Two stars for insight into IBMs admittedly leading big-data strategy, but no more due to the excessive promotional approach of this "book". White paper material like this should be free.

in this book, Hadoop is just a pretext to glorify IBM. Only a few code excerpts but endless examples of IBM's greatness. If you want an intro to Hadoop, this is not a book for you.
