Um, what happened to a complete story? Am I missing part of the book or something? Not to be ugly or anything but Mrs lakes u may want to go back and read the story.

I enjoyed this first book and was looking forward to this one. It started off really great and then it seemed once he found out who and where she worked everything started to go down hill.

Kat helped with reneas wedding and supposedly BFF but renea was never in the story but maybe twice.

Whatever happened to the whole Partner scandal?

Whatever happened to meeting the parents? Kat made it such a huge deal (in her mind) that they hadn't met each other parents before a "conflict" happened.

He hasn't even told her I Love You but he had bought a ring for her?

They go from caring what people would think to just nothing. And it wasn't even addressed. It was like the mood of the story change without letting us readers know.

The last conversation kat had with her coworkers was on the phone while she was recovering from dehydration. And her boss was wondering who "the girl" was. Never had another convo with them about this. Guess they never found out about kat.

Now they are what married and have a child

I am sorry but to much and at the same time to little happened with no completion. Needs a major redo!

Do not recommend.

Krista Lakes is one of my favorite authors but this story didn't do it for me. For one, it needed copy editing. Kat was talking about how she had only one younger sister then said she loves to go home to see her brother. Also, I felt like a point was repeated over and over to get a point across. While she story was a cute idea, I felt like I was rushing through to get it over with. That's not something I normally do with her stories. There were also holes left in the story. What happened when they announced their relationship? How did her friend act after being lied to? What happened with the law suits? It was like the story built up to the climax then just wrapped it up without knowing the resolution.

Sweet story, but it's a bit uneventful. It needed an editor for all the inconsistencies. For instance, was her last name Ryder or Riley?

Plus, I hated her best friend, Renee, who really wasn't that good of a friend honestly. In fact, all of their interpersonal relationships outside of each other were rather lacking.

Kat and AJ's relationship was a bit rushed as well. Although it's not quite insta-love, they really didn't have time to develop anything.

I also really hate it when novels end with unanswered questions, and this one has a lot of them. The important ones are answered at least.

Baby brain is a real thing, guys.

Seriously, writing this while I was pregnant was rough. I knew the story and I could see the characters in my head- but I could not seem to get it on paper. I'd sit down and stare at a screen for hours- or the words would be so choppy and disorganized that I'd have to redo it all anyway.

But, the story came through! It just took me a little longer than I wanted (and the majority of it was written one the baby was on my lap rather than in it!)

I hope you all enjoy the love story of AJ and Kat. I loved writing it (once I could write)

It's been a long time since I have read a story that captured my mind so much that I woke up in the morning recalling the words on the pages I read the day before. Well Yours Truly most certainly falls into that category. From the inception of their tale I fell in love with AJ and Kat. The gentleness of their undeniable connection grasped ahold of my heart and hung on tight right through to the very end.

Kat has always been a good and caring person focused on the needs of others to ensure everyone around her has what they need. But when she is told she is too much of a good girl, Kat decides for once in her life she is going to take a walk on the wild side even if it is only for one night. When she catches the attention of a guest at her best friend’s wedding, she is immediately transfixed by his gorgeous blue eyes, and Kat finally decides this is the time to let herself go. AJ spends his days dealing with the legal problems his former business partner has left him with. Hoping to bolster some goodwill he decides to attend the wedding of one of his employees where he unexpectedly meets Kat. AJ likewise is instantly captivated by her as she is the most intriguing woman he has ever met.

After spending a life-altering night together, both Kat and AJ realize one night is never going to be enough. But when she receives an early morning call and has to leave for an urgent matter at work, AJ wakes up to an empty bed, a partially legible note and the one shoe Kat left behind. After the passage of two weeks without any contact, Kat is left wondering if the night they shared affected him as much as it did her. But as she fills her days focusing on the meeting with her boss which could change her professional life, Kat is left speechless when she enters his office only to discover her boss is AJ. But because of the scandalous situation his company was now in, AJ and Kat are left to figure out whether the relationship between boss and employee will harm the business even more, or whether the bond they share will enable them to overcome anything as long as they do it together.

I have read many romance novels where the couple shared a deep connection and there almost always comes a point in the story where some sort of discord occurs in their relationship until they finally attain their happily ever after. But despite AJ's legal difficulties with his business and Kat's worries as well, there was never any volatility or explosion of temper between them. It was as if they were created for each other and once their hearts found its match, nothing could shatter or pull them apart. The intense passion they experience from the first night they spend together keeps their souls intertwined. Krista Lakes has written another wonderfully sweet and beautiful love story. Yours Truly will transport your heart to the stars.

This is a beautiful Cinderella like modern day love story that features villains and the hero and heroine. There is Kat who is the modern day Cinderella who met her Prince(AJ) at a wedding, they ended up sleeping together and she slipped away but she left behind her shoe by accident because it was lost. She did leave a note behind for AJ but it was lost, and he never got it. The next time they meet is a two weeks later when she shows up to work and there is the boss and it is AJ and he is quite the alpha male and in Kat’s face.. Kat doesn’t know what to think and AJ is so glad to see her after all this time. The attraction and chemistry is stronger than ever. They sizzle in each other’s presence; I loved how they brought out the best in each other – now Kat’s ex step sisters needed to be brought down a peg and we hear about this lawsuit that AJ is involved in so that is brought up a few times in this story.
This is a story that focuses on true love and overcoming obstacles. I loved the passion and the heat in this story brings this sweet story the added heat needed. The only negative is I would have liked to know more about the lawsuit that AJ is involved in. Other than that, get ready for the twists and turns this story will take for it will lead you on an awesome summer love story ride.

I received this as a ARC for my honest review. I thought the story was very cute version of Cinderella. I loved the fact that she has a big foot! I have a big foot myself so I honestly did get a smile out of that. The story switches POV between the two main characters and I truly enjoy that in books so that was a plus. One of the reasons I didn't give this book 5 stars was because I didn't feel a deep connection between the two towards the middle of the book. Now don't get me wrong they had great chemistry and that deep connection you love to read about in the beginning and the very end but the middle just kinda felt like they were rushing the story a tad. Another thing that kinda threw me off was the book sometimes referred to Kat Ryder as Ms. Riley. Now that isn't a big deal at all I honestly ignored it after the second time it happened and it could be my copy since it is a ARC. I really enjoyed the last chapter but wished it would have switched to AJ's POV for at least some of it. And man if I was Kat I would have smacked or disowned her "friend" Renee. She wasn't in the story very much but I just didn't enjoy her at all! There's always that one person in a book or tv show you just don't like and she was it for me.

I love this book! I'm a huge fan of fairytale and this one was right up my alley. Cinderella was always my favorite.. This one is a different take on it but it still has this feel good aspect about it. It's super sweet mixed with some funny moments as well. I love Kat. She's so serious, responsible and even predicable. She decides one night not to be and it changed her life so much! It's amazing how much can change so much in her life. At is trying to save his company and employees. He attended a wedding and never expected to meet his love. These two together are incredible! They have smokin hot chemistry and true respect for each other. AJ is very overprotective with Kat. He wants to make sure she is taken care of. There's even a bit of surprise in this and both characters step up perfectly! I so so loved this book!!! I'd recommend this book!

I was reading it and eventhough I did not understood a couple of things: she goes to a friend's weeding, she is not a bridesmaid but was responsible to bring stuff to the bride and they do not see each other at the party; she works in a company and does not know how the CEO looks and she has a meeting scheduled with him; and they talk about family and they do not appear. But what really bothers me is that I feel there is a missing chapter. It feels like the resolution towards the public situation, that not only affects the main couple, was not addressed and the end was rushed. I have read better books from this author and I was disappointed with this one.

Loved the principle, found little to appreciate in the execution. Predictable romance that could have been told more as a spoof. Lacks (effective) development of both main characters and especially antagonist. Inconsistencies are annoying - characters' names are randomly spelled differently. This could've used another pass (or two) through the editors' eyes. Writer seems to lack the focus for this one.

This series is a fast-paced series of books, with impossibly quick instant-love stories. I found them to be mediocre. I get it, they are suppose to be perfect "Cinderella" stories but holy wow with the speed of love these people fall into. At least in this book (2), the characters date for more than a week.

I gave this book 3 stars because it's story was fun and sort of close to something that I guess could...maybe...might happen. What I could not tolerate is how often the billionaires refer to themselves as billionaires. It's forced down our throats in books 1 & 2, not so much in 3...but that's another review entirely. I mean, we GET IT; they are billionaires. It's literally part of the series titles. We are told at the beginning & every chapter over and over again. We aren't going to forget, as that's part of the whole reason we are reading this series. But hey, billionaires.

In "Yours Truly," good girl Kat is attending (and essentially running) her co-worker/best friend's wedding. She strikes out with her attempt at flirting and her BFF informs her that it's because Kat's straight laced girl, and that's not what men are looking for. Kat instantly decided to become bad girl Kat. She proceeds to drink drink drink until she winds up in a suite with a man - her first one night stand. Bad Kat has emerged. She's over the moon about getting to know loverboy AJ, but instead she receives a call very early in the AM from her supervisor at work. Apparently, the head honcho company owner has had to cancel a bunch of meetings, having to rearrange all the other future meetings, and the day she is suppose to propose her new project - that might just help save the company that's embroiled in a sexual lawsuit - has been bumped up. Instead of having a month to get it all prepared, she has 2 weeks and needs to get her ass in the office now! She hastily leaves a note explaining her abrupt departure & her number encouraging him to call her soon.

Kat is devastated when she never hears back from AJ, but since her BFF has been on honeymoon for one of the two weeks they have left to prep their presentation, Kat has thrown herself into work.

AJ has never been in love, and doesn't particularly want to be in love. When he met Kat at one of his employees wedding, he practically falls head over heels for her. Even as he falls asleep next to her, he's already planning how they will spend the next day together. To his utter dismay, when he is awoken in the morning, he finds himself alone. His assistant has thrown away the note - not knowing AJ would actually want to keep this one, since he usually doesn't want to see any of the random women he hooks up ever again. He's in misery, and so is his assistant as he is sent on a wild goose chase to find the note. AJ even hires and investigative team to find Kat, but even after the destroyed note is found, it's contents are worthless.

When Kat and AJ find each other again, the situation is extremely complicated and likely impossible. OR IS IT?!?!

Book needed better editing as others stated. Names constantly got changed. Story seems to be missing parts? Like what happened with the lawsuit that the story seems based on? Nothing is said about it at the end. No other family, supposedly she's by herself and he has two younger brothers. But we don't meet them at all. Just her one so called friend? The story seemed like it was rushed and not completely thought thru? Thankfully it was short. He's a ceo of company she works at. They meet at her friend's wedding. Then have sex in his hotel suite. She leaves a note that gets thrown out, but then is miraculously found again? But only part of it is readable. Then she gives a pitch for her big project at work, unbeknownst to each other that he's her boss. They're excited to see each other again. But with the huge scandal that got forgotten about by the author. They have to be careful and sneak around (kind of) she winds up really sick one week. Finds out she's pregnant, doesn't want to tell him to feel like a gold digger or add more stress in his life. She passes out while he's at her place. He rushed her to hospital and he finds out she's pregnant, but he's happy about it. Proposed in her hospital room. But she wants to wait(for whatever reason) till after it's born. Then she gets married right as she goes into labor. They have a boy and then the story kind of just stops. Definitely not worth reading again. If this is how the author writes, being my first book from her. I wasn't impressed. I almost didn't finish it. I doubt I'd read her other books in the series.

Am and Kat are a cute quick hook up from the wedding of her friend. They didn't know much about each other, but liked each other right away. The lost each other til the day they had a meeting together- oops your my boss and I'm your employee. With a sex scandal ex partner Aj was dealing with and limiting scandal about his and Kats relationship it got complicated quick. They don't have much time to develop their relationship but like what they see.

Then she finds out she's pregnant, things move fast in the book from there on.

I like the ending but him finding out she was pregnant and them having the baby doesn't reveal enough. What did their families think? What happened to the company? What did her co-workers a& Renee think? The final bit was too rushed, it needed more content. Especially compared to the first part of the book.

Otherwise it was a cute story, about her finding her worth and that she was worthy of him, and him finding his light in the darkness.

AJ is a powerful CEO who has been given a horrible deck of cards as of late. His ex-partner has brought some very ugly issues to the table and they have, unfortunately, fell in AJ's lap and has left him to pick the pieces up. He goes to an employee's wedding to show his support and to, hopefully, bring some of the negativity to rest that is pinned on his company he has built from the ground up. He never expected to meet someone he would like.
Kat is a very dependable hard working woman who is trying to build something big with her company she works for. She has seen a potential opportunity has been solely focusing on it but goes to her friend's wedding to have some fun. This is where AJ and Kat meet. This is also where the story takes off. You need to read to find out what happens between the two of them. It is a modern day retelling of Cinderella. Who doesn't like a fair tale love affair and story.

Kat and AJ

This is a twist on Cinderella. It has very little drama .
It starts with Kat helping a friend before her wedding personally I didn’t like her friend.
Kat is a good friend who does more than she should. After being turned away and brutally told truth from so called friend she takes a chance on wild side with a sexy stranger .
AJ makes a chalice to let loose a little and go to Ana employees wedding . To let go stress of the sex scandal his ex parter did.
When he meets attractive flirty fun Kat. As he gets to know her in the short time and passionate night he clears his schedule to a-end more time but in morning all that left is half a note.
The two meet again with twist of him being the ceo of the place she works at.
Now these two will have to figure out how to make it work .
This is good story with a few errors , but well written sweet passionate and has a HEA.

Krista Lakes has done it again! I just finished Yours Truly: A Cinderella Love Story, the second book in Billionaires and Bride Series. This is Ms. Lakes latest release. I have been a fan of Ms. Lakes books for more than a year and I have yet to read any of her book s that I have not absolutely LOVED!!
Ms. Lakes really knows how to make her characters totally lovable. In this case we have Kat (Ekaterina) Ryder. She is done being the good girl. The straight laced person that everyone counts on to get them out of a bind. While attending her friend’s wedding she meets AJ, a really hot man. Kat decides to become “Fun Kat”. She and AJ leave the wedding just to talk and become better acquainted. One thing leads to another, and Kat has the best night of her life. The next morning before AJ wakes, her boss calls her into the office for an emergency. She leaves AJ a note telling him what a great time she had, and to call her, then leaves the hotel.
Andrew Jacobson is the CEO of Shoesy, Inc., a company that is going thru a Major sex scandal thanks to his ex-partner Paul. Andrew has been going thru hell because of Paul. The company is being sued, and Andrew does not blame the women that were involved, he blames Paul. However, Andrew is taking all the flack, between the shareholders, the lawyers and the press, he has not had a moments peace. Andrew decides to take a break from his problems and goes to his employees wedding, where he sees this incredible looking woman. After a night of intense passion, Andrew finds the hotel room empty, all that is found to identify Kat is part of the note that was left. Andrew has searched for Kat everywhere with no luck. Ok, time to buckle down for his next meeting with E. Ryder. He is getting excited about this meeting.
After two weeks Kat has begun to lose hope that AJ will ever call. She has to buckle down and focus on the proposal she has to make to the BIG boss at Shoesy, Inc., Andrew Jacobson. She walks into Andrew’s office. It’s her, it is his Kat.
The major problem, Kat works for and since the scandal caused by Paul, they both know that this could blow up in their faces. Find out why AJ never called….hmmm. You see the note was….. Stop, no spoilers.
You REALLY need to read this splendid book to find out how they work this out.
Thank you for reading my review. Now, you need to give that index finger some exercise One-Clicking this book.

I hate giving this rating but for me, I truly feel it is accurate. First, I actually enjoyed the story. This is a modern day re-telling of Cinderella and I love fairy tales. Part of loving fairy tales is the willingness to suspend belief. I willingly do this to enjoy a story. However, a few things are hard to suspend belief in. Let me explain. AJ and Kat meet and hookup at a wedding. AJ is Kat's boss, even though they have never met. This is not unusual, however the company is a national shoe company so I have to ask how do you work for a national company and not know what the owner looks like even though you have never met. Kat has to leave the morning after before AJ wakes up. She leaves a note for him (which subsequently is partially destroyed and AJ can't find Kat with the leftover note) and she also leaves behind a shoe (a Loubatin). (This is the proverbial glass slipper). Now, I am not a shoe person, but I do know Loubatins are well known, sought after, expensive shoes. How do you leave behind a Loubatin and how do you not find the second shoe when you find the first apparently because we only hear about one shoe AJ found? AJ and Kat meet 2 weeks later when Kat makes a work presentation to AJ. Of course, they hook up again. Now, in the middle of all of this, AJ is dealing with his partner's sex scandal with employees. Obviously, AJ and Kat decide to keep their relationship quiet because AJ needs to get past this scandal and save his company. Kat finds out she is pregnant and decides she is going to tell AJ (albeit, later than she should have). Before she can tell him, she faints and AJ rushes her to the hospital. Once he finds out about the pregancy, the happily ever after happens!! What??!! Where is the resolution to the company scandal? I don't know where it went. This is my big problem--it does not get resolved in this story. The scandal that has occupied AJ's thoughts and decision making just disappears from the page. This disappointed me and is the reason for the rating.

The author's writing style was fine and I liked the characters. My rating is almost exclusively because of the lack of resolution for the subplot (that I felt was interesting). I have heard good things about this author's books and would consider trying another one in the future.

He goes to an employee's wedding to show his support and to, hopefully, bring some of the negativity to rest that is pinned on his company he has built from the ground up. He never expected to what the wedding would bring.........

Kat is a very dependable hard working woman who is trying to build something big with her company she works for. She has seen a potential opportunity has been solely focusing on it but goes to her friend's wedding to "let loose" and "have fun." She never expected what came next...

At the wedding Kat is discouraged until she lays on "him." His mesmerizing eyes and the command he holds in his stance has her completely off balance......... It all started with the wedding.....

AJ and Kat get thrown many many challenges in this book but you will see that no matter what nothing will stop them from getting what they want. Krista gives us an insight of what it is truly like to live in the light of a huge mess within a work place that effects everyone that works within the company. One person's wrong decisions leaves a CEO gasping at straws to pick the pieces of his life back up as well as his business. Other obstacles get thrown at AJ and Kat and it truly shows their love and determination to seek through it all.

Yours Truly was such a lighthearted, sweet, sexy, and fun read. Krista's contemporary writing style exceeds beyond anything I have seen with this genre of a romance. She always gives us stories that leave remembering everything about the story. She brings AJ and Kat's character out with poignancy, honesty, fun, sexiness, dedication, and responsibility from the very beginning. What some stories lack in context with other Authors, Krista brings it in this latest love story.

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

•Responsible vs Fun
I will tell you that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this story too! You're AWESOME! I laughed, chuckled and just plain enjoyed how it flowed. I'm glad I was reading this passage when hubby was awake, I busted out laughing so hard when I read this passage...... That flower was getting old and she was about ready to take some pruning shears to the damn thing.
This novel is the second in Krista Lakes' series Billionaires and Brides and, comes with three bonus novels; Sandcastle Kisses, Hurricane Kisses, and Barefoot Kisses
Responsible Kat takes care of everyone and everything around her. Kat doesn't think anything's wrong with it, until during her friend Renee's wedding, Renee tells her she's a great friend, but she's a good-girl, a goody-two-shoes and not what a guy wants to hook up with for a weekend fling. Kat tells her friend she can be fun, she's going to show her tonight at Renee's wedding! Renee says “I’ll believe it when I see it.” She meets AJ while she's Fun Kat, and decides she wants a one night stand. But leaves him a note when she's called into work the next morning. Will he call her for more fun?
AJ's a billionaire, despite some stressful issues going on with his company he needs a break. He meets KAT when he goes to one of his employee's wedding's, Kat doesn't know who he is. They seem to connect and he actually relaxes, they have an intensely passionate night together. He wants to spend more time with her the next day, but wakes to an empty bed. AJ has to find her, but even with his resources, he doesn't know how. Kat left one of her shoes in her rush to leave, and there's a problem with the note she left. What is he going to do now?
This was a passionate Cinderella story, with lots of surprises! It is a HEA! I enjoy Krista's re-telling of the childhood faerie tells I read growing up... These are just the adult version! I give it 5 stars! Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older.
**FAVORITE PASSAGE: “I will always be there to rescue you.”*

This was a passionate Cinderella story, with lots of surprises! It is a HEA! I enjoy Krista's re-telling of the childhood faerie tells I read growing up... These are just the adult version! I give it 5 stars!
