What´s the difference between this textbook and many other books about speed reading of western origin?
This book is made according to its author David Gruber´s popular courses which were invented and developed independently on traditional trainings of American, British, and other western style. Having lived beyond the Iron Curtain, David Gruber hadn´t any possibility to attend any speedreading training or to stay in personal contact with his western colleagues.
Paradoxically, after 1989 it came out that his original method has many advantages. The popularity of his trainings brought on the situation that in the Czech Republic no other foreign speedreading lecturer hasnt´t taken hold, although there is free market competition there over a quarter of the century.
Of course, David Gruber was inspired by western book sources what is expressed with respect at the end of his book. Some books were available in his country, even if with big difficulties.
Since 1983, David Gruber has carried out more than five hundred enriched rational reading courses; after 2000 also in English language. Nowadays, he has several licensed lecturers teaching by his methods, on the first place his son Jan Gruber, Ph.D. These trainings usually last three or four days and have many positive side effects for foreign languages studying, dealing daily dose of e-mails, communication skills, and other soft skills.

Anyway, it´s worth comparing or worth uniquely training for everybody interested in personal development.
