In New York Times bestselling author Stephanie Rowe's newest novel, a woman who has forfeited her dreams for a family finds love and hope in the arms of a rebellious cowboy.
After inexplicably abandoning a championship bull riding career, Zane Stockton has become a vagabond. He lives on his motorcycle, using the open road to shield himself from the dark shadows which haunt him. He has no interest in changing, until he meets a bold, spunky woman whose hidden vulnerability awakens the protector buried inside him.
Taylor Shaw's life of boardrooms and airports is her escape from her failures as a woman. When she pauses in Rogue Valley to help her best friend with her new baby, she feels wildly out of place in this rugged land of horses, endless skies, and one dangerously sensual cowboy.
When the heat explodes between Taylor and Zane, they have no chance to resist the attraction between them, a fiery combustion that ruthlessly drags them from their safe worlds into the unknown realm of vulnerability, passion, and…love?

A life-long reader, she began crafting stories at age ten, but didn't realize it was her dream until she was an adult.
Once the light dawned, she immediately left behind "work" as the world defines it and went to "work" as she defines it, which means getting up every morning with a smile in her heart so she can spend the day doing that which makes her spirit sing.
Stephanie believes in learning to listen to your heart in order to figure out what your dreams are, and then opening yourself to the inspiration that will direct you there. She believes we all deserve the right to enjoy life, and for the ride to be as easy as we want it to be, and that we all should accept nothing less than making our dreams come true.
Stephanie lives in New England, and spends every day doing her best to fill it with people, observations and activities that uplift her soul, which include writing, tennis, dancing, friends, and her amazing family.
This is a great, heartwarming series about the Stockton boy's. Their childhood was filled with abuse and neglect. Now as adults they are having to learn to trust people. And that is something they swore never to do. This is Zane's story. Zane has never slept in the same bed twice since he was fifteen. First it was bull riding and now it's living each day on his Harley, never staying in one place for too long. He loves his freedom. His oldest brother Chase calls him home to help on the ranch until his wife, Mira has the baby. Zane agrees, but can't wait to get back on his bike. Taylor is Mira's best friend and she has agreed to come help with the upcoming wedding and new baby. Zane and Taylor have to share the bunkhouse during this time. Both have been scarred by their pasts. They learn that they both are running from their pasts and lean on one another if only for the short time they're together. Can they separate when the time comes, or can they find a way to make thing's work? This story breaks your heart as you feel the heartache that these two people have had to endure. I found myself secretly coming up with scenarios to keep these two together. But fate has its own way of working things out. Fantastic story of hope, new beginnings and family.
A Real Cowboy Rides a Motorcycle by Stephanie Rowe
Self sacrifice. Letting love go because they deserve the best. A tear jerker in the best way until the happily ever after. A highly emotional contemporary romance that I loved from beginning to end.
Taylor Shaw is alone now that her best friend is getting married. She'll visit for a couple of weeks until the wedding then go back to her corporate job. She's fine alone. Really. Zane Stockton hasn't spent more than one night in the same bed since the age of fifteen. No ties to anyone. No committing to people. That's his way of life. Taylor and Zane end up in the same bunkhouse on the family ranch and connect emotionally. Maybe they aren't alone. At least for this week
"But it was her face that caught his attention. Her gaze was wary, but there was a vulnerability in it that made him want to protect her. He had zero protective instincts when it came to women ....until now, until he'd met this woman who tried to protect herself with a pillow. Then her gaze slid down his body, and his entire body went into heated overdrive. It wasn't until her eyes widened in surprise when her gaze was at hip level that he remembered something very important. He was naked." Excerpt from A Real Cowboy Rides a Motorcycle by Stephanie Rowe
This series has been full of emotions. The Stockton brothers had such crappy childhoods that it left big scars on their souls and none thought they were worthy of love. Its taken women who are just as broken as they are to heal their hearts and the journey is all the sweeter as each couple has helped the other heal on their way to finding that lasting love.
Who doesnt like a bad boy on a Harley. From the moment we met Zane Stockton in the first book he had me intrigued and looking forward to his story. He and Taylor were just perfect for each other. Two people so in need of love and affection but yet scared to death of it at the same time.
Though we only got 3 of the Stockton brothers stories in this trilogy there are many more of them out there and I hope the author plans to continue the series.
Sometimes you find love when you least expect it. Taylor and Zane are just trying to get by after some major disappointments. Taylor protects herself by focusing on work and running if a relationship starts getting serious. Zane has left his career as a bull rider and wants nothing to do with women. It is going to take a lot for these two people to get thru the hurt and embrace the love.
Taylor takes some time off from her demanding job to help her pregnant best friend get ready for her marriage and the baby. Zane is also there to help his brother with the ranch when the baby comes. Their first meeting is really fun and you know they are headed for a great romance once they can sort thru the issues that cause them to reject the thought of love and marriage.
They have one of the best first meetings and nights together I have read. I really enjoyed that scene. The connection is amazing. It is what I like best about Stephanie Rowe's books. She creates characters that resonate with the reader. She slowly reveals the demons that drive them. Most of them have been hurt in love and by people they trusted and they are wary of opening themselves up to more pain. It takes work and she is not shy about showing the process and how messy it can be. It makes the relationships feel that much more real. You hear both of their thoughts and have a greater understanding of why they make the choices they do even when they are so heartbreaking.
I really connected with Taylor and her fear of all the changes in her life with her best friend getting married. She was the only one that Taylor let in and the physical distance between them has been hard for her. She wants things to be the same between them but they are not. She is thrilled her friend has found someone great but at a loss as to what to do. Her job is stressful and leaves her unfulfilled and she is now working for her ex which makes it even worse. Learning about her past and how she was let down so many times made me really sad for her and I wanted her to take a chance with Zane.
Zane, like his brothers, had a very tough childhood with a lot of abuse and neglect. He escaped thru bull riding and found that it did not bring him the happiness he was seeking. He was becoming something he did not like. He doesn't think he can be a husband and father and he wants to protect Taylor as much as he wants to be with her. He is a very compassionate man and that makes him all the more attractive to me.
I have really enjoyed this series and highly recommend it to those looking for a really well developed romance with characters that feel real. They have great chemistry. The parts with them just holding one another and appreciating the touch of someone really connected with me.
A Real Cowboy Rides a Motorcycle is the third book in the Wyoming Rebels series and is Zane Stockton and Taylor Shaw's story. It can be read as a standalone but the characters do appear in the previous books.
Taylor is Mira's best friend and since Mira started her new life with Chase Stockton, she has been alone. She has a corporate job that she does not enjoy and works for her ex-boyfriend. When Taylor goes to stay with Mira and Chase, she finds that she does not fit in to Mira's life anymore and feels like an outsider. Zane is a former champion bull rider. He does not fit in with his brothers and his childhood taught him to avoid all emotional ties. The only thing Zane needs in his life is his motorcycle, but he agrees to stay at Chase's ranch to help out when Mira and Chase's baby is due. With both of them staying at the Stockton ranch, Zane and Taylor find themselves sharing a one bedroom bunk house.
Zane and Taylor are instantly attracted to each other and they have great chemistry. Neither one of them is looking for any kind of commitment so why not enjoy each other? Both leads are looking for their place in the world, struggling for acceptance and damaged by their past. Taylor sees Zane as the man he really is and her unwavering belief in him unlocks feelings that he never thought he would have. Equally, Zane sees passed Taylors façade to the vulnerable woman inside. Can Zane and Taylor accept that they are worthy of love, breakdown the walls they have built around their hearts and help heal each other?
A Real Cowboy Rides a Motorcycle is an emotional read and I loved how real and raw the relationship was between Zane and Taylor. Individually, Zane and Taylor were great characters but as a couple they were amazing. Stephanie Rowe takes the reader on a real journey to Zane and Taylor's HEA and the ending of the book is beautiful. I hope there will be more books in the Wyoming Rebels series as I would love to read more of the Stockton brothers stories.
I received an ARC of A Real Cowboy Rides a Motorcycle from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I can't say enough good things about this series and excited I've been to read each book so far. I loved Zane and Taylor together. I'm always a sucker for an emotional love story, and in this book it was like I was right there watching the drama unfold. Starting with the first page I was pulled into the story and I couldn't put it down for a minute.
These Stockton brothers are so damaged that it would be impossible for me not to love every one of them. I do ! But I've been intrigued by Zane since the beginning. He's been such a hard case in the previous books so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Zane was hiding the biggest heart. His story had so many moments where I was in tears. Zane and Taylor seemed perfect for each other. He was scared of failing the people in his life. She was scared because everyone continued to fail her. They had both been let down so many times that in self preservation they distanced themselves from everyone. Then they met and had such a visceral connection that they found themselves confiding about their secrets, fears and failures. They came to believe in each other but their fears still made them wary until two lost little boys made them take a chance on being a family.
"If I didn't love you so much, I would keep you. I'd be willing to take your dreams away so I could have you for myself. But I can't do that, because hurting you would destroy me."
This book was so good ! Really, I knew Zane's book was going to be special but had no clue just how heartfelt it would be. I enjoyed this emotionally riveting story and can't wait for more.
What a great story and addition to the Wyoming Rebels series. I'm a sucker for a hot and sexy cowboy and this book did not disappoint! We are introduced to Zane Stockton, ex bad ass champion bull rider with a major chip on his shoulder and Taylor the beautiful workaholic who thinks that she'll never find a man that will truly love her forever. The fact that Taylor really sees Zane for the man he truly is and could care less about his accomplishments has Zane having feelings he never thought he would ever have and the fact that Zane accepts Taylor even though she has an "issue" which seems to be a deal breaker for most men, helps to finally break down the wall around her heart to trust him and his love which makes them perfect for each other. This book has a beautiful ending and I hope we get more of this part of the Stockton clan and how their "new" lives play out.
This book depicts exactly the feelings of loneliness one feels, when everyone around him/her is happy, but he/she is missing something from his/her life. I could totally relate with the heroine and feel her longing for acceptance and love. It is very emotionally charged and you might want to avoid it if you are having a bad day. But those emotions and their exact depistion, is the reason why everyone needs to read this book! It is one of the few books that have touched me so much emotionally. For the rest of its traits, it has a strong plot which touches some very important matters. Most of us don't even think of them as important, but when we come face to face with those motters we are stunted! I had so many things to think after reading this book, I did not see it coming!
This was a very touching story. We are introduced to another Stockton brother~ Zane, a former champion bull rider. Zane is running away from people and emotional ties in his life. His motorcycle is his rush in life. Enter Taylor, an unhappy workaholic, who feels that she is broken merchandise and not worthy of love. Can Zane and Taylor break down their emotional walls around their hearts?? What will it take for those walls to come tumbling down?? The answer will surprise you!! :) I certainly hope that there are going to be more books about the Stockton brothers.
Grab some tissues before you read this book. This was one of my favorite books ever. Taylor and Zane are wonderful characters. I think I started crying at least half way through this book. Some happy tears, some sad, but all totally worth it. The selflessness shown by Zane is amazing and heartbreaking. Taylor is his perfect mate in every way possible. Seeing them realize this throughout the book is wonderful. I can't say enough good things about this book!!!
Another amazing Stockton brothers novel. I love how real and raw the relationship between Taylor and Zane is. Both characters are broken and have had many reasons to not trust people in general. This story takes you through many emotions, I cried with the characters and for the characters. I loved this story and can't wait to read more about the Stockton brother's.
What an emotional ride! Stephanie Rowe has me yelling, crying, and laughing out loud with and at these Stockton boys and their love interests. What an emotional roller coaster of emotions. Be prepared for people to look at you like you're crazy if you read in public.
Zane and Taylor were made for each other and such a perfect fit. I cannot wait for the next release!
Zane Stockton walked away from his bull riding career. He's not looking for love or commitment in his life either. He likes being on the back of his motorcycle, driving at high speeds and just being. When he makes a visit to his family ranch and enters the bunkhouse bed he finds it's not empty. Taylor Shaw has come to the ranch to help her best friend Mira during the birth of her first child when she finds a strange man entering her bunkhouse bed. Absolutely loved Zane and Taylors story!
I was so nervous about Zane's book. He is so rough and tumble and not looking for connections in any way, shape, or form. To watch him fall for not only Taylor, but the boys as well was heartwarming. So many twists and turns for him emotionally to get to this place that transcends everything else. Yet another great book in this series.
Zane was the brother who never stayed in one place. Just jumped on his bike and took off. But he promised his brother he would help on the ranch. At least until Mira had her baby and things settled down. Taylor missed her best friend Mira so showing up early she thought was a good idea. Great series. Love the Stockton men.
I've been enjoying these cowboy romances. Taylor and Zanes story was really good and there for a while I was beginning to think it was not going to happen and they were never going to make it work, but then it happened in such a sweet way. I enjoyed this story a lot.
Zane runs or rides his motorcycle to find peace. Coming to the ranch to help out Chase while Mira has her baby and they plan to get married, Mira’s best friend Taylor comes too. They’re both restless so a ride on the motorcycle find them at The Garage. A place for boys to play but Zane there for funeral because he couldn’t save One....but can he help Luke and Toby?
Best of the series, so far. Zane Stockton is the youngest, brashest and most skeptical of the nine Stockton half-brothers. His rather embarrassing "cute meet" with his eldest brother's wife's best friend, Taylor Shaw sets the stage for a fun, interesting and intriguing life journey.
Loads of self sacrifice from both Zane and Taylor whom we met or heard about in previous books. Full of emotion. Is a tearjerker of the best kind as the two traverse from self sacrifice to true and honest feelings and happy endings. Thoroughly enjoyed it and could not put it down.
I love Stephanie Rowe's writing. It's like having a movie playing in your head as you read. This one though, made me gasped and caused tears to fall. So far the previous books held my attention and tugged at my heart- but this one had me reach for the tissues. So get ready.
Yay a plot that glorifies adoption. And as an added bonus, there is snuggling and getting to know each other before the sex. In general, this is a great series with sort of rough heroes who are good guys.
Loved this story. Zane has been angry for a long time. Then he meets Taylor. Both of them are hurting but they quickly realize they are drawn to each other & could they possibly learn that they may have other choices than the path they have each been on.
I'm enjoying the Real Cowboys series. Zane carries a lot of baggage and it takes several special people to make him believe he can take on the responsibility of a family.
Zane and Taylor's story is touching and haunting at the same time. Both characters have been crushed by loss, but find comfort and love with each other. As the third book in this series, it doesn't disappoint.
I think this the best one in the series so far. I absolutely loved Zane and Taylor. It made me laugh, cry and smile. When a book gets to my emotions it's a good one.
I just love these Stockton boys. They are so heartbreakingly sweet and wounded. Zane and Taylor are so wonderful together. I love catching a glimpse of the other couples from the first two books.
