Can “love at first sight” survive both family and the secrets of a dark past?

Lizzie knows how to keep a secret. The graduate student’s former lesbian lover is blackmailing her, and not even those closest to Lizzie know the full story of their abusive relationship. And when Sarah, the beautiful woman of her dreams, crosses her path, Lizzie isn’t anywhere close to revealing her skeletons.

Sarah knows Lizzie isn’t telling her everything. But when she falls hard for the socially awkward Lizzie, Sarah isn’t sure if the growing relationship is worth the mess of lies.

The harder Lizzie tries to keep Sarah from the truth, the more endearingly clueless she becomes. Can Lizzie keep her secrets and her new love at the same time, or will she lose both in one fell swoop?

A Woman Lost Box Set includes the first three novels in a series of contemporary lesbian romances. If you like quirky characters, smart fiction, and a dash of humor, then you’ll love T.B. Markinson’s sexy series.

I don’t remember when was the last time I’ve read three books over a weekend. Wonder why? This is a wonderfully written contemporary romance about a woman who doesn't really know what she wants. Despite the fact that the main character is rich and successful, her problems have nothing to do with that. She needs to learn to be secure enough in herself to accept love from others and learn to leave all the bitterness behind.

The struggle of the main character, Lizzie, in finding herself and all the happening really got me hooked. On a funny note, I could say that I felt often hungry reading about all the meals in the story.
The story is presented from Lizzie's point of view. I admired her occasional sarcasm, especially during her regular meetings with Ethan. I admit at times I didn't resonate with her but that is fine. Everyone is different and each and every one of us, in fiction or in reality, has its own past; sometimes a dark one.
I loved Sarah’s character and I do believe she was the perfect match for Lizzie. At times I couldn't understand how could she tolerate everything Lizzie had said, done or didn't do? Opposite attracts, right? I loved seeing how Lizzie and Sarah met and fell in love. With a good number of necessarily steamy scenes, a lot of humor and heartbreaking scenes, the plot flows smoothly as Lizzie tugs us along, enveloping us in her world and taking us on a whirling emotional ride. An easy and enjoyable read.

Type of reader: Readers of contemporary lesbian romance fiction with a strong voice, fantastic writing, deep character development, and an engrossing story.

What a series... must read for sure

I was very involved in this book with out even trying. I found myself dreaming up extended chapters while I slept. I was really surprised when I started to feel some of the crazy emotions the Characters of the book felt. The Author did such a great job keeping the book so engaging and heartfelt that I could not stop reading it over the past 3 days.
Ok so no that I've said that, let me explain some parts that I didn't like.
The book moved fast.
It jumped from one day to weeks later. Some parts even years later with no smooth changeover. We missed out on The weddings. And the birthing presses. Which was disappointing because the Author made Lizzie freak out so bad it. It would of been nice to go through that with them. The prequel to the first book was done really well. Man she was very annoying and I really didn't like the Lizzie character. But then found myself felling so sorry for her. I totally saw how she got so screwed up.. Maddie was very misleading in her actions. I thought for sure she wanted to experiment... man I was shocked ...
This book. Even though it wasn't smooth in its time lines. Was very good and had me crying, laughing and feeling frustrated. It was really easy to read and enjoyable. I was hoping the chapters were a bit more detailed before moving on in the time line. But I'll tell ya it's worth reading for sure...
Ohhh and it helps to read the bonus book to book 1. It's 4 chapters but it does fill in some of the blanks.
Thanks T.B Markinson I definitely a Fangirl.

A series of events about a couple of dysfunctional people.

A mom who refuses to support and a father who keeps silent. A daughter who is taught to be clueless, lost and ignored. The author tries and succeeds to keep the woman human. Thank goodness! Enjoy! Can't wait to read the next one.

Fabulous book

I loved these books. I loved how Lizzie and Sarah met. I like how the author brought in a lot of the family dynamics and the cost of making mistakes, when she told Sarah that she made a pass at Maddie. This book was heartwarming, heartbreaking and funny. I can't wait to read the next book.

This is absolutely the best series I've read so far. Each book picks up where the last one left off. T B Markinson tells a great story of two women finding each other and loving each other. I really felt very involved in this series!

An incredible collection of three romance novels.

A Clueless Woman:
Lizzie Petrie knows much more about history than she does love. She has promised never to have a relationship again after her former lesbian lover blackmails her. Yet when she meets Sarah, she can't help herself. Thankfully Sarah finds Lizzie's clueless personality charming and their relationship deepens. Lizzie tries to hide her past, but it's becoming more difficult the more she lets Sarah into her life. Will her lies end up ruining the one shot she has at true love?

Another incredible installment in this lesbian contemporary romance series. These books are all about excellent characterization, and Lizzie never fails to enthrall me. I loved seeing how she and Sarah met and fell in love. The relationship is genuine and candid. It made me laugh and had me holding my breath. There is romance and quite a few steamy scenes. The plot flows smoothly as Lizzie tugs us along, enveloping us in her world and taking us on a whirling emotional ride. Great depth and humor. Just brilliant!

A Woman Lost:
Elizabeth Petrie would prefer to have nothing to do with her family. She's happy staying away from them, finishing her doctorate and debating whether to live together with her girlfriend, Sarah. This is until Lizzie's brother calls and introduces her to his fiancée Maddie who ignites Lizzie's desire. Sarah wants more in their relationship, but Lizzie can't stop thinking about Maddie. Lies and secrets. Will Lizzie lose it all for want of the one woman she can't have?

This is a wonderfully written contemporary romance about a woman who doesn't know what she really wants. The characters might be rich and successful, but their problems have nothing to do with their careers or financial status. These are real problems that I found it easy to relate to and commiserate with the characters.

Lizzie is a strong, intelligent, and passionate woman. Being self-absorbed, her point of view is skewed. I loved it when things about other characters were revealed that she missed, because I was so caught up in Lizzie too. Sarah, Maddie, and Ethan are powerful presences. Each fascinated me in their own way. The story is driven forward by the people, and the characterization is exceptional.

A Woman Ignored:
Lizzie Petrie has survived one big fallout in her relationship and now she's about to be tested again. Her wife Sarah surprises her with the announcement that she wants to have a baby. Lizzie's baby. If that doesn't shake up Lizzie's world enough, her haughty mother is diagnosed with cancer. With a baby in her future, she wants to make some peace with her estranged family. Yet will the effort destroy her further?

This is the sequel to A Woman Lost, a contemporary romance that amazed me with its fantastic characterization and dramatic plot. A Woman Ignored is just as well written and ups the intensity of the story. Lizzie's narrative is compelling, unusual, and quirky. She's a woman who sees things differently than others and brings forth questions others might not think about. You see a lot more of her heart in this book, and you can understand why Sarah loves her so. Their relationship may be bumpy at times, but it's drawn with the vivid colors of reality. It's quite sweet - and steamy! - at times. Sarah, Maddie, and Ethan are great complements, and I love the addition of Doug to their group. Just as fascinating was getting to see the dynamics of the Petrie family in the midst of a crisis.

Don't pass by this box set! T.B. Markinson writes a great romance and these three titles are some of her best. Expecting just your average lesbian romance though would be a mistake--you'll laugh and cry with the characters and wish they lived next door so you could hang out some more. I really enjoyed this series and it's rare to have one that feels so complete. The author doesn't bother with a huge cast of characters, yet nothing seems forced or redundant. Three great books with awesome characters and interesting plots! Also for those of you that are sticklers...these are very well-edited.
