I read and enjoyed it, but I would not have passed the test without also putting in a lot of practice on hamstudy.org. Yes, there are questions included in the book, but flipping back and forth breaks your concentration. I am so glad I read this book, though; for some reason I thought myself incapable of learning this material amd passing the test.
Very good book to prepare for the Extra Amateur Radio exam. Actually, even when you're finished reading it, this book is a handy one to keep as a reference. I'm glad that I got the spiral wound version and I recommend this book.
This is a very thorough book. It doesn't fit in your hand, but more of a college text book size. I did pass my test using this book, but there are more readable books.
