I have to say that I am disappointed in this book. Much of the beginning part seemed to be generic and somewhat poorly written. I will give the book props for having a single picture of each asana explained. However, I thought it was odd that the author actually repeated these pictures and descriptions of poses in the 7-Day Challenge that came later in the book. That seemed wholly unnecessary. The book is already short, so why would one repeat such a large chunk of information? Perhaps the author had nothing more to say. I definitely think some sections could have been expanded to fill in this gap, specifically the sections on meditation and asanas for weight loss, both of which seemed entirely too brief to actually be of use. There are many better yoga books out there on the market, and I suggest you choose one of those rather than this book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Yoga Beginner: Easy Yoga Poses, Best Weight Loss Exercises, Health and Fitness, Yoga Asanas, Yoga Basic Poses, Basic Yoga Postures by Anna Shine There is a lot of information in here about not only yoga, but diet and meditation. There are a lot of technical terms and they do show the positions of yoga and explain how to do them. What I don't get is why repeat half the book in the 7 day yoga program by showing all the poses and how to do them all over again? Good starting tool but I've seen so many others that do justice to yoga.
I love this book. I had a problem with my back for years. I tried a different medication. Finally, after starting with yoga it´s getting better and better. This book has some great tips and some good poses as well. I enjoyed reading it. Images helped me with my imagination
