Rate this book
#1 Amazon bestselling author Ethan Jones bring the hottest spy thriller of the summer, The Central Connection, the ninth novel in his wildly popular Justin Hall series.

After a clandestine Canadian Intelligence Service operations team is ambushed in Syria, James McClain, offers Justin Hall, the CIS's best field operative, a next-to-impossible mission in exchange for his return to the agency. And Carrie O’Connor, Justin’s trusted partner, volunteers for this mission, willing to do everything to bring home the former love of her life.

After fighting alongside Kurdish Peshmergas in violence-ridden badlands of Syria and Iraq, Justin finds himself a target of Mossad. He had made a deal with the fierce Israeli intelligence agency, and they have finally tracked him down, forcing him to carry out an assignment on their behalf.

As Justin and Carrie begin to prepare for both operations, they have to rely on less than trustworthy allies, including smugglers and an Iranian nuclear scientist. After a dramatic turn of events in Tehran, Iran’s capital, Justin and Carrie find themselves in perhaps the worst firefight of their lives. They have to make their way not only out of Iran, but also out of the quagmire of lies and deception that is threatening to swallow them for good. And if they can escape the lion’s den, they still have to face the man responsible for the CIS operations team ambush.

The Central Connection is an adrenaline-drenched, edge-of-your-seat spy thriller that seals Ethan Jones’s status as the new master of spy fiction. Fans of Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn or David Baldacci will love this new electrifying espionage novel.

The Central Connection (Justin Hall #9) by Ethan Jones is the ninth in the series but it can be read as a stand alone. I was looking forward to this one to see how he was going to get back in the good graces of his boss and his government! After the last book, he took off and both his government was after him and the enemies! Wow! In this book, a deal is worked out but it is really the second mission in the book. You get two exciting tales in one. These stories are so action packed, suspense filled, complex plots, very developed characters, and so well written I feel I am over there in the middle of it and I get nervous reading it! Tell me Mr Jones, how do you know so much about these areas and cultures? Amazing! I am really hooked and this is not my genre of books to read at all. I read fantasy/sci-fi normally. I never thought I would be reading spy novels. These are excellent. I loved how he handles the last mission!!! A must read! I was given a copy for a honest review and it in no way effected my review or rating, it is just darn good.

I received a copy of this book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

This is one heck of a ride. Just and Carrie are paired up to head to Tehran, meet up with an asset and swap money for intelligence. Along the way they are met with a barrage of gunfire, bullet riddled vehicles, treacherous mountain paths and unknown assets. What could be more fun?

Reading about it.

Ethan Jones knows how to grab your interest, hold it, and make you believe the unbelievable. His characters are strong, dedicated, and interesting. His world building is on point and helps you immerse yourself in it. I couldn’t put the book down. As Justin, Carrie and Ali Mansour made their way through the countryside into the city, met up with the asset and tried to return home, I was on the edge of my seat. This is one exciting ride. Get you copy now and be prepared for a wild adventure.

Justin Hall, a rogue CIS operative, at this time due to an mistake he made. He in the past needed help from Mossad so told them he would help out, so when Mossad caught up with him, he was forced to help. Also back at home headquarters they needed help with an op and Carrie was told to find Justin and offer him a way to get back in to their organization. So with an OK from headquarters Carrie and Justin first head out to take care of the Mossad issue. This doesn’t work out as planned. Lots of twist, turns and action that keeps you reading and on the edge of your seat. Will they get the first op done so they can move on to the next one? If so will they be able to finish the CIS op or is there more to the fist op that they don’t know about? Looking forward to the next book.

CIA Connection see Justin Hall in a tough position of needing a way back to his old life working for the CIS but also owing a favour to Mossad. A deal is worked out but not before Justin and his CIS partner Carrie O’Connor agree to take on a daring mission. I’d hate to give away too much of the story but it’s safe to say Ethan Jones really puts his characters in some tough situations throughout this book. He does so with his usual skill and talent giving his readers taught scenes crammed full of tension coupled with explosive action. The plot is fast paced and complex and the characters are brilliantly brought to life. This is truly a ‘just one more chapter’, ‘can’t put down’ kind of book. You really can’t find better for action spy thrillers than Ethan Jones.

The CIA Connection is an excellent addition to the Ethan Jones' Justin Hall series.

Justin Hall, a former agent for the Canadian Intelligence Service (CIS), is offered a covert operation by CIS Director James McClain with the intent of bringing him back to CIS after a successful completion of a mission. But success is not guaranteed in that this mission is extremely difficult highly dangerous.

Along the way, Justin meets his partner, Carrie O'Connor, who was away on her own mission; and finds friendly Peshmerga fighters; ISIS forces; Eli, a member of Mossad's kidons (i.e., assassins) and his teammates; and an Iranian nuclear scientist. And all of the action is taking in places such as northern Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

Hop right in a read this thrilling story. You won't be sorry!

Fast paced

You need to keep your wits about you with this one! Everything happens at such a rapid pace that it can make your head spin.
Justin finds himself in trouble.... again, and Carrie comes to his rescue. They continue on together and face bad intel and bad help. They face losing a long time ally that they didn't expect. They then show their true colors about animals and make sure they are well fed. Such a couple of tricky trips to get to where they needed to go, my head was spinning! Excellent read and moving onto the next attraction.

After his last op for the CIS Justin Hall has disobeyed orders and gone rogue to try and get the justice he believes he is due. After two months Mossad is pressuring Justin to fill his part of an agreement he made earlier. It sounds like a suicide mission to him and Justin wishes he had the help of his former partner, Carrie, when there she is! She has a mission that if they can succeed will bring Justin back to the CIS. But first Carrie will help Justin complete the mission for Mossad and hope they both survive.

The Central Connection by Ethan Jones

This is another well written and fast paced thriller about Justin and Carrie, Canadian secret intelligence agents. The heart stopping action takes place in Syria, Iraq and Iran. This book includes two very dangerous operations. One is for Mossad and the other for their own agency. Many times it appears they are so outnumbered by criminals there is no way they will survive!! A great read!!!

he story has your full attention right from the beginning. Justin is out fighting against ISIS after going rogue. He is offered a way to get back into his old life and his boss's good books that he thought would never happen so he jumps at the chance. The mission for Mossad doesn't quite go to plan but Justin finds a way to make it work out for the greater good. This book is a thrilling read and the ending sets up nicely for the next installment in the series. It is a very well written book

The Central Connection. Ethan Jones

Justin's fiancee is killed during a covert operation. Justin has gone rogue....revenge is a strong motivator. He is in debt to Mossad, he always honors his word. Problem is nothing is as it seems. Bad intelligence. Carrie reunites with Justin, he has been given another operation, a , mission with his former employer, Canada's clandestine services. This is an extraordinary read!! Full of action, suspense! I highly recommend!!

CIA Connection: A Justin Hall Spy Thriller: Assassination International Espionage Suspense Mission, my twenty-second read from author Ethan Jones. CIA Connection is, in every sense of the word, a thriller set in the Middle East. With each book he writes, Ethan Jones continues to polish his craft, with this book being better written & more satisfying than some of his earlier works. It's hard to believe that it's been 6 years in book time since Justin Hall was introduced and in every book I've read he's gotten more developed & more complex, which I like. I'm a character reader, I get into the characters and what makes the man or woman who/what they are. The interesting twist is that the main characters are Canadian who denounce the United States at every opportunity, so many books are so oriented in the US that we, as readers, sometimes forget there are other nations out there with differing points of view. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to the next book in this series. January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

This is the ninth book in the Justin Hall series. The book does not end in a traditional cliffhanger. But the ending is a leadoff for the next book in the series. There is a lot violence and may not be appropriate for sensitive readers.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. This is a well crafted thriller. The author did a good job of keeping a steady pace throughout the book to keep this reader interested. It kept me guessing what twists and turns would be revealed in the pages ahead. At some point Justin is going to need to remember that no good deed goes unpunished. As usual, nothing is quite as it seems on the surface. After being on the run, will he complete the mission and finally be allowed to go home?

I really enjoyed this book and had a hard time putting it down.  I intend to keep on reading more about Justin Hall when the next book is published.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ethan Jones keeps the action going throughout the entire book! There is lots of danger, suspected betrayal, car chases and gun fights. And Justin and Carrie have TWO assignments instead of the usual one. This one is hard to put down once you begin.

That was a heck of a ride. I’m pretty sure there will be people who'll say it’s a little too soon to go for the laugh, but I think the cover story for the final mission in the book was INSPIRED! I really enjoyed The Central Connection and can’t wait to see what trouble these 2 get into next.
