Spanish

I'm using these books to learn Spanish. Books are easy to follow and the pictures help with an overview of what's going on.

Not only did it look like a fun read,
it looked like an interesting read.
The book starts out with a little boy exploring his imagination!
As the book goes on, the little boy explores all things a dragon can do.
Ron clearly is not a little boy anymore.
He can only do things big powerful dragons would do.
Ron tells his father over and over what he is going to do,
because he is 'a big scary dragon'.
Ron's dad plays along for a bit,
but there comes that point that all parents have...
and he reaches his limit.
Ron's dad has a secret...
Dragon-Dad appears!
Dragon-Dad is three times bigger than Dragon-Kid.
Ron had to think for a moment,
but it was clear,
there would be no more Dragon-Kid,
because being rude, mean, and scary is fun.
Ron learned a valuable lesson,
and in the end, he cherishes his love for his dad the most.
Candice's Review:
There are not many "father-focused" books out there!
This is exactly my husband.
He will play along, and go with the flow,
but sometimes children like to push those buttons farther,
and that is where a daddy needs to draw the line.
I loved how Sigal wrote Ron's lines,
and how she drew in dad's frustration.
And in the end, how the love Ron felt,
and the memories he remembered
overshadowed all else.
Sometimes being a dragon is fun,
but being a respectful dragon is important.
High five stars for Family Morals,
Educational Value, Creativity, and Imagination.

Five stars for the illustrator as well.
Each picture is bright, descriptive,
and fits to the story perfectly.

I'm a Dragon by Sigal Adler was creative, captivating, but confusing at the end.

I read this ebook to my children (6, 9, and 10). We didn't know what to expect from the title, except that a child was going to transform himself into a dragon. Little did we know that this boy's behavior would make him a "dragon-kid."

My children enjoyed the rhyming and illustrations. Although some words were a little advanced for my younger readers, with a bit of discussion, we were all able to infer from the text what specific words meant. The story kept my children's attention, and they grasped the lesson immediately.

The children were surprised at the dad's response to the dragon-kid's behavior. I was too. It appeared that the dad let his anger out and "blew up" at his child. Although having dad transform into "dragon-dad" was a creative ending, it gave us the initial impression that it's okay for parents to retaliate when their children disobey, or that it's okay to treat others in the same way they treat us. Again, this sparked some discussion among us, which was good.

Overall, we enjoyed the book and would recommend it to other families with young children. But we would also encourage discussion, especially about the ending.

I liked this book but like some other reviewers think this book definitely needs discussion when read to children.

A little boy, looking for an excuse to do what he wants instead of what his father says, "turns" himself into a dragon and behaves very badly. Dad does solve the problem but not in a mature acceptable way. We all loose our tempers, even dad's, but that does not make it right.

It is not ok for parents to loose their temper and become out of control and yell at their children. We all do it, but it is not ok. When I get angry with my children and loose my temper I have to go back and apologize. I may have been provoked and had enough of the children's behavior but that is no excuse to loose it myself. I am glad the father dealt with the son's bad behavior and this book does give you an opportunity to show the lessons of disobedience but also the lesson that parents are not perfect either. The ending is good and the "little dragon" learns that he prefers his dad the way he was before the little boy was disobedient and learns that Dad's are the ones in charge and that children should do as they are told.

One morning young Ron decides he wants to be a dragon instead of a kid. So Ron declares that as a dragon he can choose to eat pizza and ice cream instead of cereal for breakfast. As the day goes on, Ron refuses to pick up his toys and becomes rude and disobedient until Dad loses patience and decides to turn the tables on his son. The boy decides that having a dragon dad is no fun; maybe it is not such a bad idea to be a kid after all!

The book is written in catchy rhymes, and the brightly colored expressive illustrations allow younger readers to follow the story without reading the text. Book makes a good read aloud or bedtime story. Highly recommended for preschoolers and the early elementary grades.

This review is from: Children Books:I'M A DRAGON(rhymes & nursery-comic)(manners)(preschool children books collection)(Values eBook)(Action Adventure)(funny)(FREE Animal Audio)(Educational ... Beginner Readers Children's eBooks Book 1) (Kindle Edition)

I'm A Dragon by author Sigal Adler was wonderfully crafted, edited and illustrated.

This story showed the patience's of a "dad" and how he tolerated his child's decision to become a "reckless child" for a few hours. The dad indulged his son until he had enough.

I mean this story really was a big hit.
The illustrations was powerful, creative and awesome.

Excellent job to Sigal Adler.
