⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Seducing Virtue, book 3 of 3. The conclusion to Keaton’s quest for the truth after surviving a cult, unspeakable crimes, abuse & conspiracy!

“You’ve obscured obsession with love.”

Books in Wicked Trinity series should be read in order:
Book 1: The Sect
Book 2: The Rebirth of Sin
Book 3: Seducing Virtue

In The Wicked Trinity, book 1-2 heiress and socialite on the run, Keaton Mara, Princess aka Mute. ended up at The House of Rebirth a depraved cult where she was coerced into sexual submission by the sinister Reven aka Shiloh Oliver and his volatile right hand man Noah Oliver.

When the cult was broken up Keaton and its surviving members struggled to adjust to real life. The game was far from over with Keaton getting caught between two men. In what appeared to be a struggle between good versus evil Keaton had to decide if lust or love should rule her heart.

Seducing Virtue, book 3 is the dark and shocking conclusion to Keaton’s story. Along the way, she has faced betrayal, violence, manipulation, conspiracy, deception, abuse and murder, but it has also been a journey of forgiveness, coping with painful pasts and finding her strength. Yet nothing could have prepared her for her final battle.

Seducing Virtue, told from multiple POVs, is one of the darkest stories I have ever read. It’s a gritty, violent, shocking, cryptic and at times hopeless mindfuck where Keaton must decide who to trust, what to believe, who to forgive and who to love.

“I’m sorry for all I’ve put you through, but this isn’t your battle. It’s mine.”

It has been a while since I read something as messed up as 'Seducing Virtue'. This was just the dark, twisted and shocking story that my depraved mind needed. Christ on a cracker! Courtney Lane always messes with my head. She has one disturbing imagination...and I love it!

This is the third book in the 'Wicked Trinity' series and the books must be read in order. In fact, this series is so multifaceted and complex that I found myself having to go back and re-read many parts of books one and two in order to make sense of certain events. It was absolutely no bother though, because this series is that good!

If you have already read the first two books, then it goes without saying that this is one dark and twisted series. It is brutal, gritty, gory and offensive. If you can't handle a really dark read with very disturbing content, then you probably wouldn't have made it this far in the series. Ms. Lane does not hold back when it comes to the dark content and I applaud her for that.

This book picks up with Keaton back at her parents after recently escaping Noah. She's still shocked at the revelation of Braeden's true identity, but inexplicably drawn to him nonetheless. She's kind of in limbo, trying to do what she knows is logical while wanting to do something that is absolutely crazy but feels so good.

The beginning of this book seemed a little slow to me. However, once it got going it really took off. Buckle up, because you're in for one hell of a twisted ride!

There were so many twists and turns along the way that I had to clarify and reorient myself more than once. If you're like me and it has been a while since you read the first two books, you'll want to have them handy to reference. There were so many intricate details that I had to go back a few times to remind myself where different things had left off.

The layers of deception seemed never-ending. Every time that I thought I knew where the story was headed, something else would happen and I find myself going in another direction entirely. It was definitely a mind-f*@k!

Throughout the book, Keaton and Braeden had a strong push/pull relationship. The two could seem to be together or stay apart. There were many things about their relationship that had me scratching my head. Yet, I wanted them to get the HEA in spite of Braeden's horrible crimes.

Noah also spoke to me. He definitely isn't a character that is easy to like, but deep down, I think he loved Keaton in his own messed up way. These two guys are perhaps two of the most damaged characters that I've ever encountered. I'd love to hate them, and sometimes I did, but mostly, I felt sad for them.

Eventually, everything does work out for the best. Of course, that is a matter of opinion. This book has the type of ending that will have many readers wanting to pull their hair out, but for me, it was perfect. I couldn't have dreamt up a more fitting conclusion to this series.

If you love a dark, disturbing story that pushes your boundaries this is a good one. I love the dark stuff and there were times I felt an urge to rock myself in a corner. Be forewarned. If that appeals to you, like it does to me, you don't want to miss this series.

Genre: Erotic Thriller/Suspense
Type: Book 3 of 3 from Wicked Trinity series
POV: First Person - Multiple
Rating:

Keaton Mara was still reeling by the revelation of the man she thought she knew. Trying to move on with her life proved to be hard when her heart still desired for the one who betrayed her. With a new power emerging and threats looming, she couldn't afford to lose more than she already did.

I barely recognized the woman looking back at me because she wanted someone she should never have desired.

I have to say, I don't envy Keaton at all with all the things she had to endure. She was a strong person (albeit unwise), braving the decisions she made.

“You can ask anything of me and I’ll do it. Letting you go is the one thing I can’t do.”

I had conflicting allegiance to the two men (which I won't elaborate to avoid series spoiler) in her life. My conscience felt sorry for one while not necessarily accepted the other. But my dark side actually root for both of them :p

The first half of the book was a little slow for me. There were too much talking and not enough actions for my preference. But as it progress, they play on loyalty and honesty kept the story engaging. I like how it ended – as in the sentiment.

"This…” I paused to allow him to chew over my words. “…is about redemption. This is about the power of forgiveness.

Seducing Virtue is the conclusion to the dark and deceitful Wicked Trinity series. The series would appeal to readers looking for a sexy (and sometimes disturbing) thrill ride.

P.S.:
I’ve always believe I could lead a cult. Not as the face, but as the mind. Like a certain someone… lol!

4.5* be together STARS!!

description

Believe me, I'm taken by surprise by the fact of Braedan Michaels. He was introduced as a new philanthropist also Keaton's mother political supporter. I already had the feeling that Braedan is a too-good-to-be-true kind of person who appear out of nowhere; helping Keaton behind the shadows. This time, Braedan is gonna end up the game and redeem himself.

Braedan is trying to assure her that Noah will pay for everything he has done but Keaton couldn't stop torturing herself. Noah already ruined her with lies when she learned another layers of truth from Braedan. Keaton distanced herself from Braedan after learn his real identity. But Braedan wouldn't stop to convince her that she supposed to be with him; not Noah.
“... I know deep down I’m not in the position to let go of you. Your darkness has become the most beautiful and alluring thing I’ve ever touched.” ~Braedan

The story told mostly from Braedan and Keaton's POV also there's Noah. There's so much happened back in the cult behind all Noah's lies after all this time. We all believe that Noah is the superheroe but the truth is, he's the real devil and the super-villain in this story. I have the biggest trust issue. Even after Braedan confessed all his sins to Keaton, I still couldn't shake the uneasy feeling.
I lived my life in a comfortably claustrophobic canyon overfilling with darkness. The exit was devoid of any illuminance. With her, my surroundings were beginning to lighten. I was beginning to see the bright path to the exit and felt guilty over knowing it was within my reach. ~Braedan

Half of the story went slow with Braedan's trying to woo Keaton's back. They're trying to re-connect. Keaton isn't easily convince with him but his acts really melted her heart. Braedan always be there for her. He also shared his plan to end Noah but Keaton is still naive as ever and it annoyed me.

Noah became relentless and more dangerous. I still couldn't understand his obsession towards Keaton. What is it that makes her so special? Her strong-willed that Noah couldn't ever break. Noah already wrapped up in his own madness with the idea of a new cult. He's the true maniac.

Braedan is also un-wrapping another layers of his past. The opposite of Noah's story. The suspense is really killing me. The story is gripping me so hard that I couldn't put this down. Also the ending I wouldn't see it coming. Well-written with twist after twist. Overall, I'm satisfied with the ending for both Keaton and Braedan. It feels like they already destinies with each other in twisted way.

What. The. Actual. Hell. I don't know why I'm surprised at my reaction to the "Queen of mindf*ck" and her writing. I should be used to feeling "SLAYED" after reading her work. That fetal position, thumb sucking, completely annihilated feeling is the normal reaction after consuming Lane's work. Lane is indeed QUEEN!

Seducing Virtue is the latest book, the conclusion of the Trinity Trilogy. Keaton evolves into the woman she was meant to be! My heart goes out to her dad, though. He's suffering so terribly as he continues to blame himself for Keaton's kidnapping. The first half of the book I was so afraid for him....kudos to Lane for nailing the emotions of a guilty father....I'm convinced Noah was dropped on his head as a child. If I say more, I'll probably spoil it for you. I will say his psycho ass made for great reading!

If you haven't put it all together yet, this story is dark. Dark and DELISH! Before you can marinate in this literary goodness, you must read the previous two books. No worries though....from page 1 of book 1 to the final word in book 3, Lane's characters are messing with your mind and reality so effortlessly, you won't know a moment's peace until you're done!!!

Do we have a five bazillion star button????!!!!

2.5 stars. I really enjoyed the first two books but this one left me scratching my head a bit. While I liked braedan I still felt he was beta to Noah's alpha. I was sort of hoping Noah would rein in his crazy a bit and win Keaton back. The ending was just so unsatisfactory for me. I don't know how I wanted it to end but it wasn't like that. I do love Courtney Lanes book and i am hoping her next one will work better for me.

**Spoiler Free**

I cannot commend or praise Courtney Lane’s books to adequately reflect their brilliance. The way she subconsciously plays with your mind while addressing fascinating subjects that exist in the centermost hub of her twisted characters. It showcases her aptitude and excellence as an author. I revel in the insanity of her characters.

Seducing Virtue is the conclusion to The Wicked Trinity Series , and it is a doozie. It features and provides the reader with lies, seduction, atrocities, and murder.

There is something appealing and charming about Braeden. His appearance is one of a protector and champion. But underneath he is a predator with distorted beliefs that were nurtured from an early age.

The predator was at the surface and he wanted to come out to play. He wanted to punish her for making me this way—for consuming me and making me fall for her so deeply I couldn’t stand to be in my own body.

Noah embodies characteristics of a cult - manipulation, abusiveness and control. He influences his deviant beliefs and practices onto those close to him. He wants Keaton back for narcissistic intentions and will stop at nothing to fulfill his vocation.

Anyone who stood in the way of me gaining what I was owed wasn’t innocent—they were the devil’s messengers.

Although Keaton tries to move forward in her life, her perception of both men are misguided and distorted. Her denial could cost her her life, but at whose hands?

"Because I don’t fit into your monochrome picture of normal? I’ll never be the lamb who idly lies down for the slaughter. I am the fucking butcher, princess."

Each man vies to possess Keaton. Who will be the conqueror and succeed in seducing Keaton?

“The man you’ve been fucking has been deemed a Judas. When I find him, I’ll break him before your very eyes and gift him with a very slow and very brutal death. You won’t be able to spread your thighs for him ever again.” A chortle chilled me to the core. “In case you’re wondering about what I’ll do to you, here’s a hint: you’ll be punished, and then you’ll find out exactly what my preferred fucking style is.”

All the twisted truths are finally on the table, or are they? Don’t get too comfortable as Ms. Lane never allows you to read all her cards until she chooses for you to see them. Seducing Virtue surpasses the reader’s expectations on the conclusion of The Wicked Trinity Series. If you haven’t read it, I suggest you do, you will not be disappointed.

4 conflicted stars! I loved it. I hated it. I am still reeling from all the lies and manipulation, and am not sure I yet understand all the layers. I cannot begin to comprehend Keaton's choices and actions, and continuously wanted to smack the crap out of her, but then I remind myself this is fiction. It is supposed to take me away from real life, which it definitely did. This story was messed up...a total mind fuck. I was horrified and disgusted for so much of it. I rooted for a monster to be redeemed!!! I was almost in tears toward the end, when I didn't think I would get the ending I shouldn't have even wanted. I question my sanity that I liked the story as much I did. Don't judge me!!!

What a book! Mastermind, all winners but the biggest winner was the author to pull this story and moreover 3 books, each on a continuity but at every corner a darker and a brighter one.
I took my time reading this one due to my schedule but this one was quite difficult to read, it was so well written, so many aspects, plots that couldn't be ignore.
it was just wow!!
My review is just but what else could I say more than I really enjoyed this book and the other 2.

Seducing Virtue the 3rd instalment in the Wicked Trinity series and starts off exactly where book 2 finishes with Keaton trying to get on with her life. Trying to be normal or as normal has one can be after the horrors in which she had to endure.
With a new man in her life, The House of Rebirth is still never far from her waking moments. Still always looking over her shoulder and living with unease.

The story is disturbingly dark, raw and full of unquestionable horrors. All of my questions were answered from through out the series and the ending, well who would of thought. Yes there is a twist and I didn't even see it coming. I had a totally different cenario as to how I thought it would end.

Thanks Courtney on a fantastic series. You truly out did yourself.

How did I know this book was gonna do this to me? Maybe because all of her books manage to twist me up inside. Though I'm pretty sure this book has topped the others. It's been amazing watching Keaton grow throughout the series and finally becoming the woman she was destined to be. From the very beginning this book will suck you in and won't let you go till it's conclusion, which is mind blowing!! Heed the warnings because it's a very dark and twisted story.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this review voluntarily

"It doesn't matter if pleasing you brings about the most excruciating pain I ever experienced. I worship at your altar. I'll confess my sins inside your confessional and repent for the wrong I have done, even if it means my destruction."

The third and final book in the Wicked Trinity series continues the sordid love/abuse triangle between Keaton, a spoilt princess who only lives to please her mother, and the brothers Noah and Braedon. Both brothers have sinned, both are a little deranged and both want to own her. Their mutal hatred for one another causes them to plot and plan using every means at their disposal to go to war against each other. Sibling rivalry taken to a whole other level with many causalities along the way. Can Keaton emerge from the trauma she has experienced to find her true self or will she become lost to the world of pain they have exposed her to?

I highly recommend reading this series as one big book, the intricacies of the plotline are complex and better understood if read in one continuous loop. I am still not sure who, if any of the characters, I wanted to win in the game they were all playing. It seems no one really got what they deserved and I'm left feeling slightly hollow. The truth of the story is ugly, the suffering for no greater cause then the whims of a madman who was driven by petty jealousy. I struggled to connect with the characters or their version of happily ever after. The truths as they were exposed were vile and driven by emotionally crippled individuals who selfishly hurt those they professed to love. Redemption and guilt are main themes within the story. Overall I enjoys it and am glad there is closure to the trio.

A four star read.

Spoilers ahead!!

I would like to review all the three books together.
I really liked the first book The Sect because of the chemistry between Noah and Keaton. With each page begun liking Noah and hating Reven. I think the first book as a standalone was amazing. But with the second book the story was turned upside down. It was very difficult for me to digest the sudden feelings Keaton started having for Breadon. I mean it was very quick. The transition from Noah and Keaton to Breadon and Keaton was kind of unbelievable. The story kept on unfolding d characters grew complex and opposite of what they were in The Sect.
I liked the dark Noah, but he turned to be the ultimate villain.
The third book dwells more in the past of Noah and Shiloh and the story grows more and more complex. Some shocks are welcome but Courtany goes too much complexity, this is what I felt with Breaking Insanity. I love her male characters , but the story gets too complicated.

To conclude , I loved the first book, the second one was fine, but the third was below average as I expect great from Courtany!

Seducing Virtue is book 3 in the Wicked Trinity series and you need to start at the beginning. It felt like I had to wait forever for this book! But I am glad it is finally out and we can get some closure. Seducing Virtue has a lot of twists I did not see coming and characters I did expect to play in those twists. I am glad Keaton found her backbone and was able to freely love again. Courtney Lane wraps this series up with a nice twists black bow, questions I had were answered and even some I didn't know were answered. This book is not for the faint of heart, the series is dark and twisted with some triggers for some readers.

There's a fine line between love and hate, truth and lie, sanity and insanity, and once again, Courtney has driven me on that precipice..

So much comes to light in this mind-blowing conclusion to this amazing series.

Will the players in this twisted world fall, who will be left standing?

In that instant she implanted herself inside my bones. She assumed control of my nervous system. Everything. I remained still because she willed it. I would only move because she willed it. She had become my axis.

My darkness was a shadow at high noon. It would always be at my heels, chasing me and clamoring to be a piece of me too difficult to erase. My darkness would be a welcome sight when the occasion called for it.

An absolute thriller, I couldn't put it down until the last page!!!

Wow, what a conclusion to a phenomenal story. I was so swept away by the story of Keaton, Braedan and Noah. I was so blown away by the story that my whole body was tingling over with so much excitement. I was just so totally into the story that the whole story was just a part of me. I loved every single moment of it. Seducing Virtue by Courtney Lane is the third and final installment in the Wicked Insanity trilogy that is filled with dark, suspense and sinful pleasure.

Seducing Virtue was just not simple story. No, it was so complex but with such a unique and special twist. This book was just a mind fuck. Seriously, I felt like I was in Twilight Zone. My mind was on overdrive after I finished reading. I was rendered speechless because of Seducing Virtue. Seducing Virtue was like a puzzle. Every piece in the story needed to fit together and not every answer was given until I had to finish the book. I felt every single emotion. I was angry. I was swoony. I was smiling. Every emotion in the book cut me so deep like a knife that I swear my heart was bleeding out. Twisted. Suspenseful. Intense. Addictive. Every scene was so nail biting that it totally caused a shift in my nerves. Seducing Virtue got me on the edge and everything was so hard hitting. Courtney Lane delivered an amazing and beaufiful dark conclusion. She managed to give me all the answers to all my questions. I found myself so content.

The characters in Seducing Virtue were so different and dynamic. I became so addicted to them. Keaton started all naive in the previous two books but in this book she really showed me she had strength. She definitely grew on me. Noah is an insame person. He is definitely deranged villain but still had some sort of love for him. Sometimes you got to love the villains. Now, Braedan is another story. I freaking loved him. Yes he did some bad things but he definitely redeemed himself by being protective and loyal to Keaton. These characters definitely gave the story something extra.

Seducing Virtue defintely gave the trilogy the best ending. As we bid farewell to stories like thus from Courtney Lane, I am so thankful that she gave us stories that I fell in love with. I cannot wait what she has in store with us with her new venture. I am so excited.

So here we start book 3 knowing this - Noah is the devil and Keaton needs to stay FAR away from him - Braedan may have been a savior of sorts but now knowing his secrets can we trust him ?? - Keaton is never going to escape the past and IF she gets an HEA there will be much lost and much struggle getting there. This is one of the most dark/twisted books I have read - not just by this author but in all my reading. I like that some things just don't make sense and I love having no clue what may happen , not because the book isn't good BUT because it is so twisted I just can't wrap my head around where it is going. Noah is trying to rebuild what he tore down and Braedan is trying to make sure Noah cannot complete his plans. Which of the twisted brothers will win this battle ?? And if you think the secrets are done please be prepared because there are still a few big things to blow your mind. And when I was 80% done I think I read the second most horrifying thing ever. It was sick and disgusting and for some reason I couldn't stop reading even then. There are so many triggers - so many warnings - seriously this series is NOT for those who love a sweet romance. If you want a challenging read that will twist you up and freak you out this is your book !! Good luck !!

This series was a painful, erratic tale that ultimately underscored the power of forgiveness, redemption and love. There are enough twists and turns to make a pretzel jealous in this book. Overall, the plot was multilayered and each motive or flashback was pieced together in a bleak mosaic that eventually cast a beautiful picture. With that said, I do have BONES to pick with this damn book but more specifically, the editor!!

There were sooo many typos and grammatical errors in this series and especially in this book. Some errors were plain old bad proofreading. For example, one line (if I remember correctly) read "I told him two words : 'I want them to pay'". LIKE FOR REAL! I REREAD THE LINE THINKING MAYBE I WAS CRAZY. Instead of 'penchant' the word 'pension' was used. Instead of 'brakes' the word 'breaks' was used in "I slammed on the breaks"! I am not a persnickety person but I respect Courtney Lane too much to keep seeing her work weakly edited. I know everyone is being published by Penguin and I love and respect and support the independent hustle but gah-damn!

Another thing I had an issue with: a potential hole in the plot. There were several moments in the story where I thought the antagonist ought to have been detained easily! The cat and mouse game did make sense when thinking of the fears and insecurities of Keaton and Braeden but I still felt that they had the capability to do things that they avoided doing. It irritated me to no end at 74% of the book. Still, I hanged in there and witnessed some shocking developments!

North was south and east was west! I do think there was an erroneous fact that became fiction where we learn which Oliver brother was older and which was younger. Am I the only one that found it as erratic or did I misread? I know I didn't because I highlighted every reference of the development of the Oliver backstory! So hmm idk

This book is glory and gore. The dark scenes are excruciating. Lane never lacks a bloodcurdling story and I rock with that. If that's not your style, you won't stomach this book or the last meal you ate.

Altogether, this story was quite imaginative as it was my first cult-setting book I've ever read. Although this isn't my first series read of Lane's it's still a decent one. Her Breaking Insanity Series is still top of my reads so far in 2018 and one of my general favorites!

This is the conclusion to Courtney Lane's Wicked Trinity series.

Life hasn't been easy for Keaton. It certainly gets worse when the man you're in love with is the reason for breaking your soul apart. Running away from her love isn't easy and maybe just maybe she might never be able to escape the enigma that Noah Oliver is.

I don't even know life anymore. These books have me so twisted up, I can't tell my left from right. God the addiction to the mystery and all the twisted mind bending things is so real. This series has rendered me speechless. I'm pretty sure I'll be thinking about these characters for a long long time.

I am not a fan of series, because I lose my interest quickly. First 60% was slow read for me, than story become more interesting with predictable ending. Otherwise I think there was too much of everything in general - that is why I give it a 3 stars. If I consider all three books together, it was the darkest story I ever read.

So many head twist it was hard to keep up with who was doing what to whom. Noah the "hero", or Braeden/Reven/Shiloh the devil? Keaton has her work and choices cut out for her. But what she believes may not be the truth. I waited awhile to sink my teeth into this finale. It was worth it.

What a tangled web this last story was...whew it's over. This series is dark and tragic, but so good

I read 'The Sect' back in 2015. Finding a few days ago this was a trilogy I bought them immediately and read them. I will tell you this: Everything you think you knew is not. Lies will become the truth and the truth will be more complicated than the lies
