Part 1
I was given a free copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.
The first chapter was so sweet and tender between Ashton and Quinn. Then betrayal. They haven't seen each other in years. Not since Quinn disappeared that one night Ashton got what she always wanted. Him. So of course the best place for a reunion is at a business deal. They both have to face there past and Quinn needs to tell the truth no matter what.
All I kept thinking through this is WHY? Quinn come on just tell Ashton and me the truth of why you left. Quinns boss is such a clever and sneaky man :) He sets them up to talk and finally face the past. Then the cliffhanger dam it! What is going on? Quinn has explaining to to do and Ashton poor Ashton I feel so sorry for her heart right now. But she needs to face it and find the truth. Part 2 is going to be interesting.
Part 2
So Quinn comes back home to no sign of Ashton, thanks to Cassidy giving her the wrong idea. Ashton is thinks she been made a fool of and is heartbroken. So of course now is a good time to finish up the deal. I'm getting whiplash with these two. One minute they are moving forward then something messes it up. I feel for them both as I can see both sides to this. But I'm also getting frustrated with how they both handle things. SECRETS ruin everything. So is everything finally coming out and will Ashton accept the truth? I'm soo addicted to this and can't wait to read the last part.
Part 3
OMG!!!!!!
Colleen went all out for this last part of the story. All secrets are out at last. An accident that takes a life and difficulty in another's life. Happiness and heartache in this book. I don't want to say too much and spoil the ending to the awesome series. All I'm going to say is I had tears of happiness and sadness in my eyes through most of this book. I loved it!! Was so hooked on what was going to happen. These two have been through so much and this definately tests them more.

What a beautiful story! Ashton has been in love with her brothers best friend for years and when he takes her virginity and leaves without a word she is heartbroken. Quinn has always been attracted to Ashton and after making love with her and going downstairs to get a drink her brother and his best friend Quinn kicks him out because he heard everything on the baby monitor. Right after that he gets pulled over and is arrested for pot that wasn't his and his parents send him to live with his nana for the summer. Flash forward ten years and when Ashton goes to close the deal guess who the lawyer is Quinn, she keeps her cool but just barely. When they finally get a chance to talk all kinds of things are revealed which really gets you going.

Wonderful second chance love story
This was a sweet book about a second chance at love between Ashton, who had been in love with her big brother's best friend, Quinn, sine they were kids. The feelings were mutual, but after one fateful night together in high school where they shared their love, they didn't see each other again for ten years.
Would they feel the same after so much time? Would Ashton forgive Quinn for leaving? Would the truth about that night make a difference? So many questions answered and a their lives moving forward make for a beautiful book. Of course it wasn't without its ups and downs, but a beautiful HEA in the end!

I purchased a copy of Wasted Love in the novel Hook: Alpha Billionaire Romance book 2 aka Reel Love book two and the bonus book Wasted Love by Colleen Charles and this review was given freely.
An easy flowing,entertaining but poignant steamy brother's best friend romance. After being separated by a protective brother, Quinn and Ashton meet again 10 years later over a high powered real estate where attraction leads to a steamy reunion which is complicated by misunderstandings,the boss's daughter, and a life changing accident.

This is a very emotional brother's bestfriend/second chance romance. Ashton and Quinn succumbed to the temptation and emotions they had for each other and had one night together before fate with a heavy helping hand from revenge forces them apart. Deep emotions, pain, betrayal, drama, and a lot of angst offer plenty of stumbling blocks on their road to a HEA. Very entertaining and enjoyable. I'm posting a voluntary, honest review after reading this book.

After being abandoned by the guy who took her virginity, just minutes after losing it, Ashton never really recovers from the betrayal. Chase, the virginity stealer, had a really, really good reason for disappearing. It takes 10 years for them to finally reconnect. What follows and a terrific story about adult love and LIFE. Stuff happens in life and this books shows how love can prevail.

The story was okay, but all The spelling mistankes and wrong names ruined The book for me. And The bonus was awful. The only moment that The boss actually asks what The leading lady wants is Wien he gets her on The sack. She keeps saying no but because he is a billionaire Then he Thinks that he Can just take what he wants.

Another good read by Colleen. I am starting to really enjoy reading her books. Once I started, I couldn't stop till I finished. Quinn and Ashton are super cute. Their story is sooooo good, I wish there was more!! Loved it!!

A light read without too much drama. I liked that the hero knew what he wanted and made it happen. I read this book as HOT WATER. It must have been re-released under this new title.

In this book, the author tells the story of young love, separated by misunderstandings, too much distance, and time. Of course they had followed each other’s careers but had not spoken to each other. There is bitterness, blame, and the bandaid of broken promises to be ripped off before these two can find love again. But, the love really never left their hearts, it was there all along. So the two drop their pride and find out that the really are happily ever afters for hearts that beat with true love. Colleen, you’ve written another beautiful book!

This was a nice easy read. There were quite a few characters nicely woven around the central two of Quinn and Ashton. I have to be honest and say that I found Ashton annoying and unreasonable in a couple of situations before she switched back to being sensible and reasonable. Quinn was just lovely throughout.

Wasted Love Boxed Set: Second Chance Romance Parts 1-3 is a three part anthology that tells the story of Ashton and Quinn from the time they were teenagers that made mistakes to ten years later when they took a second chance with each other. It is a sweet, sexy love story about two wonderful people that never stopped loving each other. The wonderful ending made it a very special tribute to the values of family traditions.

I really enjoyed this story and seeing into Ashton and Quinn's love and life. They both had amazing challenges and overcame tragedies to make their love work. This is a great story that needs to be read.
I gave only four stars because there needed to be some better proof reading. This did not read like a finished published book there were lots of mistakes that caused me to have to re read a line. This is a five star book apart from the errors.

A good second chance at love story. Love how its all in one boxset rather than separate reads. I couldn't get though how easy to forgive Quinn was to Griffin after all that he took from him. Especially how the story was laid before they met again. I do like how the romance between Quinn and Ashton was told from start to the break to rekindled love to future.

No amount of heartache, time, distance or pain can alter true love. Lies and deceit tear them apart but ten years later their love is still there. I have read this twice and I love that it is a story of second chances with a twist. I also feel it is important to point out that this was a teenage love that survived it all!

WARNING!!!
If you are a Destin, FL native or grew up there do not read this book expecting even a small resemblance of our hometown! It is clearly written from a tourist perspective of what our local lives must be like. That being said, if you ignore all the Destin talk, the book is ok.

Good read! Ashton has been in love with Quinn for as long as she could remember. After one night of giving into temptation, Quinn leaves Ashton in bed without so much as a goodbye. Ten years later they're reunited. Will Quinn be able to explain what happened the night they were together? Will Ashton be able to forgive him? Definitely a must read.
