In the third installment of the bestselling Day After Never series, Lucas and Sierra must prepare themselves for the ultimate showdown with a ruthlessly brutal enemy. In a winner-takes-all climax, the forces of light face off against those of darkness in an epic saga that will leave readers breathless.
Day After Never - Covenant is the best of the series. I didn’t think it could get better, but it did, with lots of twists and turns, and an epic battle that takes fight scenes to a whole new level. Can't wait to read the last book and see how it ends.
Even though I've read all three of these so far and loved them all, I'm done. Over them. The notes at the end of book 3 say that the finale will be Book Four (and that plot sounded meh). As of now, Book SEVEN is scheduled to release, and according to the notes it's still not the last book.
Increasingly, fans are saying enough already. Having read the synopses of 4-7, I'm just not on board. This seems like a good time for me to get off the ride.
The third book in this series was even better than the first two. Great action and drama. Even though there are now eight books in the series, I think it was originally written as a trilogy - so the saga felt complete, yet I like the characters enough to want to read more of their adventures. I love its feel of an old-time Western set in post-apocalyptic times. Enjoying these stories. Easy five stars!
Lucas finally gets Sierra and Eve to Shangri La only to have The Crew mount an attack against them. Will The Crew be able to make the trek across Texas into New Mexico and through the Apache territory with their dilapidated vehicles? Can a peaceful village of 200 available fighters survive an attack by 1,000 hard core killers? Mistakes by either side will be deadly.
Blake’s third installment of The Day After Never series, Covenant, is by far the most action packed. Sierra continues to be an enigma and acts without thinking. Secondary characters are more fully developed in this book which tends to make the story more well-rounded. The first half of the story builds up to a fact paced second half where most of the action happens.
Great transition novel. This series continues to get better and better.
Loving this series. Most of the characters are good and I always want to know more about Lucas. The only stupid thing he does is being interested in Sierra. I can’t stand her. She does everything exactly opposite of how she should. She causes so many problems for Lucas and the others. They should let the Crew have her.
Annoyed by some of the characters’ inexperienced opinions being allowed to cause the deaths of good people but I guess it ads to the realism. Some people will not be able to conceive of the evil that will gain power in a world like this. Sympathetic and likable main characters, good conflict and action keep me reading.
Lots of twist and turns, excitement and fear Relationships come and go and maybe come again-maybe? I love these tales of unknown what is next, at a time no one has lived through before Yet with all the adventures, good and bad, I really can enjoy them because there is no bad language
It's a captivating novel that keeps readers eagerly turning pages, unable to put the book down due to its compelling narrative and engaging storyline. The text suggests an exciting and immersive reading experience that draws readers in from the very first page.
Blake is a master storyteller and he weaves this one right into the master picture he is creating so well! For me, this being a Western brings me back to my roots. I read tons of books as a child about the Pioneers, the early days of America and the Frontiersmen who tamed it. So I’m enjoying this immensely!
The hero Lucas is perfect. A macho male, tough as nails a d always ready to do the right thing. Although very naive withe women who constantly take advantage and play him. What was supposed to be a two volume series turned into three so the author could “wrap thins up and address open items”. Not true. Volume 10 of 11 just got promoted me. So sad to see the bait and switch is still alive.
'The Day After Never' has been a terrific series, but 'Covenant' rises above the other books, as good as they are. It's pure adrenaline from the first page to the last- it barely lets the reader take a breath.
Rollercoaster ride. Lots of ups and downs keeping you riveted to the page to see what happens next. I can imagine in my mind what the characters look like and can picture the scenes.
I spent the entire day reading cus I just couldn't put this book down. Excellent reading. I've already bought the sequel! I fully reccomend this serie. Really good entertaining.
The 4 book series has me hooked. Lots of good conspiracy theories thrown in with old fashioned gun fights, intrigue and bit of romance. A little too gory at times, though, but an enjoyable plot with relatable characters.
The previous books had characters that weaved in and out of the story but this one had many more characters and it was difficult to keep them all straight. In the end, good conquered evil and that is something we see way to little.
I'm a real fan of ongoing series. It such a great opportunity to. really get to know that characters and become invested in their lives. So happy when the ones I'm most fond of survive an ordeal. Thank you for another great addition. Can't wait to start #4
You won’t regret reading this series. It is so well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat! It is absolutely thrilling and you will fall in love with the characters
Chased by the Crew, Lucas, Sierra, Ruby, and Eve make their way to Shangri La, the near mythical hidden valley where civilization remains. This is an exciting book with some great action set pieces and a satisfying final battle between the forces of good (mostly) and evil. Highly recommended.
I read the first two and like them. This one was so boring. There was an idiotic romance, a stupid kid, not enough fighting etc. I may not continue with the series.
Fitting end to Magnus and his ragtag convoy of killers. Love this series and the details of the Mexican cartels and just how far and fast civilization has fell.
