Insecurity is based on doubt. It asks deep questions like “Do I matter? Am I important? Am I loved?” It also asks shallower questions like, “Do I suit this skirt? Can I get away with this haircut?”
Whoever you are and whatever you do, you will have times when you feel insecure.
This book offers practical, simple ways to apply biblical truth when insecurity strikes.
“Ems will draw you in, because she’s funny … then she’ll smack you hard with some deep wisdom that means you’ll never be the same again. You will seriously love this book.” Andy Smith, Creative Arts Team Leader, Ivy Churches
“When I read In Security it felt like Ems had personally written a book just for me! In so many ways it has inspired me to be who God intended. Her beautiful thoughts and insights have shone light into an area that has surreptitiously flavoured so much of my life. Reading this book feels like you’re having a cuppa and a good old chat with a wise funny friend.” Gemma Hunt, TV Presenter and Alpha film host
While I did very much enjoy the author’s writing style/tone which felt so personable & welcoming, the writing structure itself wasn’t my favorite because at times it felt disorganized: I couldn’t keep up with all the titles and subtitles
During some chapters I felt like I was reading a bunch of quotes thrown together without any cohesion from one chunk of ideas to the next
Some chapters were okay but then there were others that were fantastic and personally very transformative
I especially enjoy the end when the author shares the story of how this book came together
I found this book on the bedside table when going on a retreat. It's fantastic, full of good advice, important scriptures and honest testimony. I've already thought of a few people for whom I'd like to buy this book.
