I just took the TEAS and scored in the 99th percentile nationally. In addition to studying from this book, I also bought the Kaplan TEAS online “qBank” and did all of the 500+ questions offered there.

Here’s what I did: I started studying 1 month before my exam. First, I did a practice test to see where my weaknesses were. Then I read through this book carefully (never more than 25 pages a day - you get overloaded). I also did Kaplan qBank questions every day - about 50 questions per day. For the questions I missed or was unsure about, I read through the answer explanations (the explanations were far more thorough on Kaplan than they are in this book).

The actual TEAS science questions are considerably more difficult (detailed) than they are in either this book or in the Kaplan questions, so spend extra time reviewing notes from your anatomy and physiology classes if you feel fuzzy/unsure about certain areas! Good luck.

I definitely recommend this book if you’re studying for the ATI TEAS. However, for the science section I’d recommend using extra resources to go into more detail.

My favorite thing about this book is that they also have a YouTube page where you can follow along with teachings on the same topics.

There are three practice tests and I would say they are fairly accurate to what you can expect on the real exam. However, reading and math are way easier than what is presented on here.

Lastly, I also used the study manual from ATI and I personally felt that one helped me more if you had to choose. But, if you can do both I would! For me what helped is that both sources can touch on the same subject while using different lingo and that helps me understand on another level.

Great resource in preparing for the ATI TEAS exam! This book helped me score 20 points above the national average. I highly recommend this book, just be sure to read it in its entirety.

Awesome resource for taking the TEAS. I haven't taken a math or science course in many years. I picked up this book, studied for 6 weeks and passed the test with flying colors!

I will say one thing about the pre-tests in the book, the science portion of the pre-tests are way easier then the real test. So study science really hard, even if you're getting good science scores on the pre-tests.

The book could have been set up with a better test explanation (can use 4 function calculator, how it's scored, etc), it could have been organized in a better way (take a practice test FIRST, not 3 at the end), not so much emphasis on area, surface area and volume of shapes (only had 1 question and it was on circumference), more emphasis on A&P and cells.
