P.S. Meraux writes books about paranormal chaos, sassy heroines, and creatures who are just a little unhinged (in the best way). She's an Indie and Amazon bestselling author—which sounds fancy until you realize it just means she drinks too much coffee and argues with fictional people for a living. Her stories mix sci-fi, mystery, romance, and a generous helping of “wait, did that just happen?”

P.S. has a thing for supernatural oddballs, morally gray weirdos, and badass women who save themselves (and occasionally punch vampires in the face). Her idea of worldbuilding is "let's break everything and see what grows back."

Originally from South Carolina, she now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where her backyard is suspiciously full of fireflies and dubiously English for someone not living in a BBC period drama. There may or may not be faeries. There is definitely sarcasm.

I am addicted to this story! Not since I read Twilight have I found a group of characters who are so complex and believable. I love rooting for Emily. Meraux’s writing method not only brings them to life but makes me care about what happens to their lives, like they’re real people. Does that make me sound demented? I hope not.

I mean I have a spouse and a child and friends and well -- a life. But I am invested in these characters. There’s so much humor in this series. OMG! The “sex chat” between Emily and Myling, talk about giggling like a loon! I mean it’s innocent and wholesome but hysterical at the same time when I think of the implications. I could picture the entire scene of Emily getting advice from her mentor and see the color blossom on her face while she stared at her shoes.

I’m worried about what will happen when I get through the final book – I’m excited because I want to know what happens next. And reluctant – I don’t want this series to end.
Can I petition the author to write more about these characters? P.S. Meraux if you’re listening… keep the story going ….I mean like forever!

P.S. Meraux has done it for the sixth time. Wow. Beam is an awesome book.

The 'sex talk' Emily has with her mentor -- talking about 'exploding boyfriends' had me howling. Howling out loud! Seriously my face hurt from laughing so much. And yet the 'sex talk' managed to be incredibly clean and wholesome. Love it!

I'm still pulling for Emily and David even if other people disagree with that potential pairing. They have an underlying friendship that a good, stable, nurturing relationship needs to survive --despite them both being pig headed as heck!

Man I'd like to spill the beans but that would be too much. I may have already said too much in discussing the 'sex talk'. I love things that make me laugh and keep me guessing and entertained. This book is amazing and delivers on all three fronts. It had all the elements to keep me turning digital page after page. In true Meraux style it made me want the next book.

If you have not started reading this series you are missing out. Truly. How often can I say that about a supernatural, old fashioned romance that doesn't focus solely on vampires and werewolves these days.

Fascinating and funny story line. I laughed out loud at the scene in the market. I thought I knew how this saga was going to go for Emily until I read this, except the author turned the tables again which I loved. I hate predictable novels where everything is laid out like you've seen before. This author doesn't write like that. I suppose that is why I keep buying her books. HeHe! They're really, really good and totally unpredictable. Can't wait for the next one.
