Game of Thrones: A Family History Volume II

Rate this book
Read Game of A Family History Volume II on your PC, Mac, smart phone, table, ipad or Kindle device.

This work is the second volume in a series of house histories and cultural profile of those seen in A Song of Ice and Fire and popularized in HBO’s global hit television series Game of Thrones. Volume two explores some of the major players in Game of Thrones. This particular volume covers the history of several familial noble houses; including the Baratheon, Martell, Greyjoy, Tyrell, Seaworth, and Arryns. Moreover, it delves into the enigmatic assassin cult of the Faceless Men, as well as covering a fan favourite by discussing the culture of the Dothraki horse lords. It is written in a concise and well researched manner, with short and easy to read essays which spell out the high points and areas of importance for each house or culture. Without getting into the weeds of the expansive world in Game of Thrones, it gives the reader a quick reference guide to the all houses they have come to love and hate. Whether one reads the original novels, watches the television series, or indeed indulges both, this volume of house histories, along with the others, are great additions to a Game of Thrones junky’s library.

A brief history of Houses Arryn, Bolton, Greyjoy, Martel, Seaworth, and the House of Black and White (according to the book series not the show)

Good information, typos are a bit irritating.

This short book contains quite a bit good information about some of the most important families and their background but as with the previous book, has a large number of typos.

I need to start over.

Great reading I now see there was a lot missed. I want to start the HBO series over.

Good read

Good read for those new to Game of Thrones. Equally interesting and informative for those more familiar with the series.
