And they have their sights on one woman. Possessive and bold, these heroes give their conquests exactly what they crave—to be taken … to be owned. Kidnapping, abduction, and sexual slavery are just a few of the titillating taboo themes in this hand-picked anthology.

The story was about a mystery man late thirties or early forties and Holly, 21.
Holly and her friend, Rachel went to the club to have fun. She noticed a man watching her. He looked familiar to her.
Her father's an alcoholic and abusive man but she can't leave her sick mother.
The mystery man was there to save her. Twice. After her mother died, she tried to leave her father but her father won't let her leave. When he saved her from her father, she tried to ran away from them (her father and the mystery man). He didn't let her get away from him. He drugged her and kidnapped her. He took her to his home. At first, she can't remember who he was. She just remembered him after she woke up at his place and held her captive. But he didn't force himself to her. He waited her to give in.
He held her captive but she didn't feel she was trapped. She felt free with him. Their relationship wasn't conventional but it worked for them and they're both happy. There's also an epilogue.
I love this anthology of dark romances. For me, all six books / stories were really well-executed, sexy and exciting with vibrant characters. This was a fantastic collaboration of talents!
Actually, before one-clicking this book, I initially thought I may not be handle it if the subjects will really be dark and if there will be highly disturbing scenes, which I'm not really a big fan of. Or if these will be books that would require serious dark thinking because the plot twists are a total mindfuckery or extremely heavy to handle. BUT I'm so glad that these collection of dark reads are far from that.
The scenes were actually bearable, not really that violent nor disturbing, just more of action-packed and really hot. This book was an easy and relatively comfortable read, nothing emotionally or mentally disturbing. What was dark was only either that of the Hero's past , his current shady job (primarily as a kidnapper) , or present character because of a dark past or circumstance. But the sexy heroes in each of the books from this anthology were actually adorable in their own ways, especially that they were able to redeem themselves by their ability to love their heroines. These men with dark characters captured the women of their dreams, saved and protected them and bam, super explosive chemistry and scorching passion!! The best part is that all the couples in this book get to have their happily ever after.
I discovered some really talented new-to-me authors in this anthology and I truly enjoyed this book ! This winning collection is truly a keeper!
Every now and then you just need a little dark lovin' in your life and this Anthology was just what I was looking for. 6 stories by 6 talented authors combined in one book (well over 300 pages) to give you the thrill you were looking for.
This is a collection of dark stories, but more along the lines of rougher handling, dubious consent, and forced seduction than anything creepy or horror like. It was right up my alley and hit my mood just right.
I recommend this book to those who like the more taboo noncon type reads. The good thing about an anthology is you can read one or two take a break and read more....or you can devour the entire thing!
After I finished reading this story, I contacted the author and pretty much demanded her to rewrite this story to make it longer and with more detail as a full length novel and the first in a new series. That is how much I really liked this story. I feel there is more story to how Emily and Brody get together, fall in love and of course more to Brody's teammates. They are where the series can come in.
This review is for Take Me by Jenika Snow. This book is dark, if you aren't into dark romances this book isn't for you. I liked this one. It is hot, wish it was longer. One night at the bar has put Holly in a dangerous situation. A mystery man came to the rescue. Alex has been stalking Holly and he is determined to make her his. Will Alex finally get what he wants with Holly? Read the book!!!
I really enjoyed this book... once I start to read I could not put it down.. I loved all the stories in the book each author brought a different twist to a darker situation and I loved it.. it was neat to see how each author took a certain situation and twisted it and made it into a dark Romance or an erotic story .... and another thing that I really liked about this week it was none of the women no matter what they were never a victim a helpless damsel in distress... The women always had sass in them they had some kind of fight.. and all the men yes they are dark in their own ways but in a way that you're attracted to them no matter what... you find yourself almost agreeing with their thinking their motive , their ways... and for that to happen for me means this was just really great great writing on all the authors that took part in this book so again I really enjoyed this book..
A very dark but hot collection of stories by some of my favorite authors and some new favorites. This is not romantic and fluffy this is dark and questionable and dangerous. If you love the genre then I highly recommend this anthology.
This was short and fast paced. Holly wants to escape her life but her sick mother was holding her, now that she has nothing holding her anymore, she packs her things and just when she is to disappear, she is taken by one Mysterious man.

Who doesn't love a bit of darkness and danger with a love story, ramping up the sexiness? Six hot and heavy short stories to tantalise and tease. My favourite was Sinful by Lily Harlem. An illicit coupling with a naughty priest, oh Cheryl, lucky you, isn't that every dirty girls fantasy? But is everything with Father Steve as it first appears? Great anthology. Copy kindly provided by author for honest review.
I absolutely loved reading this anthology. All the stories were short and spellbinding. Dark reads but so very good.

So fast, so wrong yet so right
Holly is living an unhappy life; still at home, looking after her mother who is sick, and hating her father.
She goes out one night with her friends and gets into a situation where she is rescued by a very imposing man.
Later this same man plays a huge role in the direction of her life. Undertones of scary almost creepy throughout the story. Good and quick read.
