The Reed Brothers #3

Lentamente, attentamente, completamente

Rate this book

Reagan

Pete mi ha salvata. Ma ora tocca a me ricambiare il favore. È sexy, con i suoi tatuaggi e i piercing, ma, sotto sotto, anche lui ha bisogno di essere salvato.

Riuscirà ad amarmi completamente?

Tammy Falkner lives on a farm in a lovely, sprawling little town in rural NC with her beekeeper husband and a house full of boys, a few dogs, and a cat or two (or five – who has time to count?). As half of the Lydia Dare team, she has co-written ten books, including the Westfield Wolves series and the Gentlemen Vampyre series. A huge fan of Regency England, she often wonders what other kinds of magical, mythical and strange creatures might live and interact within the ton. Exploring the theory that the fae can walk between Regency England and their own land, Tammy spends as much time as possible with the lords and ladies of society, horse-drawn carriages, and elegant balls. Now add to that some faeries, a little murder, a bit of mayhem, and a troublesome garden gnome, and you have her exciting new series. She hopes you enjoys her world as much as she does.

I love these Reed brothers! Every single one of them! This is the third book in The Reed Brother’s series and it’s Pete’s story. Pete is the youngest of the brothers, and Sam’s twin. Pete has had a rough two years. He’s spent them in jail. After making a stupid mistake for a good reason, he’s out and ready to have a fresh start.

Reagan met Pete a little over two years ago. She met him one time, after a traumatic event. Pete showed Reagan kindness, helped her, and she’s never forgotten. She wants to help Pete out, to somehow thank him for what he did for her.

Reagan’s family runs a summer camp for special needs kids. Pete gets the opportunity to help. Since he can sign, he’s an ideal helper. When Pete sees Reagan there, he recognizes her instantly. He’s never forgotten this girl. In fact, he’s had his brothers keep an eye on her while she was locked up. Reagan has trust issues. She doesn’t let people near her, no one can touch her, but there is something about Pete. Something that begs to let him in. For the first time since that one night, she wants a man. She wants Pete. And he’s falling for her. Hard.

"When I finally kiss you, it's going to be because you want to kiss me, Pete, the man, the one who looks at you with wonder in his eyes, the one who is so fucking scared of these brand-new feelings for you that he sometimes can't breathe, the one who is dying to taste you. I have thought about you almost every day since I met you, princess, and I don't want to get you off my mind. But when I kiss you it's going to be because you have a thing for me that's as big as the thing I have for you."

“Does it get more common-feeling after a while? Like your heart stops feeling like it’s going to beat out of your chest after you’ve done it a few thousand times?”

“Not if you’re doing it right.”

I loved Pete and Reagan together. He was kind, patient and understanding with her. She had been through a lot and he got that. Reagan never judged Pete. She knew he made a mistake, but she never looked down on him for it. The two had fantastic chemistry! They just connected with each other. And I loved the way there were able to be there for one another, heal one another.

This is one of those series that will make you laugh, cry, and swoon! A great mix of humor, emotion, and steam! There was a lot of sweet- Pete was the best! Not only was he a sweetheart, but he was sexy to boot! And those brothers are so damn funny! Reagan’s dad had some funny lines as well. My only complaint is that these books seem so short! I always am left wanting more! I’m really excited about the next Reed brother book... will it be Paul? Matt? Sam? I don’t even care! I love them all!

::: FULL REVIEW NOW POSTED ::: 4.5 STARS!! :::

I absolutely LOVED this book!! It was pure romantic escapism! Sexy, swoony, and so well-written, with a gorgeous tattooed hero who is guaranteed to melt your heart!

Pete Reed is big, covered in tattoos and fresh out of jail. You'd think he was a bad boy but he's really a good man with a good heart who made a bad decision and then paid his dues. Now, he's been signed up to work at a camp for kids with special needs (his ability to sign because of his deaf brother being a plus), and that's where he meets her. Again. Raegan is the daughter of the couple running the camp. Two and a half years ago, Pete saved her from her worst nightmare and she's been wanting to thank him ever since...

"You do remember me," she whispers.

"I think about you all the time, wondering what happened that night after you left."

You can totally read this book as a standalone. Technically, it's #3 in the Reed Brothers series (see bottom of post for all the books) but you can either read it on it's own or even start the series with this book then go back and read the first 2 books after. Totally up to you! You don't even need to know anything going into this book but just to make things even more clear, just know that basically, Pete's brother Matt had cancer and as a way to try and get the money for his treatment, Pete got involved with a dealer but was caught and paid the price behind bars. So, this book starts with him getting out of jail.

I seriously LOVE these brothers. Their unquestionable loyalty, camaraderie, and deep-rooted bonds give so much heart to the story. What I love about this series is that it's not just the main couple that is the highlight... all the other relationships (between the friends, brothers, girlfriends, kids etc) are just pure gold in their own right. All the side characters matter and everyone has a story that you're made to care about. And while they're often very deep and heart felt, they can also just be totally hilarious. Like this...

"You need a lesson on the birds and the bees?" Paul asks. "You put tab A into slot B." He makes a crude gesture with his fingers. "Ot tab A into slot C." He grins. "Ot tab A into slot D. But some girls don't like that, so don't start there. You might even save that for a birthday or special occasion. Yours. Not hers."

Teehee!! -- But back to Raegan and Pete... they were absolutely adorable. Ever since that night in college where Pete saved her, she'd kept her distance from men, but even though they hadn't seen each other since that night, they'd never forgotten each other. He was the only guy she felt safe around and even though he knew he had to be careful around her, he felt things for her that he'd never felt before and he wanted her to know how much she meant to him. He'd tease and flirt but never push too far. I loved their dynamic!!!

There's just something about a guy with so much respect not only for women, but for everyone around him, and who can still manage to be a badass that is utterly heart melting. I loved the way Pete was with her. He'd been there at her worst moment and knew the nightmares she was facing. But at the same time, he wanted to bring back the real her that she'd hidden away.

"I want you, Raegan. I want every piece of you."

"Even the shattered pieces?" she asks.

I… pull her face up to mine. "I'll be the glue that puts you back together."

Raegan was pretty awesome too. I loved that even though she'd been though such a horrible experience, she was still strong and learned to defend herself. Haha she even clocked Pete at one point (kind of an accident, don't worry, he wasn't a jerk or anything) but it was pretty funny!

"What happened to your eye?" Paul asks. My eye is still a little blue from when she hit me.

"Raegan hit me," I admit. Logan grins.

"Marry her," Logan says. "Marry her right away."

I also have to give a shout-out to Raegan's parents. They both knew what had happened to their daughter and wanted to keep her safe but were happy to see her find someone she could trust and love. Her mother's understanding and her father's hatchet-wielding protectiveness were totally awesome!

"Have fun?" my mom asks.
I nod in answer to her question. "We were roasting marshmallows."
She quirks an eyebrow at me. "That's what they're calling that now?"

"He seems nice… Even though Dad threatened to chop his nuts off."
"Hey, it works," he says. But he's grinning.
"He was very nice. And I promise not to get pregnant…. Good night!"
"It'd be hard for him to get you pregnant if I chop his nuts off!" Dad yells after me."

I'm positive that at least half my book is highlighted. Quotes on every page had me laughing, swooning, and even tearing up a little. I genuinely loved it all from start-to-finish! If you're looking for a series that is fun and sexy with a whole lot of heart and a group of heroes who will have you swooning, you have to try this!

Rating: 4.5 stars!!

5--Oh So SWEET--Stars!!!

"Because I want you, Reagan. I want every piece of you."
"Even the shattered pieces?"
she asks.
"I'll be the glue that puts you back together," I breathe. "I've been locked up a long time, Reagan," I say.
"I've been locked up even longer than you have, Pete."

Pete:
The youngest Reed brother....made a bad choice trying to help his brother Matt and was sent to prison for two years.

Reagan:
Has been living in her own prison, after bring raped during her freshman year of college.

Pete and Reagan:
Connected by that night. Pete was there when Reagan needed him the most. He was her light in the darkness of evil. Now two years later and Pete is out of prison--he has a second chance at life. Reagan remains in her prison, fearful of others touch...scared to live.

Pete is helping out at a camp for special needs kids, run by Reagan's father. He sees Reagan for the first time since that night. Reagan has always felt connected to Pete after the events of that night, and this is her chance to thank him for everything he did for her.

Pete and Reagan connect. For the first time, Reagan isn't fearful of another man's touch. She wants to explore her feelings for Pete.

Oh Pete...how I loved you. Pete was so sweet and kind and gentle. He was calm and careful. He loved Reagan completely....just the way she needed.

There wasn't a bunch of juvenile drama. This was just a beautiful love story between two people who met under unfortunate circumstances. Who connected over a tragedy. Who both had things to overcome in their pasts.

Every book in this series just gets better and better. I love every single Reed brother and all of the woman that make up their lives. I love that we get to see all of them in every book. I really really hope Matt's book is next....if anyone deserves a HEA, it's Matt!!

Pete & Reagan

 photo PeteandReagan.jpg

Pete's story was a satisfyingly made me want to hug myself and hum a Disney tune 4.25 stars for me.

Reagan and Pete were adorbs. Her back story was definitely a sad one but the solace and comfort that she found in Pete was wonderful. I loved how caring and thoughtful and compassionate Pete was to those he was helping. Reagan's father was awesome-sauce!!! I loved him! I also loved getting to see all the boys back together and messing around with each other along with Emily. This was a really great one and I cannot wait for the rest of the series!!!

"Our first kiss will be the kiss that ends all first kisses for me. I'm sure of it. I just hope she feels the same way."

"I thanked her for protecting you all these years and told her how much I appreciate it...I got you from here on out. I told her I'd take over where she leaves off."

This is the third book in the Reed Brothers series and I never got around to reviewing the first two, so I'll mention some of the things about the whole series that bugs me. Because who wants to read a review about the things I liked? No, I know you don't. Still, keep in mind that I'll probably keep reading the series because sometimes sappy romance is satisfying in a way that a candy bar is - sweet, with no real substance, and you know it's not good for you. Still, who passes up a candy bar? Chumps, that's who.

he never stood a chance around me..

So, the first thing you need to know about this series is that the Reed Brothers have a genetic predisposition to fall in love within days of meeting a girl. The first two books dealt with Logan and Emily, and it took less than 5 days for him to pledge his undying love. And, this was before she would even tell him her real name. Let that be a lesson for you, girls. Guys love a mysterious woman. He doesn't need to know who you are, where you come from, or anything else at all whatsoever about you. If you are pretty enough, you can win his love without all those crazy details, like your first name.

those wedding vows are going to be awkward...

In Logan's book, there were a few other problems, such as the fact he was deaf but he heard her lock a door, and that he said he's never heard music before but he lost his hearing at the age 13. Pretty sure he might have heard some sort of music before. Even if it was Britney Spears, it still counts. Kind of.

In this book, we have Logan's younger brother, Pete, finding the love of his life one day after being released from prison. I'm pretty sure that after 2 years of not seeing any women, he might have thought the senior citizen who worked at the convenience store that he stopped off at on the way home was the love of his life, but luckily he saw Reagan first. And, wouldn't you know it, Reagan just so happens to be the girl that he found after she had been raped at a party years ago. She always considered him her hero and had built him up in her mind for years.

In other words, we have two desperate, messed-up, and completely co-dependent people. The perfect match!! Nothing could ever go wrong there.

looking good! let's plan a wedding!

So, the love stories are unrealistic and have a serious case of insta-love, yet I like the series. Why? Because the Reed Brothers have a great family dynamic that is compelling, fun, and very adorable. I need to see each brother find his love-at-first-sight girl and pretend that they're all going to live happily ever after. It could happen. Really.

or went back to prison. Don't forget the recidivism rate!

Now, on to the book about the brother who has cancer. Sure, that cancer has never been specified, so we have no idea what kind of cancer, nor have we ever gotten a prognosis even when another character asked what the doctor said. "Not good" is an answer. Kind of. I have a crazy suspicion that he may almost die in his book. Let's find out, shall we?

4.5 Mega Love for Pete and The Reed Brothers Stars * * * *

Earlier this year, I found this series... and it captured my heart... read the first two; Tall, Tatted and Tempting https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and Smart, Sexy and Secretive https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and was hooked on the warm, caring and deliciously so... sexy Reed brothers.

The crux of these books is the way Tammy Falkner gives you men... real flesh and blood men of a range of ages which have experienced loss and through this loss... have banded together and created a family unit so strong and devoted to each other... others wish to have this in their lives. They are not the "dream wealthy catch"... they are brothers who have a business, work hard, play hard and at the end of the day believe in doing the right thing.

This story was set up in the last one... Pete was caught during a drug bust...it was the being in a situation, knowing he should not be doing it and when about turn and not participate... he is picked up. He is just coming out of prison... being away for 2 years. His family is there and he is grateful....and nervous... and lost. An opportunity has been presented to him, though... to work for 5 days at a camp for children with special needs. Because he is fluent in sign language and the camp is run by his pro bono attorney... it is there for the taking; if he does this, the judge may consider it and reduce his house arrest. Pete jumps at the chance to shorten his time; he also is curious about the camp as it is a way to help these kids as well as young Juvenile offenders...

What Pete does not know is his pro bono attorney is the dad of Reagan, a gal he helped one night at a party. His care, understanding and way of handling what happened to her...saved her. She has thought about him and learned of his troubles. She had her dad assist his family in their fight for Pete in the courts. Now she will be able to thank him for what he did all those years ago.

What Reagan doesn't know is Pete has never forgotten that broken girl...he had his brothers look out for her... watch from a far and see no harm came to her. Both are connected; both have deep feelings just below the surface and both are in a place where each may be the one to lead each other out of their personal darkness.

This story was so good, I read it into the night...and early morning. The plot worked; the characters... all of them meshed and told a complete story. You felt as if you were a fly on the wall and these things were happening within reach. It was told by Pete's and Reagan's POV and this gave us everything.

The story was not just about them, though... there were real issues; boys who had situations which caused actions to rule their lives... where protecting their sister from sexual abuse had the most severest of consequences...It dealt with teenage boys just wanting to feel like regular kids, whether they were deaf or had a physical disability ... It covered the pain and loss of self... of how sexual assault/rape impacts so much more than the physical...and what it may take to just handle day to day living after.

But the overriding feeling of this book was love... young, pure, knowing-in-your-heart-and-soul-this-is-the-one love....and it was amazing. I ate it up with a spoon and wanted more as soon as the book was done. What is so friggin' fantastic is there is more.... The next installment is right there ... waiting for me to click on it... and people... it is already locked and loaded ready to go.... Here I come Matt... I can hardly wait to see you receive the love you so richly deserve.

Tammy Falkner has done it again. She made me laugh, swoon, tingle and have a blast! I always can count on her sexy, loveable characters to make me speechless.

im

Reagan and Pete’s relationship was out of this world. Beautiful, intense, powerful and real. Just ideal blend of romance, commitment, love and sensuality. I was captivated and mesmerized by those two. I want to share the same they had with someone in the future ;)

It’s not only entertaining and sexy new adult read, nope, this time Falkner’s wrote a beautiful, enchanting and captivating novel about redemption, second chance and true, raw love. I swooned, I cried, I had thousands of butterflies in my stomach.

im

I loved this story! It had everything I admired in previous Falkner’s books and a little bit more! It’s complex, sexy, funny and incredibly swoon worthy. From the first page to the last, Pete and Reagan’s relationship is like perfect romantic tale, about not exactly perfect people. I was in seven heaven while reading it and I highly recommend it to every fan of new adult romance book. If you have not read Tall, Tatted and Tempting, check it out first and dive into the world of Reed’s brothers.

Loved it! Pete comes out of prison and sent to a camp for children with special needs. He meets a girl from his past, Raegan.

I absolutely love this series. I feel like each brother have their own unique story and I loved the teasers into Matt and Paul's stories.

The flirtatious banter between Pete and Raegan were priceless:

Pete: Is my virtue in jeopardy, Miss Caster?

I cant think of anything that I didnt like. It was cute, sweet and sexy with great connection between the main characters. Exactly my type of book x

These Reed Brothers...they've got the swoony, drama-free department locked down. Another satisfying installment in this series. A great, low angst, all heart story with endearing characters, a nice dose of steam and plenty of swoon.

"Even the shattered pieces?"

"I'll be the glue that puts you back together. I've been locked up a long time, Reagan."

Falkner does it again.
These Reed brothers are so damn worthy.
Reagan was fantastic too! Pete - you are one sexy beast.

one of my favorite parts that made me laugh:
He's kind of like a puppy. A puppy that can kill people. Maybe a cocker spaniel. Those always were fucked-up little dogs.
LOL. Not my favorite either Falkner. kudos!!

“You think I need to be loved calmly and carefully,” she says slowly … “You want to know what I think?” … “I think I need to be loved… completely.”

OMG, I love this series! I love these brothers! I want to become a part of this family – and I don’t even care which brother I end up with. I love them all!!!!

4.5 quote-whorey stars

Pete is the youngest of the Reed brothers, and after making one stupid decision (even if it was for the right reasons), he has spent the last two years in prison. As part of his release program, he is asked to work at a camp for kids with special needs, and it is there that he runs into Reagan.

Reagan and Pete met two years ago when he helped her after a vicious attack. The retelling of this scene is absolutely amazing, and Pete blew my mind with how incredible he was! Since that night, neither of them have been able to forget about each other – Pete even asking his brothers to check in on Reagan to make sure she is ok, while Reagan has always thought of Pete as a bit of a hero, and wants nothing more than to see him again to thank him for what he did for her.

From the moment they see each other, they both feel a strong connection to each other, but Raegan has some serious issues stemming from her attack. She doesn’t like to be touched. By anyone. But that doesn’t stop her from feeling drawn to Pete, and it doesn’t stop him from doing his best to try to break down her walls.

“I would give just about anything to kiss you right now,” I say softly. Shit. Did I say that out loud, too?
She smiles, but she still doesn’t look at me. She seems almost… regretful? “I would give just about anything for you not to,” she says quietly.

OMG, this relationship is absolutely SENSATIONAL! From the very beginning they are open and honest about EVERYTHING, and their dialogue is a fantastic mix of banter, teasing, and opening up about the past, and all that they are feeling in the present.

“I’m further gone than you are,” I blurt out. She stops walking and looks me in the eye.
“Gone?” Her green eyes blink slowly.
“Gone. Done. Head over heels. Can’t stop thinking about you. Want to be with you all the time. Can feel you against my skin even when you’re not with me. Gone.”

Pete is absolutely incredible! He’s covered in tattoos, and pierced, and he looks like a total badass. But he’s such a nice guy! Of course he’s a total guy with a dirty mind, a dirty mouth and all of the same urges as any 21 year old, but he’s also respectful and kind with a huge heart, and he is so sweet and gentle with Raegan, he absolutely melted my heart.

“When I finally kiss you, it’s going to be because you want to kiss me, Pete, the man, the one who looks at you with wonder in his eyes, the one who is so fucking scared of these brand-new feelings for you that he sometimes can’t breathe, the one who is dying to taste you. I have thought about you almost every day since I met you, princess, and I don’t want to get you off my mind.” He kisses the tip of my nose quickly and pulls back. “But when I kiss you, it’s going to be because you have a thing for me that’s as big as the thing I have for you.”

And Raegan is just as amazing. The trauma that she carries from her attack has had a massive impact on her life, and I could absolutely understand why she protects herself, but the way that she opens up to Pete and lets herself experience all that he is offering her is absolutely gorgeous! And not only that, but she proves her strength over and over, and I love the way she starts to come out of her shell and take what she wants. And it’s not all gentle tenderness, Pete and Raegan have hormones just like everybody else, and as they find their way forward together and break down Raegan's walls, things get really steamy!

“Was that an orgasm?” she whispers. I imagine she’s smiling against my chest because I can hear it in her voice. She turns her head and hides her face in my shirt.
“A big one,” I say with a laugh. “Fucking huge.”
I am the man. Yes, I am.

I could gush on and on about how much I love these two together, but I’ll just get even more quote-whorey instead…

“I want you, Reagan. I want every piece of you.”
“Even the shattered pieces?” she asks. I bracket her face with my hands and pull her face up to mine. “I’ll be the glue that puts you back together”

“What do you want?” she whispers.
I palm the side of her face and stare at her. She’s so fucking beautiful that I can barely think when I’m this close to her. “I want you to love me back,” I admit.
“Done,” she says …
“You’re inside me, Pete. And I want to keep you there.”

“I love you completely, princess”

Aaaahh! Perfection!

A lot of this book takes place away from the rest of Pete’s family, but they do eventually make it back home and his brothers are all there waiting for him in all of their awesomeness, and the love, banter and ribbing between them was just as epic as I was expecting.

“You need a lesson on the birds and the bees?” Paul asks. “You put tab A into slot B.” He makes a crude gesture with his fingers. “Or tab A into slot C.” He grins. “Or Tab A into slot D. But some girls don’t like that, so don’t start there. You might even save that for a birthday or special occasion. Yours. Not hers.”

There is even a nice set up for Matt’s story up next, I can’t wait for that one!

Oh, and a quick shout out to Raegan’s family – especially her hatchet-wielding father – they absolutely brilliant!

“Dad,” I call out. He stops and looks up at me. “Is it okay that I might be falling in love with him?”
Dad’s eyes open wide, and he blows out a breath. “Reagan,” he says quietly. “You should go and talk to your mother about this.”
“Okay…” I say.
“If you want to talk about the best way to knee him in the nuts,” he says, pointing to his chest, “then I’m your guy. But if you want to talk about feelings and emotions and birth control and stuff, go talk to your mother.”
“How did you just jump from feelings to birth control?” I have to ask.
“Because that’s what happens, Reagan. You jump from strong feelings to birth control. It’s the natural order of things for men.”

I love this book! It’s sweet, it’s funny, it’s romantic, and it’s got a lot of heart. Pete’s and Raegan’s story is completely functional with no angst, and it’s absolutely beautiful from start to finish, I can’t possibly gush enough.

4.5 stars!

Calmly, Carefully, Completely was the third book in Tammy Falkner’s Reed Brothers series.

At the close of book two, Pete Reed, a twin and the youngest of five brothers, had just been arrested. Falkner opened book three with Pete being released from prison after serving two years. As part of his probation, he was offered a job at a camp for special needs and juveniles. It was an interesting mixture.

Reagan Caster was the daughter to an attorney and owner of the Boys Camp. She had a younger brother Linc, that had autism and she was a vital part of the camp.

Falkner took the beginning to introduce us to the present for Pete and Reagan. She also spent some time on the past. They had briefly met before but not under the best of circumstances. I loved both main characters as well as the secondary characters from the camp.

I loved how Falkner wrote and included Special Needs as an integral part of the storyline. I also admired how she portrayed the trauma of assault victims. Unfortunately (fortunately for the writing, unfortunately for the victims), it was likely a realistic perspective.

In the end, it was another successful addition to the series. It was a fast paced read with the storyline a mixture of sweet, humorous, sexy and emotional. I love the Reed Brothers and can’t wait for more.

It's Throwback Thrusday!

Funny, sweet and moving.

This book starts out a bit on the abrasive and heartrending side. But with its very apt title, the story about Reagan and Pete takes us calmly and carefully through a road filled with hope, laughter and happiness leading to complete healing, acceptance and love.

I just can’t get enough of the Reed brothers. They all have different personalities, yet they’re all laid back, funny, perceptive and thoughtful. We get a bit of each in this third installment, but I’ll take Reagan’s words to describe Pete “I can’t help it if you’re made to stare at.”

And Reagan, her past circumstances gave her a vulnerable side, but she’s also strong, honest, straight forward and witty.
“Apparently, my inner goddess is a slut. Yeah, I read Fifty Orgasms.”

There’s also a very touching and important underlying topic encompassed in this book.
“Every woman is someone’s daughter. Someone at home loves her.”

Ok, that's definitely one of my favorite series! I might be in love with ALL the Reed brothers... Logan's story was perfect, and Pete's is exactly the same.
And I CAN'T WAIT for Matt's story! I juste CAN'T

I devoured Calmly, Carefully, Completely. It was so good to be back in the Reed family fold. This book has a very strong family presence, both on Pete's side and Reagan's. I loved it because the unconditional love and support from family members has really influenced both of the main characters. It shows in how they go through life and how they deal with obstacles in their way, even ones as traumatic as what Reagan went through. Pete's incarceration was no picnic either and yet they're both so strong in spite of it all.

Besides the copious amounts of sexiness in this book, the story has a lot of depth. It deals with sensitive issues like rape, imprisonment, autism, MS and other. And it's all done very beautifully and tastefully. It focuses on how to move on from life altering events, put the past behind you, live with what life has dealt you and embrace your life fully. I think everyone handles trauma and their issues differently and it was lovely to read about how Pete and Reagan was overcoming theirs with support from family and friends.

I love Pete and Reagan together. They're so good for each other. When they found love with each other they didn't reject it, instead they embraced it fully. Together they found new reasons to keep on going, to make plans for the future, to not just go through the day but also enjoy it and look forward to tomorrow.

Calmly, Carefully, Completely has a very rich cast of side characters, from the kids at camp to the juvenile delinquents and family members. I loved every single one of them and their stories. Some heartbreaking but nevertheless beautiful. But the ones that really stuck in my mind (besides the Reed brothers, I loved them since the first book) were Reagan's parents. They're the coolest fictional parents ever. Reagan's dad was particularly awesome.

Needless to say, I absolutely loved this book, I love the entire series and I'm hoping for more. I'm especially intrigued by Matt. He's at a very vulnerable stage in his life and I would love to get a look inside, to see just what goes on in his head. Based on the epilogue of Calmly, Carefully, Completely something's definitely brewing where he's concerned. There's more than meets the eye when it comes to Matt and I hope I get a chance to find out what.

"5 Completely Love It Stars!!"

Wow!! I completely love The Reed Brothers!! I completely love the book!! Another great story by Tammy Falkner.

“I want you, Reagan. I want every piece of you.”

“Even the shattered pieces?”

“I’ll be the glue that puts you back together, I’ve been locked up a long time, Reagan.”

“I’ve been locked up even longer than you have, Pete.”

Peter Reed.. The youngest of all the Reed Brothers. Making bad choices in life to help his dying brother and that choices leads him sending to prison.

Two and half years ago.. One unforgettable night happened night happened to Reagan Caster and that time he met Pete.

After two and half years they meet again in a camp farm. Pete helping the special boys and Reagan is the daughter of the camp owner. Reagan living in the dark past while Pete seeking for a second chances in life. They are both connected to each other since that night.

Oh my god I swoon over Pete!! He's so perfect tatted gentleman!! I say up late just to finish the book cause I cant freaking put it down. Seriously I didnt do my assignments last night cause I'm totally hooked up in the story lol.. I totally recommend this series and I cant wait to read more of the Reed brothers. 5-Tatted-Stars
Not only is this book longer than the first two and tackles some pretty big issues, but it is heart-warming, emotional, sexy, and just plain tatted awesomeness.

"You think I need to be loved calmly and carefully,” she says slowly.
You want to know what I think?”
“I think I need to be loved…completely.”

The Plot
Pete gets a story. I know I've been curious about what's been happening with him, thanks to the last book. He also gets a kick-ass, strong heroine named Reagan (And yes, she punches him in the nose!). Reagan had a horrible experience years back, and Pete happen to be the guy that comes along to help her -- becoming hero status in her mind. So when Pete begins working at the same camp that Reagan's family own, sparks cannot be stopped.

“He says if you ever meet a girl who punches you in the face when you deserve it, you should marry her.”

All the boys better get decked at least once in the next few books. It feels like a tradition now. Love a fierce heroine.

The Characters
Pete may be the youngest Reed, but he's not lacking in the standard "bad boy" department. Tall, tatted, experienced, pierced, and sexy, Reagan should probably run in the other direction (her Dad sure wants her too). But Pete is more than that, and one of the few people that tough, calloused Reagan actually trusts.

And of course, it wouldn't be a Reed book without an appearance from all the brothers. Love their bickering, wrestling, general manliness (including guy talk), but I ultimate love how they trust each other and are a strong family unit.

Thoughts
Loved seeing Pete and Reagan interact. Pete was so patient and charming, and he won me 10x over. It was nice seeing Pete's story since we only caught glimpses of him in the first two books. My only complaint would be -- not enough Sam. I feel like I have a good handle on all the other brothers, but the only thing I know about Sam is that he likes to bake. Since this is Pete's book, I wanted to get more of an insider look at Sam. The scenes with Pete and Sam were fabulous though.

Growth: Seeing Pete learn his strengths, and work with the camp boys was a high favorite. But also, seeing Reagan work through her different issues and begin to liberate herself was moving.

And of course all of Paul's words of wisdom:
“Life’s not about the moments of pleasure you, yourself, can experience. It’s about the pleasurable moments you share with someone else that really matter.”

This is my favorite from The Reed Brothers series so far. Highly Recommend. And after that epilogue...I hope the next book (hopefully Matt's story) hits the shelf soon.

Pete made a mistake a few years ago, but that mistake came out of desperation, an attempt to give his brother a chance. Now he’s ready to leave jail and return to his brothers, but before he heads home – he’s offered a chance to volunteer at a camp for kids with special needs. But what Pete didn’t know is that the girl he saved all those years ago will be there.

Reagan stopped trusting men that night. She has built a wall around her heart and no one has been able to break through, yet. But Pete is different. He found her that night. He showed her kindness and that feeling of safety in his arms is something that she hasn’t been able to forget. Now she gets her chance to thank him in person. But she never expected that he’d be the one person she was willing to let go for.

This was one of those romances that was just so freaking sweet. With the added drama of the events of Reagan and Pete’s past, watching these two interact in the early days was so enjoyable. I instantly loved these two characters! This was my first read of the Reed Brother series and Instantly one-clicked the prior books in the series, wanting to get to know each of the brothers.

I loved the interaction between Pete and Reagan – the way he held back a little then decided to go in a bit harder knowing that she needed to be pushed just a bit; but always using caution. Watching Reagan allow herself to embrace how she felt and realizing that she was ready to open herself up to trust again. The addition of the kids at the camp was another great addition to this story. Interactions with Edward and Gonzo gave Pete additional depth as a character as well.

If you love a great romance story with two characters that still carry strength after being broken, pick this one up!

5 heartwarming stars

Calmly, Carefully, Completely is the 3rd book following the Reed brothers. This book is Pete's story.

Pete is released from prison and ready for a new beginning. He decides to take his atttorney's offer to work at a summer camp for kids with special needs. Since Pete knows sign language, it is a perfect fit.

At camp, he recognizes Reagan Caster. A girl that he helped before going to prison and the one girl Pete connot forget about. Reagan wants to thank Pete for his kindess during a traumatic event that happend two years ago. Reagan has physically recovered from that night, but mentally, she is struggling. Unable to let anybody get close to her or even touch her is near impossible. It's not until she reconnects with Pete that she slowly, but surely allows herself to start healing. At first, Reagan is afraid of her feelings towards Pete. He understand that she is scared and is willing to take things slowly and that is exactly what Reagan needs.

I cannot wait until the next book which, I belive, is Matt's story

I really enjoy these stories. There's a lot of meat to them, not just the typical NA angst. They deal with some very flawed characters My biggest problem with them seems to be the lack of depth for anything outside of this particular story. Case in point, this heroine...does she have a job, is she still in school, and if so, what's her major? Does she have any hobbies? Any friends? Who IS she? There's almost nothing going on with her except the night she and Pete met and her current predicament. So even by the end of the book, I didn't feel like I really knew her at all. I love the Reed family though. I love that each story surrounds this broken family and just keeps adding members and adding strength.

4.5 SUPER CUTE STARS

Calmly, Carefully, Completely was a SUPER CUTE read!

Its Pete story, so we know he’s coming out of jail and he has to go to camp for mis-guided youths in order to get his parole reduce a bit. Regan meet Pete 2.5 years ago at a party and helps her out. Ever since then, she’s had her dad help Pete get out of jail. She also helps her dad at the camp so she can thank Pete for helping her.

Review

I love the storyline. I will be honest and I wasn’t overly joyed for Pete’s story, the guy got locked up! I know he did it for the greater good for the family, but seriously?! Anyhow, I thought this one was going to be filled with angst and Pete brooding over his jail time and be bitter because his twin didn’t get caught, but oh no, it was nothing like that and it was just wonderful!

I LOVED Regan. She is strong, sweet, kind of skittish, but totally the damsel in distress I kind of love. You understand her emotions and you want Pete to be the one that fixes her. I also like how she can be strong and scared at the same time.

I’m all about the storyline, having the book set around a camp is totally cute and I loved reading about the main characters interacting with the other kids. It’s such a unique backdrop and I like how there aren’t any school or work obligations, the story was just focused only on Pete and Regan.

There is some tension with Regan’s over protective dad, but it adds a nice little obstacle. What I love most about Falkner’s reads is how she creates nice sexual tension. She teases you on the border, but to me, it’s just the right pace to drive you nuts and happy at the same time.

It’s a great series so far.

This is Pete & Reagan's story.....

When we left book #2 Pete had gotten into some trouble. Book #3 picks up with Pete in prison 2 years later. He is being released to house arrest if he agrees to go help for 5 days at a camp where Kids with special needs will need his signing ability.

What Pete does not know is that his lawyer Bob Caster is Reagan's dad. He also does not know that Reagan came to look for him after there 1st encounter with one another. It was a terrible 1st meeting that is for sure.

Reagan was raped a little over 2 years ago at a frat party. She was in a ball in the corner of the bathroom when Pete went in to use the restroom. He found her curled in the corner with ripped panties and blood running down her thighs. He tried to help her as best as he could. He gave her his hoodie to cover her ripped top and helped her get her skirt back on correctly and fixed her panties as best he could. Pete has never forgotten this girl. When Pete went to prison he asked his brothers to look her up and to make sure she was ok. Reagan left the party that night with her friend and would not let Pete go with her.

Reagan looked up Pete after her ordeal was put to rest and found out he was in prison. Reagan begged her father to take on his case and help him get out with less time.

Now Pete is at the Kids camp which takes place at Reagan's dad's house and he sees her again for the first time. Reagan is super guarded and no one can touch her with out her going ninja on them. Her dad is the only male able to touch her without her flinching, even 2 years later.

Reagan and Pete speak about the night that they met and that Reagan kept her eye out for him. Their friendship blossoms. It is a very beautiful story of a girl trying to overcome her fears and a boy trying to obtain a future he deserves. Their friendship grows like weeds and within 2 days they have massive feelings for one another. Pete leaves at the end of the week to go back to NYC with his brothers and Reagan decides to go with him since she has to get back to school in another week anyway.

Their relationship and feelings get more intense and Reagan wants to be a normal girl who can be touched and loved. Pete does not want to hurt Reagan and soon they have to have a conversation about that very thing. They are both scared to go forward but they are scared together.

Matt is as always a beautiful soul and his role in this story is know different. Right away Matt and Reagan hit it off and became fast friends. Reagan already loves all of the Reed brothers and everyone they consider their family with includes Emily and Friday.

Excited for the next book in the series which will focus on Matt.

Happy Reading!

Another 5 stars for Tammy Falkner

I loved reading Pete's story. The dual POV in the story gives you prospective into what he has gone through. Reagan is a breath of fresh air. She has been through a terrible ordeal but finds strength and works past it. It is beautiful reading how they come together. You also get bits and pieces of all the other Reed brother's. Can't wait for more.

Words can't even describe how much I loved this book, so I'm not even gonna try. I absolutely LOVED it. Enough said.

Also, Pete is so freaking hot. Like all the Reed brothers, but still. Hot hot hot.

There, now I'm done and off to the next book in this series! Yay me.

I don't think this book will be everyone's cup-o-tea, but I loved Pete, I loved Reagan, and I loved what the book stood for. How they meet was absolutely sad, but the out come was bitter sweet.
