The McKaslin Brothers #4

Once In A Lifetime

Rate this book
Mia Stanton, real estate agent extraordinaire, is thrilled to have Conner McKaslin for a client. Really. Her secret high school crush on him is completely and totally over—and she's smart enough not to fall for him a second time. Conner is the wrong man for her. Just look at the way he scowls.

Conner McKaslin is happy with the way his life is, thankyouverymuch. He's committed to his job, his life is problem free, and he's buying some Bluebell real estate because he has a good eye for investments. Too bad pretty and way too cheerful Mia Stanton is catching his eye. Surely he can resist her—right?

Great Read

Have read all four books in this series and loved each one. Am wondering why book 5 which is Sawyer's story has not been published. Have written two emails to her website asking when this book would be available and did not receive an answer to either email. Disappointed with this result.

Once in a Lifetime by Jillian Hart
McKaslin Brothers Series Book Four
Mia Stanton knew the McKaslin brothers came to town from time to time to visit Bea, and, in fact, three of the five now lived in Bluebell after finding love. The one she hadn't seen since high school—the one she had a crush on—hadn't crossed her path. Until now. And wouldn't you know it, even with his scowl that said, “Stay away” her heart pulled that crush back out.

Conner McKaslin had his heart barricaded. Closed up for all eternity. Or so he thought. He had developed a scowl that kept most women away from him. As a talented and sought after cardiologist, he found women wanted his money, not him. So why did it feel like his heart was trying to escape those walls when he was around Mia?

Three brothers have fallen—in love. Conner and Sawyer are the last McKaslin brothers standing in the bachelor section. Small-town gossip practically has Conner married off to Mia though. Just because a man who doesn't spend time in a woman's company has been seen with one...and perhaps even lost his scowl around her...doesn't mean anything. She is his Realtor after all.

Jillian Hart has a true talent for letting the reader get inside the emotions and thoughts of her characters, and this sweet romance is no exception. This is the story of Connor McKaslin, the "serious" McKaslin brother. I enjoyed learning why he withdrew from people, and also loved watching him change throughout the book. The reader will probably enjoy this story even more if they have read the other McKaslin brothers stories, although some background is given. It is an enjoyable, easy read, and I highly recommend it. Heavy on emotions and family relationships and light on action,I would have liked to see even more happen during the course of the book, but it is still a very fun read.

Loved each book in this series. Got to know each person and how their history made them who they became. Looking forward to the next book.
