When I landed the best bartending job in downtown Chicago, the rules were as clear as the Grey Goose martini I mixed for him. Don’t sleep with the patrons. I had no problem with that. Money didn’t impress me. But Damon Baxter’s eyes did. Midnight blue, just like the name of his nightclub. The way they undressed me made me consider risking the most sought after job in the service industry. Nailing the position had been hard. Obeying the rules? Even harder.
Good thing I like it hard. I was never one for following orders. For one night with him, I would have sold my soul to the devil. And that’s exactly what I did. Let me tell you, hell in the company of Damon Baxter was blissfully hot. I offered him a single night of pleasure, but when he demanded another in that deep and sexy whisper, what could I say? He was my boss, and I always aimed to please…when it pleased me.
He didn’t care that I broke his rules. But was I ready to break my own?
I was born and raised by deaf parents in the Metro-Detroit area along with four siblings. Growing up in a house full of children, there was never a dull moment! We all inherited the reading gene from our father, who is a voracious reader. And the reading gene continues strong in my own two sons. I'm happily married (second time is a charm) to a patient and loving man who always cheers me on from the side-line to pursue my dreams. What more can a girl want?
"I'm a simple man beneath the suit, Samantha, and all I want right now is you."
➦This steamy novella left me pleasantly surprised. The sex is hot, the characters are better developed than I would have expected for 141 pages. It is an enjoyable sexy read that could be devoured in one sitting. There's enough going on with the plot to keep you interested until the very end. Not too much drama and the MCs actually talked to each other to resolve problems.
➦Samantha comes from the life of privilege but abandons her family home to escape the powerful and manipulative men in her life. We are talking arranged marriage and betrayal here. Once you get past the fact that this sort of scenario is probably not very likely in real life and embrace fiction for what it is... you actually might end up feeling sorry for the heroine. I know I did!
➦Samantha lands a bartender job at the hottest club in town. Damon, the control freak billionaire owner has all kinds of rules for his employees to follow. When he and Samantha meet at the bar... sparks fly and the crazy ride begins! ♥The author made Damon a very likable character - you will be amazed at how many things this guy excels at! And I'm not only talking about his skills in the bedroom! *wink*
✘One downside of the limited amount of pages is the lack of relationship development. Damon went from thinking of Samantha as "the woman he bangs" to the "love of his life" in a blink of an eye. At least that's what it felt like for me. Perhaps it is because the book is told primarily from Samantha's POV and the one chapter from Damon's POV shed little light on his developing feelings for Samantha.
➦If you are looking for a quick and steamy read this book might be your cup of tea. Recommended for those who are fond of erotica and alpha male heroes (in business suits).
This was a hot little read! Samantha was confident and sassy. Damon was confident and commanding. The writing was mature, the story line intriguing and lots of chemistry between the couple. With this being a short story, I didn’t expect it to feel like a full length book. There was more than just these two sexing it up, there was an actual plot going on. I loved it and would read more from R.C. Matthews.
Fan, check! Ice water, check! Fast, flirty, humorous and smokin’ hot, Breaking His Rules by R.C. Matthews could be the “IT” read for this summer as two people buried under the structure of rules discover that the number one rule is to Live, Love, and Laugh. So what if they discover Lust along the way, too!
Samantha has landed the cherry bar tending job in town, but the rules are strict and they all start with, “NO,” and includes NO fraternizing with the customers, no exceptions. When a clearly wealthy, healthy and gorgeous guy catches her eye, resistance may be futile, but she needs this job and to not be melting into a pile of goo under his gaze.
Damon is a man who lives by rules, his rules. Little did he know his own rules would end up kicking him in the backside. Samantha is a goddess and he wants her, every inch of her, only problem? HE wrote the bar’s rules, but can he convince Sam to break them? Guess he didn’t know Sam has her own rule,”Never sleep with the boss.” Who would think being the owner wouldn’t be a perk?
Discover the heat that can be created when the rules are thrown out the window and passion reigns supreme. Scorching hot, intimately sensual and filled with witty banter this is more than just an erotic read! This is boy meets girl, girl loses boy and only an act of God can get them back together. Why is it the better they are together, the harder they are to convince?
R.C. Matthews deserves a golden pen for bringing love, lust and laughter together in the best way!
I received this copy from R.C. Matthews in exchange for my honest review.
Publisher: Tule Publishing (May 19, 2016) Publication Date: May 19, 2016 Genre: Erotic Romance Print Length: 146 pages Available from: Amazon | Barnes & Noble For Reviews & More: http://tometender.blogspot.com
This was a very sexy, entertaining and fun story! I loved the way everything came together in the end. It touched my heart in all the right places. :) This was a well written and satisfying story for it being only about 150 pages. Short stories can often feel under-developed or that there was something missing, but I didn't feel that way with this one. The author put together a perfect balance of romance, steam and story and it was perfect for a lazy afternoon of reading. I will admit that I usually shy away from the billionaire romances. I had my fill of them after the FSOG market flooded us with so many. But, then this author comes along and gives me something a little different and I was relieved and definitely well satisfied. Damon is not your ordinary billionaire. Well, at least he doesn't behave like one. He has all of the normal attributes you would expect... rich, sexy, bossy. But, what makes him different is that he is also a pretty outstanding guy. When Sam succumbed to those sexy blue eyes and agreed to a one night stand, she thought her heart was safe. But, one night was simply not going to do. Damon wanted more and I loved how their one night stand turned into something so much more each time they got together. This is erotica that I would put in the "feel good" category. Lots of passion, desire and lust mixed with a little heart. Left me with a smile on my face which is always what I am after.
Many thanks to the author for the complimentary copy!
I read this back when it was initially released as a three-part serial. I'm going to add those reviews here until I get a chance to read this updated, novella-length version. ☺
Again, this is no longer a serial, but a complete story. Please disregard the mentions in my old reviews below about separate parts/installments to this title.
The first in a three part book serial, Meeting the Boss introduces us to Samantha, a stunning, sassy bartender who works hard and plays even harder. She's not afraid of her sexuality which is actually pretty refreshing. And she wants nothing to do with Damon Baxter, the billionaire with runway-model looks who owns the super exclusive nightclub where she works. Well, her libido wants something from him but her heart tells her to stay away. He's bad news and she's been down that road before.
I won't get into plot specifics, but I'll say this is a great first installment that teaches us there's more to Samantha and Damon than what's apparent on the surface. Oh, and the heat factor was way up there. My A/C has been down, and this steamy read didn't help matters much. *fans self*
I don't read contemporary romance/billionaire storylines too often, but this was a great quick read--well paced and well done. I'm looking forward to what else this author has in store for us.
Pleasing the Boss is the second in a three part book serial, and it's delightful. This installment explores Damon and Samantha's budding relationship, though I don't think either one of them is ready to call it that yet. And that's ok! Right now they're both having fun. Sweaty. Sexy. Fun.
This time around we learn more about Samantha's family and backstory and are introduced to a character who could prove to be a problem for these young lovers.
I enjoyed this short story/novelette, though I like the first one more. Admittedly this isn't my typical genre. The fact that I had such a good time with it is reflective of the author's talent. When I finished, it had me thinking I might even explore the billionaire genre further(!)
Looking forward to Part 3!
Claiming the Boss is the final installment in this author's Billionaire Obsession Series, and it does a great job of wrapping things up.
This short story/novelette is a bit of a whirlwind, starting off in the bedroom with Damon, Samantha, and some kinkytimes before the happy couple finds themselves torn apart. I won't get into what happened and how or if it was resolved, but I will say I really felt for each party involved. The emotions were very well written and I had my fingers crossed for an HEA despite how bleak it looked for them.
As someone who doesn't typically go for contemporary romance, I've found that short, sexy stories really work for me. The Billionaire Obsession Series is perfect for my preferences in this genre.

This is the story of Samantha and Damon! This is a fast read about a girl wanted to make it on her own and a man who made it on his own! The writing was ok but depth was missing for me. The beginning of the book convinced me that I'd love it....unfortunately I couldn't feel the connection of Samantha and Damon although their flirtations felt intense! The book is written by Samantha's POV (with the exception of a chapter that was written by Damon's POV but without any notification).
Samantha isn't who she seems to be. She comes from a rich background but she left everything behind to make it on her own. I liked her strength and her quick reactions. On the other hand, there were points that I couldn't understand how for example she had Jimmy Choo boots but she was living in a tiny studio.
Damon isn't who he seems either. I found him really charming in the beginning but I felt his insistence with Samantha was more reaction than action! Not my piece of cake!
The way that they met felt so intense and promising that I was sure that their connection will bring fireworks to my heart! Unfortunately this never happened! After their first night, I couldn't see how their connection became deeper.
The end was nice and had a couple of twists in the plot. There was also an Appendix with all the rules and I found it really nice! I believe that if the book was a bit longer and there was a bit more depth in the heroes, I would have loved it! It had everything to be a success for me!
I don't understand why this book does not have a higher average rating on GR.
This book was hot , sexy ,funny ,intense and sweet. It is listed as a novella and although I read it in a day it felt much longer than a novella. This book had me thinking about the lead characters, Damon and Samantha when I was away from my Kindle and I kept picking it up to read when I was meant to be doing other stuff. Always the sign of a good story! Damon is a billionaire. A self made successful businessman. His character is just lovely. He is driven, determined, adores his family, is funny, sexy and he is not an ass with issues. He is a ruthless businessman but he is a good person. Samantha is making it on her own in Chicago despite those closest to her not wanting her to succeed. She is strong and outspoken. This girl has her head on straight and she is written with a good mix of sass and sweet. Go into this blind if you can. The story unfolds and captivates you. Things happen quickly, probably because it is a novella, but it is a gorgeous book. There is a LOT of very HOT Sex in this story. Hot. Hot. Hot. Just sayin' ......you may need a kindle freezer moment or seven! HEA? Yes. It's lovely. Cheating? No, these two are solid together . A beautiful , quick read that leaves you feeling that all is right with the world. And will also have you playing Queen songs......
Lust and chemistry vie with alpha maleness & betrayal in a manner that will leave you reeling. Matthews combines the best and worst of all aspects of humanity in this intriguing and unforgettable instalment of her serial. I was captivated by her detailed and intricate storytelling, and floored by the plot that embodied both erotic romance and rising above one’s past. Her descriptions were phenomenally detailed while still allowing readers to use their imagination and place themselves in the middle of the tale.
This is definitely a steamy story! The instant attraction between the characters is so blatant that you can’t help but feel it. But Matthews’ story is about more than simply that. I appreciated how well she developed the bar that the characters find themselves in. I enjoyed the bartender lingo that was used consistently throughout. It really helped me get into the main character’s mindset & see things from her point of view.
Matthews has definitely created some memorable characters to carry this story forward. I can just picture Damon’s very ruled and ordered life being blown apart by his sexy heroine. These two characters also fit very well together. It was easy to see how they complement each other, without being seamless.
I love the little sneak peeks at the characters’ histories throughout this novel. I loved getting to know Damon & Sam better as they got to know one another. There’s more than simply lust between them now, making the entire story more entertaining. Trust and caring definitely play a real role here. Oh, but don’t get me wrong. This one is still as hot & erotic as hell.
This story is scrumptiously hot. The enticingly detailed scenes bring everything forward in a way that makes you feel as if you’re really there alongside the characters. Matthews brings everything together while still providing a story packed full of all the steam that we’ve come to know and love from her.
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. 'Breaking His Rules' by R.C. Matthews is the story of Damon and Samantha . 4.5 Stars! Also I wanted to note that this has a happy ending and is not a continued story! Samantha has left her father, his company and all his money after she had an argument with him over her broken engagement to a man who tried to use her to close a business deal. So Samantha is moving to a new location and has taken a new job as a bartender. There she meets the boss Damon who she is quickly attracted to but his rules are you don't sleep with customer or co-workers. But is he really a co-worker? Damon seems to want her too! They can't seem to fight their attraction to each other. But now her ex is back in the picture trying to get her back. Also it appears that Damon might not be an open book as you would think. I enjoyed this easy, hot read that I could not put down. I hope to see more of Ms. Matthews!!!
This was a really steamy and exciting read until the last few chapters. The story was good but the end seemed a little rushed. Everything fell into place a little to quick and easy. 3.5 stars.
* Won a copy from the author during the Kiss & Tell Con 2018 in the Kiss & Tell Group. Exciting fun!
Sexy and sweet, this was a really fun read! I loved Damon, he was a fantastic, layered hero. I'm always impressed when an author can make me feel the full spectrum of conflict and resolution in so few pages.
It's no secret that I don't read many novellas. There's really no massive reason other than I like a full book, you know? I don't want to just get a taste of something and then have to buy 76 other novellas so that I get the whole story. I guess maybe the issue is that I'm cheap, right? Well, whatever the reason, I don't read them very often. Actually, I didn't know that this was a novella when I picked it on NetGalley.
All of that being said, this really didn't read like a novella. It was a super intricate and very much complete, story. Which kind of took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting that in the least. I was totally surprised when I started to write this review and I realized it was only 146 pages. That's a good thing! So much detail in so few pages. That's something to be proud of.
I liked the main characters (Damon and Samantha) but I don't think that the first interaction that they had together in the book did them any justice. So Sam is a bartender and Damon owns the place she works and I'll just say that the first scene with them was bordering on raunchy. I don't know if I'm becoming a prude in my old age of 36 or what but damn. I totally worked at the wrong places when I was Sam's age. Anyway ... that whole scene just cheapened them. Maybe it's because then they both fell into the dreaded INSTA-LUST. Geez. I think that this is the kiss of death for some books. I just don't see it as being realistic and it's not that books need to be totally realistic all of the time but they need to be at least a tiny bit plausible especially when it's a romance novel. But that's just me. Personally, I'd rather read a book about a love story that is within the realm of possibility.
The characters were just okay but the storyline was actually pretty interesting. I liked where it was going and even though it was overly dramatic at times, it was good. The drama stuff came back to the characters again ... they would blow stuff out of proportion, especially Samantha. That was a bit irritating and made me start to lose interest.
So not a BAD book, it kept me entertained for a few hours but it's just not something that I'll be rereading, I don't think. Too bad because some of these scenes and situations in the book were pretty good.

'Rule #1: Don’t sleep with the patrons. Smiling and flirting is encouraged to enhance the customer experience. But check your libido at the door. Offenders will be terminated immediately. No exceptions.'
WOW, I did not expect this. I actually really enjoyed this book!
Like i've said a couple of times, a lot of books feel the same and I get bored. So I was scared this was going to be the typical 'Girl falls in love with Boss' kind of story, but it was NOT!
The flirting and banter SOLD me from the beginning. I loved Samantha from the start because she had such a smart mouth and had this confidence I LOVE in heroines. Yes, she swooned over the hero but she still held her head high and had a sassy response to everything.
'There was nothing I detested more than rules. They forced people to conform to someone else’s views of right and wrong.'
Damon was just swoonworthy and I DID NOT EXPECT WHAT HE DID AT ALLLLL! I loved that little plottwist!
Such a cute story filled with the perfect amount of steamy sexscenes, romance, humor &drama.
I highly recommend if you want to read something fun that will be a breath of fresh air.
A great, smoking hot read with humor and great written sex scenes!!!
Samantha takes a job at one of the hotest nightclubs after walking out on her uber rich family who expected her to marry into money. Instead she ran from it all, leaving behind an ex fiance who betrayed her trust in one of the worst ways possible.
The club has a set of rules that every employee must follow. Samantha thinks they're crazy, but is so thrilled with this job that she accepts them for what they are. Everything changes though when she works the VIP room and a customer hits on her.
I appreciated that the author portrayed a realistic flow of the relationship between Samantha and Damon. All too often relationships are rushed leaving me feeling disconnected from the characters and the story line but this is not one of those books!
** ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review **
I do not know what possessed me to ask this book from NetGalley, but I did. My rating is more like 1,5 than 2.
The story begins like bad porn flick - short introduction, hot gals, hot guys, billionaire hot boss, couple of words and then checklist of sexual positions in bed. If that's the reason you chose this book, then it's perfect.
Well the following is a bit better, bit more interesting, but it's still filled with contradictions and absurdity, that I just could not like it. It's a typical New Adult book, but it was too snobbish, too porn flick and too much "mommy porn" style and it was without a single one good idea in it.
Just when I thought I was ready to take a break from erotic romance (there's only so many alpha anti-heroes and naive ingenues one gal can take) I came across this gem. Breaking His Rules is engaging, hot, relatable and most importantly believable. I am a sucker for a bartender romance, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the said tapster is the biggest, baddest femme fatale in the Midwest. Yep Samantha has got it going on and I liked her unbridled enthusiasm for a well-dressed man and some no strings private room action. Daman Baxter isn't bad either, and I appreciated everything about him ;). This couple has something that you don't often see in contemporary romance, a credible and convincing ADULT relationship. No fluff or dubious discussions here, just actual emotion, chemistry, and lust (lots of lust). The backstory veers to the typical, but Samantha and Damon's relationship more than makes up for it as does their conflict resolution. Don't hesitate to pick up this charmer.
Talk about good things coming in small packages! This story may be a short one but it's a good one. Sam needs her new job as a bartender, but she can't help but want a little something with Damon, her customer. She just doesn't know this guy is the one who made it forbidden for employees to become involved. But he is just as into her as she is into him.
He may be filthy rich, but he is a good, caring guy. I think that is what i appreciated most about his character-he wasn't a jerk who sees the light. She is strong but weak when it comes to giving into her lustful feelings for Damon.
He wants more and is determined to get more than the one night she wants to give him. Enjoyed this read very much!
Although this is a shorter story it was well thought out and keeps you captivated till the end. Steamy, humorous be ready to be over heated reading this one.
Damon seems to have a lot of skills and lucky Samantha gets to be the 0ne to experience them. Samantha gets a job as a bartender at Damon's club and the sparks fly. Although she comes from a life of privilege it hasn't been a happy one. These two really worked well together and the steamy scenes will have your reaching for a very cold drink to cool the heat.
AS always this author seems to know just the right things to write to keep me coming back for more. I truly love everything I have read by her.
I won this book in a Goodreads first-reads giveaway. This book has interesting characters, intriguing plot and amazing chemistry between the characters. Easy to read with a satisfying ending.
Although I enjoyed the chemistry between Damon and Samantha, I hated how her father and sleazy ex-fiance betrayed her. Damon should not have paid off that creep after what he tried to force Samantha to do with his business associates. Instead Damon should have had him arrested!
I requested this book because the blurb sounded interesting, and to be honest, I hadn’t read an erotic romance in awhile, so I thought it was time.
This was ultimately a fun book, with a somewhat cool plot. I enjoyed the writing, it flowed well, and the sex scenes were greatly written – which is always a big issue with erotica, given that the sex is one of the main things in it. Actually, comparing this one with the book I read before, How Not To Fall, I have to say that this one had hardly any sex in it, eheh.
The characters were interesting, and I really liked their connection and chemistry. Samantha was a strong and independent woman, and she knew what she wanted out of life and, most importantly, and she didn’t want. Damon was also interesting, and very different from most of billionaires in these kind of books. I also really enjoyed the inclusion of family and their different relationships.
So, this books wasn’t just about the sex, the romance was actually nice, but it was still a bit of insta love, and things were definitely too fast. It would have been almost perfect if the romance has taken a little bit more time, because it was complex enough.:)
Ultimately this was a nice erotic romance, and I would definitly recommend it, if you’re into this genre.
Rule #1 Don't sleep with the patrons. Well it turns out he wasn't really a patron. But he was oh so tempting! Rule #2: No dating or intercourse with your co workers. He wasn't really a coworker too but intercourse is such a clinical term for what they ended up doing and doing and doing. Rule #8: Leave your baggage at home. Turns out that was easier said than done, especially if you suffered the worse kind of betrayal in the relationship department.
Meet Samantha Rayne, bartender extraordinaire or so she thought until she met Damon Baxter. Billionaire extraordinaire and her boss. But this billionaire is turning up to be so different from all the other billionaires she knows. He is sexy and rich but he has so many layers Sam can't really lump him with all the others she's known. What started out as a one night stand that can burn the sheets with its heat turns out to be one relationship she can't turn her back on despite being burned before. Breaking His Rules is fantastic in its writing of deeply layered characters interwoven into a simple plot that churns out to be a great erotic romance. Its guaranteed to keep you fanning yourselves and going all mushy with the emotional depth these two characters manages to portray in just a 100 or so pages.
A bar in Chicago and a hot man that makes you wanna break the rules what more could you ask for in a book! OMG this book was hot and so good. The chemistry from the beginning was off the charts and that twist had my mouth hanging open. I was speechless, but oh so good.
Samantha came from the rich life and she left to discover herself and show her father that she could make it alone. She made the smartest decision on that one especially when it came to her ex-fiancé who thankfully she did not marry. After some setbacks she got a job at Midnight Blue, a well known bar in Chicago. There were rules and you were to follow them to the T. Well rules are always meant to be broken, right?!
Damon is the owner of Midnight Blue and his logic on why she isn't breaking the rules is awesome. LOL I was a little shocked at the details that unfolded with him and am so glad it didn't go the other way. For him to do what he did, means she was truly special and not just another girl. I so wish I could say more, but that would give you spoilers so just do me a favor and go read this book cause it was so good.
The epilogue was swoon worthy and truly made the book ending that much more awesome. A must read!
Amount of sex - 5 / 5 How explicit - 4.5 / 5 Fetish elements - 2.5 / 5 Romance - 4 / 5 Overall: 5 / 5
Breaking His Rules by R.C. Matthews is a steamy, naughty, and captivating story about Samantha Rayne and Damon Baxter. Samantha Rayne comes from a well off family who owns and manages a restaurant in NYC. Her father and ex – fiancé, Giovanni, were placing horrible demands on her. Unwilling to comply, she leaves and moves to Chicago to seek independence. She finally gets a great job as a bartender at an upscale nightclub after a year of struggling to be on her own.
One night, while bartending in the bar’s invite only lounge, she spots the most gorgeous man. One she’s even willing to break the rules for. While flirting, she discovers that Damon is her boss. She takes a chance and agrees to meet him after her shift. What begins as a steamy hot night, turns into more.
I absolutely recommend Breaking His Rules! It had many plot twists as well as hot sex scenes, which kept me totally engrossed. A must read story! **ARC received in exchange for an honest review**
Samantha Rayne left New York for Chicago to get away from her controlling father who sabotaged every job she had gotten in hope that it would make her return home. When Samantha finally got a coveted bartending position as at Midnight Blue, Chicago’s hottest night club, she had no idea what she was in for.
Billionaire playboy Damon Baxter could have any woman he wanted, but he had set his sight on Samantha. There was a reason he hired her and he had no plans on letting her know the truth. He would follow through with his plan and then set her free. But Damon was starting to fall in love with Samantha. That was definitely not part of the plan.
When a man from Samantha's past arrives in town, everything changes. She is afraid of Giovanni and how far he will go to get back together with her. Damon vows to keep Samantha safe. But how will Samantha react when she finds out Damon wasn't entirely honest with her when they first met?
Lies, deception, wild passion and new beginnings make this book one I that I was instantly hooked on.
I love a quick and dirty erotic read, so when I read about R.C. Matthews Breaking His Rules I thought it would be right up my alley. I'll admit I wasn't expecting a lot from this story, but I was very pleasantly surprised as I read. Samantha is trying to make a life for herself, one where she can live her own way, by her own rules. When she starts working at Midnight Blue as a bartender, she is cautious around her new boss, Damon. Damon is is the millionaire owner of the club and he has rules for his employees, including they do not sleep with the clientele. He and Samantha have explosive chemistry and she agrees to one night with him, but Damon wants more. This story had a lot more than just steamy sex going for it. In fact, it felt like a complete novel and not just a novella because they story was filled out and we really got to know the characters and get into their heads. This was my first read by this author, but will not be my last.
I'd read volume 1 of this series a while ago, so I was super excited to "finish" Damon and Samantha's story! Samantha is a sassy young thing, determined to make her way in life and not rely on her family connections. Damon Baxter is the mysterious billionaire who owns the hottest nightclub in Chicago, Midnight Blue, where Samantha just scored a job as a bartender. I have to say, I enjoyed getting to know Damon as much as Samantha did. (well, okay, almost). Damon isn't your typical billionaire character. There weren't a ton of references to an opulent lifestyle or a bunch of lavish gifts, which was refreshing.
Favorite scene: The dueling pianos. So fun and different. Recommended for: Those looking for a fun and smart take on a treasured genre.
This was a very hot and steamy story. Samantha was working hard to make it on her own. Out from under the thumb of her controlling father and her ex-fiance she refused to give up. She was also determined to not get involved with a controlling billionaire after what her ex-fiance and father put her through. Damon is the billionaire that owns Midnight Blue, the club where Samantha started bartending. She doesn't fully trust Damon, but the attraction is so hot she really wants to. I really enjoyed reading this story. Getting to know Damon was wonderful. I was quite shocked at the secrets that came out, but I enjoyed the way things worked out for Samantha.
copy courtesy of Netgalley this is a short erotic read. Samantha is an heiress trying to make it on her own without the family money. She has been struggling for more than a year when she scores a job at the hottest nightclub in Chicago. There are rules that you much follow in order to keep your job. When Samantha meets the billionaire owner, Damon, the skirt a lot of the rules. Damon is not you normal billionaire. He is sweet, sexy and down to earth. I enjoyed both characters and loved the banter between the them. Nice little epilogue at the end. t
