Maybe for a novice or someone who doesn't know their way around a kitchen this would be okay, but to be honest, the recipes weren't authentic Italian OR Italian/American and the Pizza section was absolutely ridiculous. Two things turn me off about Italian cookbooks and this had both of them: Too many ingredients that came out of jars or purchased frozen AND a Fettucine Alfredo recipe that calls for cream. There's no cream in authentic Fettucine Alfredo. Maybe I'm a snob, but if so--I don't care.
