3 1/2 stars Not that this wasn't good, but I just couldn't relate to it. As Aimee was flying to Logan's place in the Hamptons, I just kept thinking that she was going to be part of a human trafficking ring or something sinister like that. I would've never flown off with a man I knew for an hour even with my best friend accompanying me. There were some hot scenes between A/L, but I just didn't feel a true connection. Aimee kept stating that something was off, so I guess I felt the same. On to part 2 since this is a cliffhanger and I'm eager to find out more about Mara.

I love, love, love Casual: Part 1. Kelly Harper is the queen of writing novellas where she hooks you from the very beginning and then leaves you with the most unexpected cliffhanger ever!
Because this is a novella I can't say much without giving anything away. But I'll introduce you to the two main characters. (The characters are well developed for being in such a short book...she continues to unveil their personalities as each novella is introduced.)
Logan Atwood has the looks of a masculine male model. He's stunning but arrogant. At least that's how he first comes off when he meets Aimee Watson. Aimee is a confident woman who has a good job in marketing for a company in New York. When Aimee asks what Logan does for a living he evades the question.
The two hit it off and the sparks are flying. The next thing you know Aimee and one of her friends have agreed to fly by helicopter out to the Hamptons with Logan and his friend and colleague, Collin.
Doing something crazy like this is so not Aimee's style but due to some mysterious past relationship she decides to go for it and her friend Bre is all in. (Bre is a little/lot on the wild side.)
Once at the mansion both women are astounded at the size and elegance of the mansion. Oh they try to play it cool but it's hard to do when you're in a utopia manor.
All of the action takes place here at the mansion so I won't go into details. But the weekend is going extremely well to put it mildly until....well until it suddenly isn't! And that's where we're left hanging! I cannot wait for part 2!
I have to be honest. I wish Ms. Harper would write her novella series as a one book stand-alone. I don't like series and will seldom buy them until all of the books are out. But since I was given a copy of this book for an honest review, and I love Kelly Harper's writing, I just had to read it as soon as I got my hands on it!
I highly recommend Casual: Part 1 and I can't wait for Part 2!

Oh my Kelly has done it again! This is the start of another great series! Aimee is out with her girlfriends when Logan walks by and they basically eye fu*k each other. The chemistry between these two is explosive! He suggests that they take a trip via helicopter to his place in the Hamptons. Aimee gets her girlfriend to come along. Logan brings Collin along for Bree. They are having a good time with each other before...dare I say a cliffhanger! OMG! I can't wait to find out how Logan gets himself out of this one!

I am already hooked! Aimee and Logan meet at a bar where Aimee was trying to get over her ex. There's instant chemistry between them. They both banter back-and-forth and seem to give as good as they get. Logan boldly invites
Aimee and a friend to his mansion in the Hamptons for the weekend. She needs to get over her ex and decided to take a chance with this unbelievably rich and sexy man. Some serious hotness happen this weekend, but what happens at the end just put out the flame. This book ends with one heck of a cliffhanger that has me wanting part 2 now!!

And you did it again Kelly. You've capture me yet again with your books. I didn't like the cliffhanger ending though... Why do you torture me so!!! Thanks for the ARC. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see what's next.

Casual by Kelly Harper is an amazing read. It hooks you from the beginning and takes you on a wild ride and leaves you wanting more! I can’t wait for the next book!!!

I received this Arc in exchange of my honest review.
It's not the first time reading a book by Kelly Harper. I love her writing a lot. These hot stories make my day every time.
And Casual is no exception. It's sexy and interesting. And it got to me immediately. The characters have great chemistry and I really enjoyed reading it.
