Ethan and Hayley were summer lovers until the year Ethan didn’t come back to the lake. Now, after a health scare, the workaholic CEO has returned for the weekend, under orders to relax. He thought the trip was going to be a waste of time until he sees Hayley again. He soon realizes she’s what’s been missing from his life. Hayley never stopped loving Ethan. They pick up where they left off, kissing, bantering, and enjoying fun spankings that lead to hot sex. But he’s a city boy and she’d never leave her cottage by the lake. Or would she? Ethan has a plan that might give them both what they want – or break them up forever.
DON’T GET SO HUNG UP ON A PLACE. IT’S THE PEOPLE THAT COUNT.
I enjoyed this story that revolves around Ethan and Haley. They would see each other during the summers at their Grandparents lake homes. What starts out as friendship, and comradery turns to summer flings and a budding summer romance. But life and responsibilities get in the way, and Ethan is thrust into the CEO position of his family’s business with the death of his father. For Ethan, a scare, a trip to the hospital, and reality of life and death stare you in the face. Forced to take a weekend away, he goes back to the family lake house and back to Haley.
The plot is emotional, and a reality of how life hangs on a string and you need to grab onto what is important before you lose it. The emotional and physical bond between Ethan and Haley is still there, and together the passion and steamy sex haven't changed, if anything it is stronger. But what happens at the end of the weekend? Will they go back to how things have been or realize that their love is more important and find a way to be together?
This is such a sweet love story. For many summers Ethan and Hayley enjoyed each other's company. They explored each other bodies and learned how to love one another, until one day Ethan was gone and didn't return. Until Ethan's grandmother ordered him to spend some time at the lake after a medical scare due to stress. When he arrived he walks out on the back deck to see Hayley rise out of the water naked. Old memories stirred to life in both Hayley and Ethan. Hayley was determined to guard her heart. She knew Ethan was leaving, but she couldn't help but fall in love again. She knew her heart would be shattered, but she couldn't help herself when it came to Ethan. She soon found herself in his arms, just like she never left. Ethan has a business to run and has to go back, but this time he doesn't want to leave Hayley behind. Can he convince her to come with him? Or is she just wanting a last fling? A sweet, yet HOT!!! Love story! You may not look at chocolate sauce the same way... This is a fun read and I was given this book in exchange for an honest review
The story about Ethan and Haley. They have been young lovers for years when they see each other at the lake homes of their grandparents. Haley has never stopped loving Ethan, but he then started a new life in the city. When he has a health scare he comes to his grandparents home to recover he made up with Hailey and they start off where they left. There is a HEA that has them find a way to be together. I give this 4 stars.
Haley has loved Ethan for years but he only realised his feelings when forced to take a break at the lake after an absence of 5 years. This is a very warm emotional story tightly woven around Ethan & Haley. The connection between them which started when they were teenagers has endured and they find a way to be together.
Worth reading this excellent book. Sometimes life has to slow down, so we are forced to take a look at what is truly important in our life. Realistic and often happens in real life. An exceptional described emotional experience to give a closer look an inkling to the experience. I highly recommend this book.
