I love the preciseness of how sentences moved things forward without exhaustive detail. Everything written felt like it was to help things move, rather than be described. Visually built up a lot as well.
His heart and body being barried in different places because of who he was and how he wrote is huge. I also wrote down like 5 quotes from his personal writings. Seeing an author's short stories, scenes, and poems back to back helped me understand how form in addition to POV can be so revealing. Inhaled and made no notes on anything but The Whithered Arm bc i couldnt slow down.
