Serenity Chase is used to fighting creatures not of our world.

Serenity Chase is just a young high school student wanting to be normal, but she's far from it. She's SYN- a guardian of the gate between dimensions and when someone, or something, crosses over, it's her job to get it back where it belongs. Even if it's a ginormous dragon. And one of my favorite parts is how she knows something's crossed the barrier—it gets burned into her skin...like a tattoo. The Syns look like bad-a's with their swords and body covering tats, but Seren just wants to be normal. She doesn't want anyone to see them.
And she wants to fall in love. Luckily Matt gives her that chance.
LOVE this book.
