Raw is a full-length, standalone romance novel with steamy hot sex, no cheating, strong language, an HEA ending and NO CLIFFHANGERS. Contains dark and disturbing themes, and over the top sexiness that may be uncomfortable for some readers. Perfect for fans of Sam Crescent, Jenika Snow, L Wilder, Sabrina Paige, Lauren Landish, Vanessa Waltz, Jordan Marie and Nicole Snow
A kidnapped investigative journalist and a rough, dominating criminal... these two are so ill matched but that doesn’t seem to stop the sparks flying...
I loved the premise of this story...Camilla is on a dangerous assignment when she becomes a victim of betrayal and Dirk is her dark knight on a mechanical steed.... these two have an instant attraction and their chemistry is hot, but what I particularly liked was the push and pull between the two of them and the fact that Camilla is no slouch when it comes to protecting herself..
The author has written a gripping, action packed MC romance with great world building, and a host of believable characters who end up getting exactly what they deserve.. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author.
This one I have to stay was a fizzle for me; I think I spent more time reading about what the characters wanted from their new situation and studying their past history then there was of action. I read more then half the book then gave up because it simply was difficult to keep reading.
Camilla an investigative journalist gets betrayed and gets saved from being kidnapped by a rival mc. She is held for her own protection until it is safe to return home but Camilla tries all she can to escape. The chemistry between Dirk and Camilla is off the charts. Great story, loved it
I enjoyed this story a great MC romance written well it's steamy sometimes a little dark great characters with an happy ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Very well written. It may just be me, but this book moved at a very slow pace. Unfortunately it made the story unbearably boring from around 30%. When I reached 50% I started skipping pages (which I almost never do), and that made me finally admit defeat and give up.
Up until I stopped reading, almost all of the story played out in Alyssa's mind. It contained almost no dialogue. That kind of one sided storytelling is not my cup of tea, but it probably works for some.
I had trouble connecting with the characters. The only one I felt any real sympathy for was Xavier, and that's because he seemed so sad. I just wanted to give him a hug. Alyssa was, in my opinion, not very likable. She was pretty self-centered and shallow. I had a really hard time picturing that strong bond that supposedly existed between the two main characters.
All of this combined made me feel like the book was a never ending rambling of thoughts that circled around a love story I did not buy. And all in a very slow pace.
But as I said, the book is very well written and has lots of depth. I really do appreciate depth in some of the romance novels I pick up. It's usually beautifully written, and sometimes the heavier stories can act like a refuge from the more lightweight stories about insta-love and easy life solutions (which I also love, thank you very much!).
To be honest I could probably finish the remaining 40% of the book with ease, but I'm really not in the mood for it. There's to many other books out there too read, which may be less boring and have more likable characters.
