwind, starring an unassuming 28-year-old loan officer who is more than she seems, and the hidden-in-plain-sight vampire world she becomes a part of.

Two relationships anchor the emotional core: a girl and her gay best friend, and a girl and her vampire love interest. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a romance between our heroine and her sexy vampire. But I was as invested in her relationship with her best friend Patrick, who knew she was a little bit special long before any blood suckers came along, as I was invested in the central romance.

In Between has a little bit of everything -- it's a jetsetter of a book, starting with a prologue that reads like a diamond heist, traversing the globe from Boston to Japan with stops in Newfoundland and Vail. There's a murder mystery and an intriguing glimpse into the vampire legal system. There's the requisite vampire wealth porn (if I don't get loving descriptions of grand mansions and New York penthouses with my vampire books, I'm out -- and In Between delivers handily). There's multigenerational stories of families who have lived among and alongside vampires. Foy keeps it all together -- and moving briskly -- with her wry and witty authorial voice.

This wasn't your normal, run of the mill, vampire tale. I found In Between to have a unique spin that drew me in and held me captive. Shannon Foy delivered a story that was engaging, intriguing, and full of action.
At the heart of this story are Roosevelt St. Vincent and Alexsander Nochmann, two strong and incredibly interesting characters. Roosevelt, specifically, was unbelievably brave. When thrust into a dangerous world she didn't quite understand, she fought hard to protect herself and those she cared about. Her selflessness, determination, tenacity, and sincerity made her quite endearing. Roosevelt may have begun as a timid and shy person but throughout the story and all of her many adventures we saw her evolve into so much more. I loved being on that journey with her.
Foy gave us a steamy romance with a complex and original paranormal aspect. I couldn't get enough of the heart racing action and was grasping for answers to all of the questions presented. In Between was a story full of lies, and truths, of love, sacrifice, heartbreak, ends, and beginnings. It was so much more than I anticipated and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A vampire book with a twist, and you will love it. In Between by Shannon Foy was refreshing, fast paced, and enjoyable.

Roosevelt meets Alexsander when she seeks him out to return his wallet, but instead of a simple act of kindness, a new door is opened for her and she discovers that vampires do exist. Not only that, but she is utterly attracted to the owner of the wallet. What is going to happen? What will she discover on her journey to discover the supernatural? Read and find out!

I have to say that this book was very different than many other vampire, or even paranormal, books I've read. Most of the time it moved at a face pace and usually what you expected to happen, did not. The end...I'm not sure how I thought it would end, but it seemed a little rushed and I want a little bit more. Overall, I loved this book and if you like a good vampire story, this is the one for you! 4 stars and I suggest you one click today.

This is not your normal vampire novel. I loved the twists in this book.
Roosevelt lives a boring life as a loan officer, but she's a loyal friend. She married her gay bff, Patrick, to help him stay in the country. Her life is predictable. Until a certain hot man comes into the coffee shop.
In Between starts and sucks you right in. I literally could not put it down until I finished. It was an emotional roller-coaster.
The writing is fantastic and it flows well. It can be read as a standalone.
