“All I want is a life. …My own life.” - Host
“Not so fast! We’ve got a life too.” - Clare, the loudest alter

Two arms, two legs, ten fingers, ten toes. One brain, seven alter egos and one host. Sometimes, the numbers just don’t add up. After more than thirty years in a mental hospital, dissociative identity disorder patient Lola Murray thought she’d finally silenced the voices. But it doesn’t take long for Lola to realize her alters are back. This time, they refuse to be silenced. After months of lying dormant, Lola’s seven alters are determined to be heard by the world. Will Lola be strong enough to reclaim her life? Or, will she once again allow her alters to take charge?

Make sure you read book one Alters before you read this as book one ends in an ending where you will wanna jump into this book straight away.

I couldn't wait for this story and the author didn't disappoint me. I ended up reading this in one sitting as I didn't wanna put it down. I really enjoyed this story. Along with being a heartfelt story there were some great laugh out loud moments.

I'm looking forward to reading book three.

The more I get to know Lola the more I want to protect her. I am also enjoying getting to know the Alters on a more personal level. You get a better sense of their individual personalities even though they make up a whole( if that makes any sense). Host picks right back up whre we left Lola in Alters. However, this time around it's easier to follow what's going on and with whom because you've had time to spend with each character throughout Lola's life experience. In this book Lola is out of the hospital and the Alters are allowed some freedom, so to speak, to be themselves. Then BAM! There's a tragedy and Lola is left reverting back inside herself. I can't help but pray she will survive this. I have great faith in her though. I laughed, I cried and I even got angry from time to time. This is not a book you can easily put down. I look forward to reading Merge book 3 next. Job very well done Erin!

This is a continuation of Alters and I feel this series really needs to be read in order for it all to make sense.
Lola thought all her alters had merged. She was finally out of Rosewood, got her licence and was signing up for classes.
This book Lola struggles with how or if she should live with her Alters. It Definalty opens your eyes to someone that has to live with this condition and the people that love them. Lee did a WONDERFUL job with this book!

At the end of Alters, Lola is out of Rosewood, thinking that her alters have merged into one personality. She misses them, but she is in the process of trying to move on with her life outside of the mental institution. In Host, she wakes up one day with foggy memories of one of her alters (Clare) having resurfaced. They only tricked her into believing that they merged. They now want to experience life outside Rosewood to the fullest...

In this installment, Lola and her alters have a larger variety of experiences. She gets reacquainted with her family, and she learns about the Internet and all it has to offer. Her experience is so disjointed because all of the alters are eager to get their turn in the real world. Lola is more confident, but she is also confused and fearful that her family and her doctors will discover that her alters did not merge and send her back to Rosewood.

The experiences of the alters when they take turns controlling Lola's body are quite heartbreaking. Since two of the alters are male, this causes some nasty name-calling and even some physical abuse at one point. Other people whom she or the alters confide in treat her like a "freak" in some instances. She does have several people who are truly kind and supportive, which is really wonderful. There are some revelations about her family in this book that put things in an entirely different perspective as well.

In this book, where Lola is "free" for the first time in 30 years, we see more how people with mental illnesses are received, and it is truly heartbreaking. This is a wonderful series, and I look forward to the next installment!

Wow, I so loved Alters and I didn't know if Host book 2 in the series would be as good as Alters was, and to tell you the truth it was so much more than I ever thought it was going to be. Mrs. Lee had me hooked with the first book Alters and has kept me wanting to know what will happen to Lola, and the Atlers because they are as real to me as if they were seperate people not alter egos of Lola. Will they get to live their own life or will they be erased when they merge. Truly cannot wait to keep reading this great series to find out what will happen to Lola and with everything that has happened to her. Will she be able to live her own life! I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

As a continuation of Alters, this book was interesting and funny and sad and even frustrating at times. I feel for Lola and everything she has had to go through because of her illness. I've learned so much about multiple personalities and how real the alters are. The dilemmas that Lola goes through are heart breaking, but when all of the alters take their turn in the limelight it is cute, funny and sometimes tragic. Because my daughter got her Masters Degree in this field I am even more fascinated in the dynamics of what is happening inside Lola's mind, and I REALLY hope she will read this series and like them as much as I do!!! So I definitely recommend this book, and I'm now off to read book 3 Merge. I can't wait to see what happens with everyone!!! Enjoy!!

I was eager to see what would happen with Lola and all of her alters in this next installment of the series. The direction of this book did not disappoint as it jumped right back into the identity struggle of host versus alters. I could feel Lola's frustration and all that was going on within her head. When the deal was decided upon, I was very curious to see how each alter would spend their time of being in charge. Things were certainly a whirlwind as host was pulled to and fro by the seven different personalities within her. Add to that her external struggles, and this book was nearly impossible to put down. I was on the edge of my seat as the alters battled amongst themselves while trying to decide what was best for Lola. The end of this book had me instantly grabbing for the next.

Another awesome book! After reading Alters, I waited with baited breath for Host. I couldn't wait to see if the alters were actually back, or not. There was more humor in this one because the alters each got a chance to be in charge for a week. Some of the situations they got themselves into were hilarious, like Frog in the bar, or Tim during his turn. Lola even meets a doctor that really seems to listen and understand her. Then tragedy strikes and Lola shuts down. Can she survive this? We will find out in book 3 when it comes out.

I really couldn't wait for this title. Book one was brilliant and ended on a cliffhanger which nearly killed me. Host really doesn't disappoint. Lola is a real character and her Alters are so well designed that at times I forget that are not physical people. This book has me laughing at times. The turn of phase used at points is brilliant and the story moves seamlessly from book one into book two. Can't wait for book three I need to know how this ends!

Erin Lee has once again managed to write a series that has me glued to the story from begining to end. Book 2 continued right where one left off. This book had more humor and we got to learn more about Lola and her Alters. I can't wait for book 3 but at the same time I do not want this series to end. Erin Lee continues to be a one-click Author for me
