The crime wasn’t in what Trevor Grant had done. It lay in what was done to him. Now, years after he lost his family, he faces life in prison for his part in removing the guilty. In Hannah Parker’s mind, she has two strikes against her: she has too much money and too many brains. In her experience where one of these might blacklist you, the two together was a life sentence. When the chance comes to see the boys on trial, their cause becomes her cause. With the silent resources behind her, she will work the system, securing the release of the men she believes innocent of conscience, if not the crime. Strangers coming from different backgrounds, Trevor with Gavin, will join Hannah. She will become part of their everyday living—holding Trevor close—even as they keep an escape plan in place in case anyone ever looks twice and asks “do you live around here?”

This is a story that pulled me in from page one and kept me turning the pages I am sure that there are many people in this world that are locked up that perhaps shouldn't be and to see a lady in shinning armour arrive to rescue these two worthy heroes was a joy to read. I highly recommend this story for something good and a little different.
Illegal Exit by Jacqui Jacoby I am never disappointed by a book by Jacqui Jacoby. They are interesting, suspenseful and the kind you can’t put down. This story is about Hannah Parker who attended the trial of Trevor Grant. The crime was not so much what Trevor did but what was done to him. He lost his entire family now and faces life in prison. Gavin is Trevon’s cousin and they had not seen each other in a long time. Hannah has the money and the brains and knows how to do things. So secured the release of both men she actually believed were innocent. Between the three they went together living the everyday life. The boys tinkered on cars in garage and Hannah was able to supply them with the car, tools and parts. They had a way to escape if they ever got too close to being found out about. Since I love shows like Cops and the stories about criminals this was right up my alley. There is even real closeness between Trevor and Hannah. Hoping you enjoy this as much as I did. This shows that some that are locked up really should never be. Hoping you enjoy this as much as I did.
Just started reading this. I find myself looking for time to get back to it.
Illegal Exit by Jacqui Jacoby is a romance with a twist. Hannah, a brilliant protagonist who would like to be “as stupid as Einstein,” and Trevor, a convicted murderer, come by their love in unique way. Injustice bothers many people. Hannah is no different. It’s just that she tries to correct one particular instance. And in so doing, she finally learns how to love and be loved. This story, in parts, can be likened to a gritty police procedural—complete with some details I skimmed. Yet it shows the love of family and what can happen in its absence. It is a unique love story that brings in the question of true justice and offers a healing of past hurts.
Trevor and Gavin have had a tough break. They were found guilty and sent to prison for a crime but one that they committed for the right reasons. It just went wrong and they were given a term with no possibility of parole. Thinking they had no way out they hadn't even figured on someone like Hannah determined to help them. She is a truly intelligent girl with real computer savvy and the money to back up her plans. She uses all she has to help them even bribing the guards which isn't hard with all the money and she will not give them the opportunity to back out. This story takes you on an interesting journey where even Trevor and Gavin have no idea what is going on all they know is they are loaded in a van . Ms. Jacoby takes you in this ride and you will enjoy it from the beginning and cheer for them at the end. Of course its warmed up by the feelings Trevor gets for Hannah. A book that you will truly enjoy .
An interesting take on finding a cause and acting on it!
Trevor and Gavin were cousins, living a hardworking life to support their loving families ... and in an instant, it was gone. Their reactions lead to getting caught up in a life they never planned to lead, and an end to their future ... Until they met Hannah one night and their world changed in the blink of an eye.
Learning to live a new way is hard, but with Hannah by their side, it's doable ... but remembering to watch their back and cover their tracks gets old, and when they get lazy, the past will catch up with them.
Illegal Exit by Jacqui Jacoby is a unique and interesting story with a cast of flawed characters. Ms. Jacoby takes readers on a spin when she creates suspense and drama to keep the reader engaged. Trevor and Gavin are cousins who live with extended family. They both work hard working and supportive individuals. Then one night their world turns upside down. They lose everything. Wrongfully accused of murder is one thing. Going to jail for it when innocent is another. What happens next is the crux of this book’s edginess.
"Illegal Exit" by Jacqui Jacoby starts off with two cousins, Trevor and Gavin, who are on trial and found guilty. Go straight to jail without the possibility of parole. In comes Hannah Parker, smart & rich, who doesn't believe that they are guilty. She is kind of a loner but knows that something just isn't right. Hannah and Trevor become involved in proving his innocence and the innocence of his cousin. Erotic, suspenseful romantic thriller.
