Bound to Endure is the second very enjoyable and fast paced book in the Elven Princess series. This book has non-stop action and a forbidden romance. This book is fun to read but more serious than the previous book, but it is not as dark as it very easily could have been.

Arabella is emotional and courageous in this book and is selfless when it comes to her country and people. Robert is friendly and considerate and also adventurous and versatile. I like that we got to know Abner better and while he is still aloof he comes across in a more good light. I also liked Jocelyn and how she was a good friend to Arabella but the friendship is not the healthiest as Arabella is very clingy to her.

I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the last book in this series Bound by Love. I would recommend Bound to Endure to fans of the first book Bound by Birthright.

While I enjoyed this story, there were a lot of grammatical errors, missing words, duplicate wording, and times in which the author placed a word in that made no sense in the sentence. The ending felt extremely rushed and sloppy. I feel this story is worth reading for fun, but it was not really done justice in the end.

Bound to Endure is the second novel in Janeal Falor’s Elven Princess series and is a grand follow-up to the first novel that entranced me with its action, adventure and romance.

Picking up exactly where there first novel left off, Bound to Endure continues to follow elven princess Arabella who has just discovered the identity of her betrothed but whose wedding is thrown into chaos when pirates attack and Arabella and her servant Jocelyn are kidnapped. Taken aboard a ship, Arabella and Jocelyn see their chance after a week at sea and manage to escape, seeking refuge in a human town and beginning their journey home. Though she longs to be with Robert, Arabella is determined to unite the elves and humans, however there are still people determined to thwart Arabella’s marriage to the human prince with disastrous consequences.

After the shocking conclusion to Bound by Birthright, Janeal Falor practically became my best friend by allowing me to read the next novel straight away; before its release. Bound to Endure follows on with Arabella at the altar, having just learnt the identity of her groom, before her wedding to the human prince is interrupted by none other than Captain Smythe. What follows is another fast paced and exciting adventure that sees Falor continue to tell Arabella’s tale and develop her storyline.

I continue to adore all the characters, with Arabella continuing to remain a strong leading lady. Determined to do right by her people, Araballa constantly tries to convince herself of the benefits of marrying her betrothed, even though her heart yearns for another; a man who ignites desire and passion in her and who she wishes she could be with. Arabella has fire in her that I like and I appreciate that even as a princess she’s still the first one to grab a sword and defend herself and those she loves.

Bound to Endure sees Falor explore a bit more of Arabella’s kingdom and that of the human’s, with Jocelyn and Arabella attempting to return home. There’s a lot of emotion in this book as Arabella experiences some heartbreaking loss and the lives of the characters we love never completely safe. Old enemies and new appear and continue to threaten the fragile peace between the elf and human lands.

Janeal Falor will keep you guessing as to what will happen next, even as you as the reader yearn for Arabella to finally get her man and defeat the foes that continue to threaten all she holds dear. And with another startling and unexpected ending, I’ll be looking to start the third and finally book in the trilogy, Bound by Love as soon as I’m physically able! Brilliant!

The author was nice enough to send me this sequel after I told her how much I loved the first one, Bound by Birthright which was published June 6th. Lately Ive been having a difficult time choosing a book and sticking with it. Im like 10% of the way through 8 different books.

Thankfully I dont have that problem with this series. The story just sweeps me away like Im falling into a trance. The writing and the pace was quick and easy to follow. It also flowed better than the first book. I read the entire thing in two sittings. It was just that good. Its a special thing when you find a series that you can fangirl over.

To summarize this series without giving anything away I would say its about pirates trying to kidnap an elven princess to keep her from marrying the human prince. With alot of intense, funny, and charming moments it kept me on the edge of my seat. I love a good fairie story and this one has done it even better by adding pirates.

The antagonist did his job extremely well. I hated him so much, but in a good way. He was an evil violent brute and I love when a character can bring out strong emotions in me. The characters rarely did what I expected them to. I really liked the prejudice between the elves and the humans because its brings awareness to our own prejudice.

My favorite part has to be the female friendship that developped in this book. The first book had a little more emphasis on the romantic interest while this one focused more on a female friendship. The character growth was a beautiful thing to experience. The main character and her best friend are really becoming strong female characters.

I would really recommend this series. Just be aware its a really fast pace story that focuses more on the plot, especially in the first book. There was more character developpement in the second book but all the books in the trilogy are like 200 and something pages so you dont get as much as you would in a 500 page book.

The second book was even better than the first. The author was nice enough to send me the last book in the trilogy Bound to Love which is coming out July 8th. I cant wait to read the final book and see how it all wraps up. Ill be reviewing Bound to Love soon.
