I am very honored to be included in the selection of stories in this book. My chapter is called Unity in Goodbye. It is a story about how our scattered family came together during a time of crisis. Within the confines of a hospital room we learned to bring the best out in each other and ourselves. Everyone has a personal story and I love Chicken Soup Books because they are filled with stories from people who are brave, and funny, and sad; the whole spectrum of emotions. In these stories we can relate to the characters and who knows? One might be your next door neighbor!
This book always be my #1 choice everytime I get down in my life. When life feels rude and cold, this book can always warm me up, like I'm eating a chicken soup, that's why it's called. Reading this book at night before falling asleep makes me feel that I'm not alone in this world. There are a bunch of other stories which are similar with my condition, but they decided and chose to stay positive and thought that nothing is impossible then turn it out to be reality. All I can say to them is nothing but a "thank you" 🙂
Out of the 101 stories that I read. I enjoyed most of them thoroughly. A lot bought a tear to my eye because of how inspiring and motivating the story was. I can’t say which story I enjoyed the most. Each had their own special message. One story that does stand out was a story called THE HONORS CLASS That story made me realise that if you put a little bit more effort and time into someone or something then others. You will reap what you sow. A bit more love. A bit more attention. A bit more action. The beautiful things that can come of it can change you and the world around you. A newly graduated history teacher is set to take on a class of 11th graders when she discovers a new path to teaching them rather then the good ol read from the book method.
This book is definitely for anyone looking for some positivity in their life or whoever needs a top up of inspiration and motivation. 😊😊.
As usual series of chicken soup, some stories are very inspirational. As through reading so far, my fav is Chutes and Ladders by Hollyw Dexter. We have to game on even somebody won it already. Blind Faith story gave strength to move on even in deprived situation. You will never know the outcome until you try. 💪
I have been reading Chicken Soup for the Soul books since childhood. I always enjoy them. The stories in them always are inspiring. They may tell sad stories or happy ones, each of them having a lesson to give. The Anecdotal format makes it a quick read that you can pick up and put down at any time. I gave this one a three-star review only because it wasn't my favorite one.
Thank you so much for the 101 inspirational stories which had taught me a lot of useful things, like new ways of thinking, how to be grateful, and seeing problem with a different perspective.
when i'm not in the best condition ,whether it's mental health or physical health, i remind myself certain stories from this book and it gives me encouragement
(beberapa kali kisah serupa muncul terutama bagian penderita kanker).
I love the Chicken Soup series of books, and not just because I have stories in several of them now. (None in this one though.) I'm a fairly upbeat person by nature anyone, but there are times in all our lives where black clouds hang over us. How do you stay positive or bounce back during (or after) such times hit? SO many things can go wrong in our lives. These authors shared some heart wrenching struggles that tested their perspectives, and in some cases shaped them, and in all cases made them see the good even during the bad. I loved all the quotes before each story and now have a whole bunch new ones to add to my quote journal. If you need to be lifted up and reminded that maybe things could be worse...or if they're bad enough but need to be reminded they won't stay that way if you shift your perspective, this book will grace you with comfort and wisdom.
A huge compilation of stories where people show how positive mindset can bring you further mentally, if not physically. They are testimonies for readers to have faith in their lives even when things presented in front of them do not seem positive.
I understand it is nice for many people to read a compilation of inspiring stories, but personally I cannot relate to the stories. It is very difficult for me to keep reading because each story did not give me something to look forward to. This is probably not a book that I should read in one go, instead I should read few chapters from time to time, until I finish it after years. That being said, it is a little demotivating to me because I never like putting a book aside with a bookmark in it for a long time.
All of them wrote about their obstacle in life and how they deal with it. Things are not as easy as they are. However, I believe they are doing their best.
These people shared their stories and experience as guidelines for us. Be positive. Do your best and let The Almighty do the rest.
It's my first chicken soup series book And i really admire the idea of the creators. The real life incidents shared by peoples are relatable and give a new thought and strength to ponder them.
This book moves so many ways towards positive and challenges. A very honest about real peoples and attitude. For me, they are very inspirational and makes you feel more positive and grateful.
Insightful anecdotes that helps view scenarios from some of the most optimistic individuals'perspectives. A page a day to pep oneself for a great day ahead !!
