Blair Mason was a woman with a one-track mind, and that track was work. From sunrise to sun down, all she thought about was how to keep her small town grocery store open. That meant hard decisions, the type Blair was in the midst of making when she was rudely interrupted by a tall man. A tall handsome man. Oh, there were things other than work after all!

Daxton Holt thought getting his honey on Mason's shelves would be simple. Walk in, flash a smile and fill out some paperwork. But this owner was something else. She saw right through his charms, pushing him to really sell his product. He liked that, and he liked her. A feisty little minx is sweeter than any honey his bees made...

This 11,000+ word novella has hot Bear Shifter Moonshiner action, a Happily Ever After, no cheating and no cliffhangers! I've attached some free stories afterward as my thanks to you.

Thanks Becca for the ARC for my honest review.

Do you like paranormal romances? Yes, you will love this book!! This is Daxton and Blair's story. It is a cute, fun story with the characters having a quick connection. Who doesn't love a bear shifter...selling honey!! He protects her, helps her business and just seems like a nice guy/bear. Blair is hard working and not so sure....
Give this book a try-you won't regret it!! Keep them coming Becca!!

Blair's business is failing and she doesn't know what to do to fix it. Daxton and his partners make honey along with moonshine, and soaps. He has an idea to help her business, go to local and organic products. Daxton also has another proposition, for Blair to go out with him. Blair and Daxton's road to falling in love isn't easy, he's a bear shifter, and there are people that try to hurt them both. Another great quick read from Becca Fanning! I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

1.5 stars. This is one of those stories where the author tries to put in a bunch of things like drama, action and romance and it doesn't work. It's too short for all of that stuff to be included. There was really random drama that just came out of nowhere and it wasn't ever explained and it just ruined everything. There's only one sex scene and it's not even that sexy. I don't really recommend this story. Thank goodness it was free.

Becca Fanning has that little something special that lets her readers know she loves to write. If you're a fan of shifter romance stories that are great, with romance, passion, sexy alpha shifters who will do anything to get the woman they want, love, and a HEA, you definitely need to read Daxton.

I was given a courtesy copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Oh how sweet is a bear shifter selling honey? He does have other products as well such as moonshine, but what this bear wants is Blair. Such a sweet story. Love the characters and can't get enough of these bears!! I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I confess I had low expectations, but this actually isn’t bad. It’s too short to really be fully developed in any area, but it has some moments that had my attention.

The plot seemed a bit random and didn’t make the most sense, as in you never understand what peoples motivations are for their behaviors. The dialogue is just a bit stilted and unnatural at times, and there’s a little bit too much telling in a few spots.

But, I can also tell that there is some writing skill here, even if it needs a bit more polish. I think if this would have been expanded to 2-3 times this length to help build the world and develop the characters, and if it had just a bit more rewriting and editing, it would be even better. It’s all too abrupt for me, but at the same time I don’t completely dislike this overall, even though I am pointing out a lot of flaws.

It should be noted that I listened to the audiobook, and I thought the narrator did a good job.

In Daxton he is the sales person for his Honey company and Blair Mason owns a grocery store that is struggling due to the new big-box store in town that is cutting prices. Daxton presents his product, gives her a new marketing idea and lets her tour his production to see the health and safety regulations are meet.

The story is a short story, and it has nothing wrong with it. I just felt that the story could have more character development of both the main characters and the gang of guys that attacked them twice. It would have been more satisfying for the reader to have a deeper look at the characters and more details in the story.

Daxton is a hot bear shifter. The romance is fun and heated. The problems are ones that people face in the real world so the story has a solid base.

I was given a free copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Blair is the manager of a local store, which is going under due to a bigger chain store moving in. Daxton is a Bear shifter who also happens to be a partner in a honey business. He comes to Blairs shop to sell to her, but she is not easy to convince.
This was different but fun. A bear shifter as sales agent was not what I expected. Doesn't stop him from being sexy or protective while trying to win Blair over. She played a little hard to get which I'm sure he enjoyed. I did feel a bit sorry for him after she found out. But of course his sexiness won her  :) and when they do get it in? HOT!!!! i can't wait to read more of this series. Good first book.

Shifter. Shifter. Shifter.

This is one of those bundle sets that has several short stories all focused around shifters. Each story is short and all are stand alone stories. Easy reading.

Audio review

This is a great short audio. I love my PNR and once I saw who the narrator is I had to get it . This is a great novella. Full of excitement. Meghan Kelly was fantastic. She did all the parts beyond 5 starts . Her voice showed all the characters and emotions perfectly .
Hero is Dalton. Heroine is Blair

Blair has a problem. The profits in her store are slowly going down . Blair hates what she is seeing and she hates what she needs to do . If the profits keep on going down , Blair will need to lay some of the workers . That’s when Daxton walks in . Daxton gives Blair an idea about how to improve her inventory and sales. It’s about buying local . Daxton tells Blair she should start with the honey . There is a reason why Daxton suggested honey. Wanna know why . Grab it and find out

The couple: Daxton and Blair

Romance trope: shifter
Series: 120 Proof Honey
Length: 57 pages

Plot: Blair is struggling to make her local grocery store a success. When Daxton comes in hoping to sell his honey. She doesn't want to, but he's persistent. She soon finds out that there's a reason he's so good with honey. But they might have even more to worry about when some local thugs just won't leave them alone.

Commentary: I feel like those guys that attacked them won't just go away (although was the one dead? Because if so, I guess he won't be coming back to bother them). Maybe they'll show up in future books.

Next book in the series: Knox

A Quick and Satisfying Read

This was a pretty quick read, so it not going to be as detailed as a full length novel. But you get enough to enjoy the story. The cons are you don't hear from Daxton at all, so we have no idea what his thoughts were and the title says BBW, but it wasn't mentioned at all in the story. This is where hearing from both points of view helps. I guess the moonshiners aspect comes into play in other books and not this one because he is just the marketing guy, not the brewer. But otherwise it was a pretty nice story.

I expected more from a Becca Fanning book

One would think that a novelist of Ms. Fanning's caliber could offer a story that wasn't so tediously boring. I detested the lead characters immensely. Both were very hard to like. For me and yes this is a personal opinion, I'm very, very glad I didn't pay for the book. Had I paid I would be getting a refund. The only reason I gave 3 stars was the book had proper editing and was easy to follow. I have had my fair share of crappy unedited publications written with so many grammatical errors as six years old could do better.

This book was good, but it felt rushed and was lacking details. I loved the plot and characters but could not connect with them. I would love a tad longer story with more development between the characters before they decide to be together. I need a bit more angst or push and pull. I did not really undersrand the characters before they got together so I could not root for them. It was good and I will read the others in the series.

No real story

It’s only 11 chapters and has no real plot beside woman owns small store beaR shifter walks into store to sell his honey in the store they have sex the end no actual story line besides this. It could if been a great book if more time was taken to really write a story not 11 chapters that are 2-3 pages each. She really could of written a really in depth love story with an incredible plot with layers not worth the download even for free

Definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this story about Daxton and Blair. I LOVE reading about the paranormal and especially shifters of ALL kinds, as well as vampires. This was more of a short story/novella but regardless, I loved it, the romance and I look forward to reading the next book in this Series, Knox.

Loving Werebears

I never thought I could get into were-bears but as I am reading more of Becca Fanning’s bear books I am loving them. It is actually rather interesting that they find love without having to have a mate. The idea of not having to have a mate is a great concept. I can’t wait to read the other books.

Enjoyed This Story A Lot

Could be every woman's worse first date nightmare or every woman dream. And I think even I would like to try their Honey Whiskey if it could really be that smooth.😳 A real sweet love story.

The description said it had “hot Bear Shifter Moonshiner action” so obviously I couldn’t NOT read it.

Freebie novella from Nook. Worth what I paid. Honestly not as cringey as I expected, pretty decent writing for one of these (hence 3 stars), but still got a few laughs out of me.

Not Enough Honey

Very sweet and lovable. The characters were charming and I loved Dax, he was a genuinely good guy just trying to take care of his family and find some happiness along the way.
A short sweet romance to get lost in.

Short and sweet, with a hot ending.

A woman who owns a failing local grocery is offered a new product, local organic honey, as well as other honey products. And a date on Friday. What she doesn't know is that the supplier is a bear shifter.

This was a very short quickie. Could have been drawn out for a wonderful story. I love bear shifter stories but this one just disappointed me with no plot, or proper end.

Sounded good reading the description

But just didn't work out that way. Why aren't we getting Daxton POV? This should've made it a better story; couldn't finish the book bc of that.
