Like all middle books of trilogies, this one is filler.
Not only that, but the first 15% of the book is devoted to how disgusting the villains are. I did like that the author didn't make Kitten bounce back with no repercussions. I also like her bloodthirsty style of justice.
After Kitten is rescued, the plot returns to the awesomeness of kitten and her devoted merry wolves.
It was fun, but I can't really think of anything else to say about it.
Oh yeah, except there's sex in this one. It's not particularly hot, but still pretty graphic.

Kitten was a bit more tolerable for an MC this time around. Thank god, for the almighty smut!
Keeping My Pack is basically about Kitten finding out her true family.. or what a true family means to her. She also finds out that she loves all 8 men in her life. Yes, you read that right. 8 men. Not that most I've read for a harem.. but it did get better in this book. Kitten's character definitely grew throughout her torture and kidnap. She stopped acting like an annoying child and was sort of making teenager-ish decisions.
Her taking these guys on mates was amazing. The smut that came from it was fire and it probably made me like her a bit more than I did before. My favorite guy, this time around, was way too hard to figure out. Of course, I loved Ash in the first book but idk about this time around. I find it hard to believe that I couldn't figure out a favorite. It's breaking my heart a bit.
Other than that, I liked getting to know her grandfather a bit more in this book. The ending did shock me a bit because I was kind of thinking that it was super hard for females to get preggo.. but there she is, pregnant. I just have one question, WHO IS THE FATHER? I know in harem's- the guys and the girl usually don't care about who the father is.. but that's all I'm thinking about. I need to know!

I love you and hate you right now!
The book is great! There are a few things that didn't come across right but I love kitten and the guys! You are seriously the queen of the worst cliffhangers on earth! My favorite part is the last page I won't ruin it for anyone else but kellen on his knees is heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time :) my only wish would have been knowing the reactions of the guys too :( can't wait for three!

I debated between a 2 and a 3 for this book, so I guess I'll say 2.5. While I liked the characters, I felt like the story was very anticlimactic. This book also needs editing. There were numerous times where I was taken out of the story just trying to figure out which words were missing in a sentence. Also, what a misspelled word was actually suppose to be.

The book starts with where the last one left off - Kitten imprisoned by her uncle in the basement. Now not wanting to spoil anything, I'm just gonna review the basics.
Kitten
She was as strong as ever, not letting the world get her down, even after all she's been through, though I'd say she was more fierce in this book. In Finding My Pack, Kitten is naïve and innocent but throughout this book, she became more confident around other people, as well as the guys. And I really enjoyed that Kitten stayed the same compassionate girl, as she was in the first book, when she first met the guys. And her protectiveness over them was awesome!
Seven words to describe Kitten: unyielding, honest, strong, loyal, reflective, caring and thoughtful.
The guys were protective and loving as usual. The fact that they never left her and followed Kitten wherever she went made me fall for them even more.
The downside of the book were errors and personally I thought there were a tad too many but they didn't stop me from enjoying the book and I could look past them.
Overall, Keeping My Pack was one hell of a book, Lane did an amazing job and I loved the ending! . Even though some say the book ended in a cliffhanger, I think it was a rational conclusion to the story and I'm really excited to read the next book!

Okay.. I really liked this one. But there are some things here that kept this from being a solid 5 star read for me.
1)- I thought this was the conclusion to their story. It's not. Though the ending was a bit of a cliff hanger, it wasn't a surprise because you saw that happening two miles away. It ended more like a Mmm... I wonder how this will play out? Not a.. OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT ENDED THIS WAY!!! So that wasn't bad, but what left me wanting was the point that brings us to number 2)- The last five or six chapters was just filled with unnecessary mundane happenings when other things could have been explored leading up to the way the book ended.
It was just chapter upon chapter about EVERY freaking detail on how they got situated in their new surroundings. Which I felt could have been conveyed in half a chapter. It got to the point where I was like, Okay. I get it. Y'all have a lot of stuff that you need to do. Can we move on please?
I needed to see more interaction in their new surroundings and less check list, on everything that needed to be done.
It was just annoying for me because it happened in the last 6 chapters of the book. Just very pointless, packed in details, that felt out of place so close to the end of the story.
Boring Filler, I guess you could say.
Considering how strong this book opened and even in the middle of the story, just how intense and interesting certain reveals were, to be left with the last few chapters on such a bland note with a minor cliffy no less, just left me wanting.
I would still recommend this read. It was a good read regardless, but you CANNOT tackle this one without first reading book 1. So I HIGHLY advise you to read these in order.
Will I be back for book 3? Of course I will. I'm way too invested in these characters not to return. I just wish more was given on that front towards the end of this read.

good. certainly smuttier than book 1 (which is fine by me, I don't mind it, but it will turn some people off for sure). I wasn't super thrilled with the new changes in this story. It was an okay plot, but I found that I enjoyed book 1 more.

🌟Brief Summary:
Kitten was left as a baby in a dumpster. She was saved by a crazy old lady that thought she was a cat…. Hence the name Kitten.
-She grew up up on the streets and had a lot of tough but character building experiences.
-One night she is attacked and finds help in the form of 8 wolf shifters who want to help her.
-But as things progress her past is discovered and it leads to love, heartbreak and a whole lots of self discovery & more danger.
Can this young lady change the course of wolf shifters forever?
‼️ Opinion‼️:
Wow ok… this was a super sweet, very odd, pretty freaking funny, innocent yet totally sexy read. It was very enjoyable and went to places I wasn’t expecting.
-Book 1 was a bit odd at first and definitely different in a good way. Kitten is street smarts to a degree, book smart to a degree and TOTALLY NAIVE AND INNOCENT in almost everything. Odd combination? Yes! But it worked and was very entertaining to read.
-At first I was like 🤔 then I was like 👀 then I was like 😂 then I was like 💗. So yeah that about sums up the first book for me.
-😬So Kitten isn’t sure how old she is. She thinks 16yr old. So while we know her harem is hundreds of years old it could come across as pervy. But I assure you she is 20yrs old and her men take things VERY SLOW and are extremely understanding and patient with her. They are so sweet and do everything in their power to make her happy and comfortable.
-This world requires you to suspend belief so if you just go with it eventually you just enjoy it for what it is… a not to be taken to seriously read.
-Book 2 & 3 are a bit more focused on the revelations we learn at the end of book 1. So while book 1 is all about building the relationship and bond, Kitten learning and experiencing new things, the other 2 books have more storyline.
-I love her men💕💗they really are so good with her. I love how they took her to new place and showed her new things. I just love how they treated her. In turn she really changes their lives into a life worth living again. And gives them all what they always wanted… true love and a mate.
-One thing I ABSOLUTELY ADORED was that we get all the good stuff about this relationship. The sweet small moment and gestures. The growth in their love. The pregnancy and birth of their kids and we get to see the kids as children and the harem as amazing dads. We get a good amount of this cause it’s worked into the story and I loved it❤️.
-The mate marks and bonds could have been explained and developed better. Why were they mates -how does it works- ext.
-Annoying- In book 2 we get her first BJ experience. Then in book 3 she says she has never given a BJ before and we basically had the exact same “first time”scene, thoughts and experience from book 2 but with a diff harem member. Annoying cause cohesion is important.
-Overall I enjoyed this series and took it for what is was. Fun, light and sugary sweet with a dash of drama and an an overall storyline.

Do not bother reading until a properly edited version is submitted
I stopped at about 17% which due to the lack of editing in this book was actually quite a feat. It's almost unreadable. There are so few paragraphs in this book that don't have major grammatical errors that it's honestly easier to count the ones that lack errors. If someone tells me that this book was edited I will call shenanigans. The author was too eager to publish the second book while the first was still relevant that she sacrificed quality.
I do not feel bad about giving it a harsh review based on editing. Whether a person has a good author or not so good does not effect their ability to read through their story and clean up basic errors like typos.

August 4, 2017This book was better in some ways than the first but also not as good in some ways... The editing was a bit better for me, but this book also had a lot of filler that was unnecessary, too. Instead of gpong on and on about ebery detail of their new digs, they could have used that space to go into detail about the deaths of a few people that I'm sure the readers would habe wanted to see. That's just my opinion. I didn't like how it just glossed over their deaths but went into needless detail about something that didn't matter as much. All in all it was a good book, still. Now I'm left wondering if and when book three will be coming. Oh, and I saw that ending coming a mile away...

SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
I really liked this installment in the My Pack series. I had a lot of fun while reading this and there were many times when I did not want to put it down. While I did not like this as much as the first one, I still really enjoyed it.
This book starts off with arguably one of the most depressing and horrific first chapters I have ever read. I had an unending stream of tears running down my face while I was reading it. I just felt so bad for Kitten and the situation she was in. I wanted for all of it to stop so bad because Kitten is truly a good person. No one deserves to go through what she did but especially her. She has had such a hard life already, it just seems so wrong that she had to endure more torture.
I love all of Kitten's mates. Each of them are special in their own ways and all of them are unique. Watching them interact with Kitten is heartwarming and just gives me so many feels. I loved watching their relationships with Kitten develop in the first book and it was just as good watching them grow in this installment.
I didn't know what to think of Maksim at first. I was extremely worried that he was going to try to tear Kitten and her guys apart and because of that, I immediately had a negative opinion of him. I didn't appreciate how he just came out of nowhere and decided that he had a say in Kitten's life. I think that Kitten said it right when she said that he doesn't know her and only cared about her because of what she would do for his pack. Though, as the book went on, I started to like Maksim a little more and I am okay with his character now.
The reason I took stars away would be for the pacing of this book. I really enjoyed the first 65% or so but after that, I found the pacing to be really slow. I was having a hard time continuing reading and I was having to force myself to pay attention.
Overall, I did enjoy this book. The cliffhanger at the end wasn't shocking, but it did make me want to continue the series. I don't know how I feel about the whole pack wars thing though. It makes me hesitant to just jump into the next book.

I love all of Kitten's mates. Each of them are special in their own ways and all of them are unique. Watching them interact with Kitten is heartwarming and just gives me so many feels. I loved watching their relationships with Kitten develop in the first book and it was just as good watching them grow in this installment.
I didn't know what to think of Maksim at first. I was extremely worried that he was going to try to tear Kitten and her guys apart and because of that, I immediately had a negative opinion of him. I didn't appreciate how he just came out of nowhere and decided that he had a say in Kitten's life. I think that Kitten said it right when she said that he doesn't know her and only cared about her because of what she would do for his pack. Though, as the book went on, I started to like Maksim a little more and I am okay with his character now.
The reason I took stars away would be for the pacing of this book. I really enjoyed the first 65% or so but after that, I found the pacing to be really slow. I was having a hard time continuing reading and I was having to force myself to pay attention.
Overall, I did enjoy this book. The cliffhanger at the end wasn't shocking, but it did make me want to continue the series. I don't know how I feel about the whole pack wars thing though. It makes me hesitant to just jump into the next book.

Keeping My Pack begins with Kitten trying to keep her sanity. She's being held captive and all is not well for her. She's going to have to face a whole lot worse if the guys don't come to help her in time.
And the guys are learning things about Kitten they never knew, like who she really is, and what will happen to them all once she's rescued.
This book was not as good as the first one. I liked the fact that we got to see more of Kitten and the guys together. But I really felt that Kitten's "title" meant nothing in the long run. She really didn't do anything in the book other than talk a few times. I was really frustrated with the fact that the guys all took "control" and it felt like Kitten didn't do anything.
Other than that this story was very interesting, and it was nice to see how much closer together Kitten and her guys were. It was also a cliffhanger ending, but it was a wonderful ending that has me excited for more in this series.

This one felt like filler for much of the plot
Kitten was abused but she bounces back pretty easily aside from a couple of bumps along the way. It would've been a bit more realistic to cut out some of the unnecessary stuff and show Kitten maybe struggling a bit with moving on from her trauma
We get a bit more of her history as she discovers her grandfather and the members of her deceased father's pack
Nevertheless a cute read
Ash is my favorite of the guysand
Jace is an asshole

Let me start off my saying that I was eagerly awaiting this sequel. The first one was great. It had world building and character development. This one is a first rough draft. It's not even proof read. Forget grammar Nazi reviews here; I'm talking important words missing so that you don't k ow what the sentence was trying to say. I forced myself to finish, because I rarely don't finish a book, but this one was terrible. It deserves no stars. She didn't even go back over it, and proofread it herself, forget having beta readers or putting any real effort into this book. Just another self-published wanna be, trying to call herself an author.

This second novel ends up introducing some new, sorely needed characters which lifts the end and leads onto a fresh, although not unexpected direction.
The sexual material continues to become more explicit and somewhat raises the level of maturity from the previous novel.
Not necessarily a sophisticated read but not a bad one either. If you enjoyed the first book this is a pretty good follow on.
I will be going on for the next novel.

Amazing
The 2nd book made me laugh, cry and angry all at once. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down, when I finally got it I stayed up till 3:30 in the morning to finish! I will probably read it again & again. I look forward to the next book, especially from the very last sentence.

Again it's a cute story. And I respect the work that the character, the female character, does to get her pack in order. However, the grammar scares me. And there are certain points throughout the book that I think the author is doing exactly what I'm doing by using Google voice to text. I am however going to read the last book because I want to see how things work out.

Book 2 in the series sees Kitten learning more about her heritage and gaining more responsibility than she could have imagined. Luckily, she has 8 loyal and protective men with her every step of the way.
The PTSD Kitten was dealing with was hardly touched on (only fleeting nods to it, for example her issues with food and eating something not made by her mates), if infused into the tale more potently it could have added a rich layer to the story and character development. Happily the steam level picks up in this one.
At about 31% Jace and Logan have this wholly unnecessary conversation about Logan changing his hair style – I really didn’t care. Still overall an enjoyable read, that had me picking up book 3.
This book also ends in a tiny cliff-hanger but nowhere near as big as in book 1.
One series that must be read in order.

I was a little less impressed with this one simply because now that things are established, there's less of developing the sexual relationships. I also feel like Logan and Jace's sex scenes were given far less time and effort compared to the other six. I know eight is a lot but if you can't give eight guys their due course, then don't have eight people in the harem :/ Logan's been important from the start you can't tell me he wouldn't be one of the first to get claimed and mated after all that.
Like with the last one one of my main issues with the story is the unbelievable nature of things. Kitten recovers super fast from being beaten, imprisoned, and abused for 10 weeks. I feel like the author could've spent more time seeing Kitten recover and readjust, just explaining that she "doesn't dwell in the past and wants to help others" isn't enough to like... get her over... trauma... because it's clear she did have trauma, not just shock from a bad situation or that she should've used a different plot device to launch us into the story regarding Kitten's family ties.
I also lost interest with a lot of the werewolf politics stuff personally and didn't read these areas super carefully as a result; like I know what's up but I paid more attention to scenes of loving and sweetness lol. Not that it's bad but I came to the series for character and relationship focus, not seeing Kitten move to Colorado to basically rule over a large commune of werewolves. I think the angle is somewhat interesting, but as I read today it just wasn't doing it for me.
The ending was also like a major cliffhanger/revelation but I hope book #3 isn't Kitten just being moody and hormonal and everything thinking it's cute how bratty she is while pregnant.
Speaking of that, Kitten also tends to still be really immature and annoying and do a lot of thoughtless, stupid things but like no one ever gets mad at her. Like she transforms Mikey on a whim all indignantly and the guys have the scramble to make arrangements. This bitch is in NO position to just take a kid when she whines and cries and acts like an infant; I know the author makes her good with kids but she's good with kids in the way a 13 year old babysitter will get along with the two eight year olds they're babysitting. Why aren't we seeing her develop into a more mature person? Why is she still like this? I hope having puppies makes her act her age (apparently she's 19 or 20 but like she still acts like a goddamn child).
Anyway, onward to book #3. It apparently had a like 3 year publishing gap from this one and just came out recently, so let's see what the long wait produced.

MY PACK series - YA reverse harem series about wolf shifters that transitions heavily into new adult in the second book.
Finding My Pack - I took a chance on these books, even knowing the third one wasn't out and there's no fixed release date for it yet. That said, the main character's naïveté nearly made me give up in the beginning. A girl abandoned in a dumpster as a baby would likely be hardened by her circumstances, but apparently the wolf pack needed the innocence rolling off her in waves, so it is what it is. There are eight, YES EIGHT, potential mates in this series, and you would think that would get a little messy and hard to keep track of. And it was at first, but surprisingly, each guy really was his own character. I will say that the cliffhanger ending was completely unnecessary, especially having read the sequel and finding that there was an absolutely perfect spot to end at after only about a few chapters in. I almost didn't even read the second installment because it's been pretty predictable thus far...and yet, I let my curiosity get the better of me once again. 🌟🌟🌟

Worth the wait
I know many of us were dying with anticipation to find out what happened after Finding my Pack left us with that heartbreaking cliffhanger. Well it was well worth the wait for me! There is so much I want to say about this book but I don't want to give out any spoilers. I will say that the hotness level in this book goes up about 1000% from KMP. Man oh man the scenes with these guys!! Kitten goes through some pretty rough things while away from the guys and has a hard time recovering from that. We get more of the guys point of views and learn how much Kitten has changed each of them and impacted all of their lives. Then we get to meet a whole new pack and I love how Kitten handles all of that. I think Lane did a fantastic job with this story. I love how real she writes. Some of the things Kitten says or does, as much as she is out there sometimes in her social awkwardness, I can relate to her and see her as a real person. While this book leaves you wanting more and dying for the next story, it's not a major cliffhanger like the last one. I am looking forward to reading the next book! Well done Lane!
