Ash
It’d been more than three years since I last disrobed a woman, and she definitely wasn’t screaming like this woman…whom I just met and who was in labor in the back of my SUV. Little did I know that this chance encounter was about to change my life in ways I could never imagine.

I’d spent the last three years searching for my fiancée, unsuccessfully. I never thought I’d love again. And then I met Mina.

From the moment I met her, I didn’t want to let her out of my sight. I never expected how much I’d enjoy having her and her newborn son, Ford, living with me at the compound, and I dreaded the day when they would pack their things and leave.

My draw to Mina is undeniable. She’s gorgeous and caring and selfless, but can I move beyond my past and see a future with her?

Mina
Ash shouldn’t act like a complete stranger…after all he delivered my son. But even when I do a simple act like hug him as a sign of gratitude for the kindness he’s shown my son and I, he steps away…although he does seem to be lingering a bit longer with each forced embrace. Maybe one day?

I couldn’t have stumbled upon a better man to help me in my predicament. Ash is beyond handsome and gives me a sense of safety that I’ve never felt before. Not only has he put a roof over my head, but he’s even helping me soothe my newborn son in the middle of the night…although I don’t think he wants his friends to know that quite yet.

Ford deserves someone better than his biological father. He needs a man like Ash, a man who can protect him and teach him how to protect himself. He needs a good, generous man as a father, someone who will love him unconditionally.

He needs Ash.

I need Ash.

I’m just afraid that the secrets and lies I’m carrying with me will be the things that make a life with Ash impossible. Will the truth set me free, or bury me forever?

Note: ASHFORD is the final book in the Gray Wolf Security series. You can read it on it's own, but it is highly recommended that you read DONOVAN, DAVID, JOSS and KIRKLAND too :)

This series was offered as a 5 book bundle and a kindleunlimited, so I decided, why not. I was originally going to write separate reviews for each book, but I've decided not to, and here's why: Every single book in this bundle felt almost identical. They had the same exact formula. All the characters felt the same, they reacted to situations the same etc. Very generic overall. I'd rate most of the books in this series a 2.5 star with the exception of Kirkland. I'm going to rate that book a 1.5 star because the hero was such a manwhore. In other books in the series he was constantly parading around women and screwing them, at times not even knowing their name. Ummm no thanks. By the time I even got to his book I had little interest in his character, but I did complete the book, and still did not feel as if he redeemed himself. I doubt I will read anymore of this writers work. It just felt overly predictable and generic. Cardboard characters and plot. I am glad it was offered on kindleunlimited though.

From the very beginning, this entire story seemed far-fetched. For 4 books now, Ash has been valiantly searching for his believed to be dead fiancee and nothing comes out of it... ok, sure, so he !! It makes no sense to me why the author decided to go this route and as a result, the pairing of Ash and Mina felt very rushed and unnatural. Ash did not act like a Green Beret at all (not that any of them really acted like military/police), but rather he acted like a petulant child many times in this book, more so than his namesake, baby Ford.

Answer me this, who takes home a random homeless woman without knowing who she is?! Some securities expert you are, not to even run a background check on the woman or try and find out anything at all about her background. Was it kind of him to do, yes, but it was also unrealistic. Mina should have been honest about her past long ago and saved everyone the trouble of getting shot/beaten up. That boggled my mind... how many more times are people going to get hurt before you do something?!

Side Note: As I am writing this I'm realizing how awful I sound... it's been a long day, I'm in a bad mood and that is reflecting in my review. Please don't listen, I just kind of need to vent... beesides, I'm just writing this so I remember what I thought when I read the book, because I tend to read so much that I forget the less memorable ones.

I will give brownie points to the author for referencing Misha Collins and "Supernatural," though- that made me very happy!! :)

Wow....perfect ending to a beautiful adventure filled story....I always wondered has Ash’s story would go. This one had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. I love the back and forth between Mina and him. Mina is a strong minded individual who has been to hell and back. Ashford’s story was a mystery this entire time . I love watching the way he came to forgive and love all while protecting the family he created.

This entire series at its root is about family. It’s about the lengths we go through to protect the people we love and care about. I absolutely loved this series and couldn’t put it down...

....Happy Reading!!!!

This was a good book, I was glad to finally read what happened to Alexi. Other reviewers have mentioned how similar the books are. Yes, the storylines are similar, but they are still good books, ones that kept my attention.

The best is always saved for last! This was my favorite book of this series. Ash is the founder of Gray Wolf Security, David's older brother, and the one who saved the lives of each team member, in one way or another. He has been searching for his fiancée for over 3 years, after an op they were working went wrong, or so he'd always thought. Mina had a difficult life growing up, but when she leaves home to search for a better way of living she finds out what true hell actually is. She finally escapes, but being 9 months pregnant and not having anywhere to go has lead her to the worst enemy of the baby's father. She knows that he's a good man, but is afraid that if he knew the truth that he wouldn't allow her and the baby to stay. Not knowing what to do, she stays quiet, until another attack and she can't hold it in any longer.

Will Ash be able to let go of what he thought was his future with a woman who disappeared years ago? Will Mina find the strength to tell Ash the truth before more attacks happen? Will he be able to save his team, who have become his family? Will he ever forgive her for what she's done? Will either of them get the HEA they deserve?

This was the perfect ending to this great series. Full of suspense, love, betrayal, heartbreak, loyalty, and surprise twists that will keep the pages turning. I loved the epilogue and learning about everyone and their families.
I strongly recommend this book and series.

Ashford is more intense than the previous books in the series. It feels like a time clock is ticking with Ash's need to finally lay Alexi's betrayal to rest and learn what David found out about her. He also has to figure out who's after his team after two of them are injured on low risk jobs and another is attacked.

The emotional depth displayed in this story is great! Ash falls hard for Mina, whether he wants to admit it or not, and thinking she betrayed him too brings out those feelings he'd rather not own up to. As for Mina, she's made a lot of bad decisions and she's paid a steep price for them. However, nothing makes her feel as terrible as not being upfront with Ash from the get go and seeing his family become pawns in a game they don't know they're playing. She knows she's fallen for him, now she has to come up with a plan to make him believe her.

I would say this book is equal parts intense, emotional, sexy, and forgiving. Ashford ties up loose ends and gives updates on other members of the team-weddings and babies are always fun! By far, Ash and Mina's book is the best in the series-definitely my favorite of the bunch!

I want more

An amazing finale to this series. Watching Ash throughout all the books pining for Alexi, knowing she was alive and not knowing where she was made me want to give him a big hug. Even after finding out where she was and what her life was like now, he didn't want to believe it was really her. Until Mina came crashing into his life and made him think about the possibility of moving on finally.

Mina has to get away from Dimitri and save both her son and herself, there's only one person that can truly save them. The one that Dimitri hates the most, Ash Grayson. She went to him to ask for help, but instead he ends up delivering her son and moving her in with him. After several of the team members and friends are injured due to attacks, Mina finally explains why she was there and will do anything to prove she wasn't out to hurt Ash or the team. Only question is...will she make it out alive or will she leave her son motherless with the hopes that Ash will take him in and care for him.

4.5 stars. This series kept getting better with each book. Ash & Mina's story was the best. Possibly because I wanted Ash's story since book 1 and probably because it concluded with a happy ending for all. It's funny that in book 1 I thought it was a light romance even though the story line had the potential to be intense. But with each book it felt like the writing was increasing in intensity and I was getting more emotionally invested in the characters. I loved Ash from the beginning though and really needed to see him find his happiness. The interactions with Ford were icing on the cake. I'm sorry to see the series end.

Hate to see it end!

I really enjoyed the series. I didn't read them in order. It gave enough background, where it counted, for it to not be that big of an issue. Well written, not a lot of editing errors that you get with a lot of Kindle books. Have to say, got a lot of slack over my tears in one of the parts, but that just means it was good enough to feel them. I would recommend this series because the stories are different, not cookie cutter plots. Characters weren't perfect, they were flawed. These are books I will enjoy reading over and over.

Good read

The last one of the Gray Wolf team to be caught by romance its Ashford and Minas story. Ash is the owner of Gray Wolf who has been searching for his lost fiancee for three years and finds love when Mina lands in his arms when she collapses in front of him when in labour with her child. Its quite a moving story when he finds his lost love and its not how he believed. Romance wins through difficulty and completes the Gray Wolf family. This series although not brilliant and a little repetitive is well worth reading.

I'm torn on what to rate this, but I think I'll go with 3.5 stars. I liked book 1 in this series, but the others fella bit flat for me. I'll admit that from the earlier books, I expected Ash's story to involve him reuniting with Alexi after a kidnapping or something. Instead, he gets a new love interest. I'm not saying that this was a bad choice, but it just didn't feel completely authentic given how the other books led up to it.

The story as a whole also wasn't particularly believable.

Yaaaaaaaay Ash finally got his HEA!! I enjoyed this a whole lot. I'm also glad to see that he chose to handle his past prior to continuing to his future. Because of a selfish individual betraying him for over 3 years, years he won't get back. They weren't even going to tell him either, just let him continue the way he was. Thank-You David for seeing that Ash needed help & taking care of getting results!! That's what I call a true family!!

Read via Gray Wolf Security box set.

In my head I built up a better book for Ashford, I expected better from and for him in this final book. I am so disappointed. Mina was supposed to what, just move aside if Alexi was alive and willing to be with Ash? "I had to make sure it was done. That there was no chance of her and me ever..." and Mina being the good little door mat that she is accepted this without complaint. I get that she is immature and stuck with nothing but give me a break.

I love this series. Ash is the owner of Gray Wolf Security. A chance meeting of a homeless pregnant woman has him delivering her baby on the side of the road, baby is fine but momma is bleeding out. He rushes her to the hospital and when her and baby are discharged he offers the refuge until they can get on their feet. Oh, their is a battle with a drug cartel too.

Ashford!!

I love the team at Gray Wolf Security. Ashford finally dealt with his past of the missing fiance. I was surprised by her reasons for leaving him behind. I was glad he was able to let go and peruse a life with Mina and Ford. The bonus books are awesome.

A novella, part of a series. Enjoyable but way too short. Maybe the author had some other idea but my copy of this book was combined with another story about a billionaire which was nowhere near as interesting. I quit before too much of the second book had started. I feel cheated!
