The Ninth Inning series presents Memphis Angels’ left fielder, Roman Dailey.
Roman Dailey can’t stop thinking about the time he spent with Carissa at a party at the end of last season. When she moves to Memphis, he can’t help pursuing her. He knows who he wants, and he’s willing to go after her. Even if she is his teammate’s little sister.
Carissa Rodriguez is known as the little sister of first baseman Hector Rodriguez. In a mad dash to get away from her life in Florida, Carissa can’t seem to make up her mind on anything besides the fact that she wants more of Roman Dailey and she doesn’t know how to stop her growing feelings for him.
Roman and Carissa think their biggest hurdle is telling her brother, which could possibly mess with the team’s good streak by causing tension amongst teammates, but they weren’t prepared for the curveball life throws them.

We all know by now how much I love this series but I was not sure if I was going to be interested in Roman because he did not have much of a role in the other books. I should have known that Lindsay and Mary were not going to disappoint me.
We met Carissa in Hector's book and I really liked her. She is Hector's little sister and was so fun. In this book some things have happened and she is no longer the fun loving college student. She has moved to Memphis and Hector makes it very clear that she is not to date anyone on the team. I was a little interested to see what Carissa's mother would do in this book since she was insane in Hector's book. Luckily for everyone, she has calmed down some.
Roman is pretty awesome. He was there for Carissa in every way that he could be. I really ended up liking him. Roman seems like a playboy at time and others times he is perfect boyfriend material. I really did love Roman. He is a really great friend first and truly cares about the people in his life. There are a lot of things that I want to say about each of them but I don't want to spoil the book for you.
I am giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5. Go get it!!!
I have read all the books published in this series to date and pre ordered the ones I can. I can't wait to read about the last two players. This could be a stand alone but having read the other players stories it's nice to know the history on some of them. Tanner of course would be the last one. I love Carisa and Romans story. They are such a sweet couple. Let's just hope Hector can be convinced of the same.
As usual the story kept me at the edge of my seat!! I loved how the relationship grew into something deeper that had me rooting for the couple since page 1! The baseball moments were on point and the characters really drew me in! its a great story and another great addition to the series!!
