For six months, Shea Murphy has been moving from city to city, attempting to distance herself from her failure as both a sub and wife following her husband’s suicide. With the loss of her Master’s strict discipline to keep her obsessive compulsive disorder under control, she’s finally driven to seek relief with another Dom. Entering The Warehouse, she has but one purpose, and that is to leave with a sore bottom which would relieve the unbearable stress—at least long enough to get her to her next destination, wherever that may be. She has absolutely no desire for anything from this incredible Dominant other than punishment, and fights with everything she has against revealing the true demons tormenting her so. However, after two sessions with Master Fin, her urge to flee Richmond subsides and she takes a temporary job at a restaurant.
Fin O’Dell returns after a week out of town to find the sub he couldn’t forget is now his newest employee. Catching her stressing in his kitchen after closing, his quick response of another blistering spanking gives her the relief she needs. Loving all women, Fin has happily played the field for years. He's never found it difficult to send a submissive on her way after he's helped her discover what she desires. But now the feisty lady sharing his home has him wondering if he, like his friends, has finally found the one woman who would capture his heart forever. As much as he is falling for Shea, he can not go further until she has learned to trust him in all ways. If that takes several trips over his lap or bound to apparatus at The Warehouse, so be it.
As Shea succumbs to Fin as a Master a little more each day, she struggles with her perceived guilt over her husband’s suicide, refusing to believe Fin’s insistence Gerard was not the man – or the Dom – she thought he was. When the truth comes out, she's forced to ask herself: has she waited too long to trust Fin? Or will just one simple word be enough to put the past behind her and give herself without reservation to her new Master?
I live in the Midwest with my husband and two dogs, enjoy spending time with my daughter, babysitting her two dogs, reading and working puzzles. We have traveled extensively, but I much prefer being a homebody.
I began writing erotic novels with an emphasis on erotic spanking five years ago never dreaming that I would get published. I just celebrated the release of my eleventh title and am very thankful to my publisher, Pink Flamingo, for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a fun career. While my earlier books lean more towards straight erotica that will appeal to only a very select audience, my last five books are erotic romances. I enjoy hearing all comments from readers. First off, Shea Murphy has some serious psychological issues, and if this book was real life, I would be upset that she isn't seeing a mental health professional (even though she has in the past, and quotes his advice to her multiple times during the book). That being said, her relationship with Fin O'Dell, her new boss and Master, is a great one. He pushes, but not too much, and while she doesn't want to hear anything bad about her dead husband, Fin's judgement of him is spot-on (as she later realizes). The ending is way too rushed, but otherwise, this is a great book.
This book has a good premise, but lack of research shows in the details. I find this book a poor representation of BDSM in general, and of Dom/sub relationships specifically.
I read this as part of the Determined To Master box set. I liked it for the most part. It features Fin, one of Nate and Dec's friends, and fellow Dom, and Shea, a sub who's seeking relief from her guilt over her Master/husband's suicide a year ago. Fin's the Dom in charge of newbies who are interested in The Warehouse the night Shea stops in, and he is interested in what secrets he can see hiding in her eyes. He knows there's a lot going on with her and he wants to help. He wants to play with her too, but more than that, he wants to help. Unfortunately, Shea's guilt, made so much worse by her severe OCD, causes her to run, so Fin will have to wait until their next meeting before he can set about helping her. I didn't like this one as much as the previous two, mainly because Shea was a little annoying. I loved Fin, though, and thought Surrender to Me was just as sexy as Blindsided and Bind Me to You.
The sex scenes were so repetitive they were downright boring and I slipped loads of pages. I felt utterly depressed after reading this story. Not only because of the fact that these women had no personalities of their own, living only to please men, but the fact that they were treat exactly the way you would treat a pet...stroke its hair, have it sit on the floor beside your chair and more. And all in the name of men supposedly giving women what they ultimately wanted! Please!!!!!! She's was a mess. Her OCD and her submissive tendencies were just ripe for abuse. I am afraid I thought Fin was an abuser in my mind. A dominant male it was his way or none at all. You will never get me to agree that all he did to Shea was supposedly for her benefit. And not one negative response from her. Brainwaahed.
Shea Murphy is on the move from city to city, following her husband's suicide. She has a obsessive compulsive disorder and needs the strict discipline of a dominant to relieve her stress. Following two sessions at The Warehouse with Master Fin, the urge to flee from Richmond subsidies. By chance Shea gets a job at the restaurant that Fin O'Dell owns and when he returns from a trip to find she is his newest employee, he is smitten. He invites her to live in his flat but her perceived guilt about her husband's suicide stops her trusting and accepting his love. How their relationship changes and develops is heart felt and makes wonderful reading.
This is a story with someone with severe OCD which makes it an excellent reality read. The Dom is a unique mix of flyby, chef, and Dom, with a special understanding of OCD because his brother has it. The fly in the relationship is the girl's dead husband... he turns out to have been not all she thought. Unfortunately the ending leaves you with questions, they finally seem to be ready to talk but the story ends... I soo hope there is a bit of their talk in the rest of the series... its a good story but I am not liking the endings in this series...too much unresolved up in the air. I like it.
Dear Readers , This story reminds us that love & gratitude can go hand n hand . But never let gratitude over rule CommonSense. A loving relationship should never make you feel like you owe someone more than they deserve . I love this happy ending of spice & everything FIN . Oh how fine a man he is . Delightful & delicious.
Master Fun was wonderful. He was exactly what Shea needed. All of the characters in the book were believable and friendly. Although, I could not imagine someone taking such physical punishment, I enjoyed this book. I will seek out more of the authors books. Thanks for a good spanking read
Disappointed 🤔 Compared to the first two books this one felt like a letdown. I had to listen to her deluded monologues and self imposed hair shirt. But you finished the book before she explained anything. Her husband is still a swindling git and this will probably reflect badly in his parents eyes just as she suspected.
I got this on Kindle Unlimited. The heroine, Shea, is so troubled. Her early childhood is sad. Fin is a hardcore dominant and apparently what she needs. Story is okay and took me awhile to stay interested enough to finish.
Unlike most series I’ve read, where the first book knocks it out of the ball park and as each book is released, the interest and intensity begins to fall, B.J Wane does the exact opposite. This author continues to raise the bar with each book in the series. Surrender to Me is an epic read on its own, but this book makes the Virginia Bluebloods series soar to the top of my most cherished series list.
As I have been reading all three books back to back, there has always been this strange feeling flowing through me. It felt like I had come back home or finally returned to the prized vacation spot that I dream about all year long. As I was finishing Surrender to Me, it finally dawned on me what that feeling was. If you were caught up in the new phase of BDSM books a few years back like I was, when the sexy Dom was not only an alpha but a protective caregiver, well welcome home with Virginia Blueblood series.
I have no shame in admitting I am totally in love with men like Fin O’Dell. He is part of the four guy pack of friends who all stuck together over the years as they tried to break away from their rich parents demands. Fin has an eating establishment that his father considers less than worthy of the family name. He also helps Dec at the Warehouse, a sex club that allows him to get his dirty kink on.
Shea Murphy is running from the haunting memories of rejection, betrayal and pain. After her much older husband dies she takes to the road, staying in places only a few weeks before she moves on. She also battles a mental issue that leaves her in a state of panic every minute of the day. The only thing that ever helped her was the pain her late husband would give her early in their marriage. Seeking out a quick fix, she finds herself at the Warehouse and face to face with Fin.
Her issues weren’t new to Fin, he has seen people with this before and it isn’t uncommon for him to take new subs or subs with fears and problems under his wing to guide them to till they could control their fears and submit to the feelings their Dom was providing, but something about Shea refused to let him just help and let go. No he needs to know the secrets she is holding and make her part of his life.
I had so many heart melting moments in this story. I didn’t think I could love a book more than Bind me to You but Fin and Shea shattered that theory with their story. Strong man who pays attention to every expression, muscle movement and knows the solution before the problem is stated, a woman who gives more than submission to her Dom, but also her trust and love as well no matter how much she has been hurt before, what more could we ask for in a book.
I loved this story and this series with the way BJ Wane weaves a tale. This is the third book in the Virginia Bluebloods series and it is definitely a page turner, just as the other two books have been. Each book will read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading them in order. The story if full of open, honest, and raw dialog and emotions with real life issues that she brings into play in her stories.
The story revolves around one woman, Shea Murphy, and two Masters, her dead husband, Master Gerard, and her budding relationship with Master Fin. Shea is a bright woman, is an accountant, but had a terrible childhood with so much loss, from her alcoholic mother, to foster parents that weren’t always supportive. Shea has OCD that at times has such a powerful control over her that it takes a deviation to help her cope. Fin’s younger brother, Sean, suffers OCD, so he understands, and he can help Shea with an attack. The pull and guilt she feels and is burdened with from childhood to her late husband is a constant battle.
The plot of the story is full of blame, guilt, anger, hurt, confusion, and a desire to please and trying to make amends to a deceased husband. The characters in these stories are very well developed and engaging. The way Fin deals with Shea is open and honest, but he knows she holds back, and her dead husband haunts her and is caught up in their relationship. The story keeps the majority of issues with Gerard in the background and slowly brings the truth to light, adding a touch of mystery and suspense. What will it take for Shea to quit blaming herself for other’s failures and to accept and trust Fin? The story is explicit in sex scenes including several ménage à trios scenes at The Warehouse. For Shea, she could be very open with pain and carnal delights, giving over control to Master Fin. It is her personal emotions and memories that haunt her, holding her back, like an open wound that just won’t heal until she is willing to bury her past and more forward with her future.
The Virginia Bluebloods series is quickly ranking right up there with my favorites, that being said, book three deals with my favorite of the bluebloods, Finley O'Dell. The hot Irish Dom who owns the airstrip and O'Dells restaurant. He's also participated in a couple of hot menagès in book one and two.
Enter Shea Murphy. A sub who lost her Master and husband 18 months prior. She's been moving around and has finally settled down for a bit in Fin's neck of the woods. She decides to go to a BDSM club for the first time and the Warehouse is her choice. Fin is the Dom taking care of the newbies for the night, and the tour with her certainly doesn't go as planned as she runs off. Shea is suffering from severe OCD and usually had her Master to help deal with it, usually by punishment.
When Fin returns from a trip a week later, he finds her in his kitchen suffering from a severe OCD attack, knowing what will help, he spanks her. They fall into a routine, but Shea's trust is hard-earned, and she doesn't realize that her old Master/husband was abusive. Will Fin get through to her? Or will she run once again? And who's the lucky menagè partner? Buy Surrender to Me and find out.
When I started this book I thought I was prepared for whatever I would find in it. That’s what I get for thinking. Set in a BDSM setting with issues such as OCD, guilt, previous abuse and coming to terms with everything.
I was all over the place with this one, frustrated with the OCD issues, in tears over some of the other things going on between our leading couple. Laughing with some of the oddities in the characters back from other books. When all is said and done I just wanted to keep going but of course the book ended. I sat there and though not yet… I’m not ready for it to be over. Of course when I think about it, it was the right time for the ending.
I have been impressed with this series from book one and each book deals with different characters in the core group of friends. They are all different yet all follow a very moving and emotional storyline that works to make them very powerful as a whole. They can be read as standalone books but I would strongly recommend reading them in order.

This story held my attention from beginning to end. Shea is a really troubled woman recovering from the suicide of her husband, and the terrible effects of OCD which cause her to behave in compulsive ways to relieve stresses she is constantly feeling. Spankings are a means of stress relief for her, and she seeks the opportunity to have a spanking at The Warehouse – a club near the motel where she is living. Meeting Fin, and coming to live with him, enables her to substitute spankings and other punishments for the compulsive behaviors – and as time passes, she gradually develops strong feelings for Fin – and he, for her. How they work through these issues makes an interesting story that is also filled with various sexual and BDSM activities.
BJ Wane does it again. The first two books in this series where great and this, the third one, is no exception. This time Master Fin, a hot guy with a Scottish brogue, is one of the main characters the other is Shea who was married previously to her former Professor Gerard, he was now deceased Shea also suffers from OCD and trust issues. Shea keeps comparing Fin with her husband. This book does have some twists and turns with Shea continually trying Fin's patience and thinking about leaving Fin. I loved this book I only wish that is was longer it seemed to end abruptly, which doesn't take away from the ending. I just hope that the Author has more books in this series to come, that will included more about Fin and Shea. There is also Master Wes that has not found a life long partner.
This is the third book in the Virginia Bluebloods series. This is Fin's and Shea's story. Shea is trying to recover from her husband and Master's death. He was much older than she was and helped her control her OCD by discipline. Because of the guilt that she feels about his death she is having lots of trouble controlling her OCD and she has a lot of trust issues. She finds Fin and he helps her, but she has a hard time believing that he loves her.
This is more about BDSM than it is about domestic discipline. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I give this 5 stars.
I really enjoyed this book by BJ Wane. Shea is a young woman carrying a heavy burden of guilt that shouldn't be hers to carry. She suffers greatly from OCD as a way to cope with her fears. She meets Fin and he is quickly enamored with this troubled young woman. He is willing to help her work through her troubles. His discipline seems to be working to, if only she can release her fears and guilt. This book is a must read. I would also suggest going back and reading the two novels before this one as characters are mentioned from them as well.
After missing the 2nd book in this series I did not want to miss the 3rd! Happy to say that I enjoyed this as well. Even though they involve the same characters & settings I loved the fact that the stories have been very different in feel because of the different personalities of the main players. Shouldn't really have been surprised but I was. Really enjoyed the interaction between the characters & can't wait for more from this series.
I love this book and the series in general. B J Wane never has disappointed me. I have read several books. This, as well as the other 2 Blue-Blood's books, can be read as standalone but I recommend you read in order This entire series deals with strong emotional content, trust issues especially. They all deal with real controversies and how communication through the BDSM theme can help heal , establish trust and extreme and strong love bonds between partners.
Shea has OCD issues stemming from childhood experiences and probably aggravated by adult experiences also. Spanking gives her relief from her OCD. The therapy she received along with the love, care & spankings provided by Finn helped her control her OCD and get perspective on her past experiences. Love and trust grew between the two of them and it was heartwarming to read.
