This manga is all kinds of ridiculousness. Just two (of many, oh lord, were there many) things that made me go wtf in this volume:

*Apparently, a 17-year-old can become a Bill-Gates-level businessman in 3 months. A fucking teenager. 3 months. A FUCKING BUSINESSMAN WHO CAN RUTHLESSLY ACQUIRE MULTIPLE COMPANIES. 17. Years. Old!

*Sakuya lost his virginity when he was 12(!) years old to a woman who was 20(!) years old. Yeah, that's right. TWELVE FUCKING YEARS OLD AND 20 FUCKING YEARS OLD.

The plot is pretty much objectively trash, but the artwork is good, not to mention smutty.

So of course I'm going to read the next volume!

ok there was some development in storyline but alot of
sexual influences were placed in, I know its that type of
novel but it was quite annoying most of the time especially at
the end.
But its slowly developing so.

I swear Sakuya is the perfect guy. Why can't I find a guy like him? I'm like legit in love with him so far. He has all the traits you'd want in a boyfriend. He's sexy, romantic, and an talented singer. He can be a bit jealous, but his hearts in the right place and he has yet to veer into too controlling. Aine and him are adorable together. I think they fell for each other a bit too fast, but if you get over that, you can see how much they care. They have the type of relationship where you love the person so much that you'd do stupid and crazy things for their sake. They might get screwed over in the process, but all that matters is that the other person will be happy. Sure, some of the situations were a tad over-dramatic and probably not too realistic. I highly doubt that half of these things would happen in real life, but it's still sweet to read about.

In this volume, Sakuya is the lead in a drama with one of his exes or some chick he had a fling with. I'm not liking the co-star. She's like the obligatory other woman that makes for a love triangle. The girl hasn't been in the manga much, but it's obvious that she's going to stir up trouble. I'm probably going to get annoyed by her trying to mess up Sakuya and Aine's relationship, but I'll get over it, since it's clear that there are always happy endings in these types of manga.

I've owned these books for a while but recently re-read them. I have to say, this is one series that completely took me by surprise. I'd seen it on the shelves but dismissed them unfairly. The following review is for the entire series.

I love the artwork and story in this series. I especially love how the actual pairing off happened so quickly in relation to other series, which I like. (It's one of the reasons I loved Kare Kano as much as I did.) There's the typical "I luff them but someone is fighting me for them" stuff, but it's relatively well done considering that it's such a tried and true trope. You can actually see why people might fight over our two main characters.

As the title suggests, there is some sexual content in here and if you don't want to see manga boobs you'd best prepare yourself to see them. The content gets more graphic in the last volume, but generally sticks to hints, glimpses, and talk up until volume 17.

This is a pretty entertaining series and it's what made me really love Shinjo as a mangaka. (Although I wish her publishers gave her all the respect she deserves!)

My Thoughts:

In this volume, Sakuya manages to rescue Aine from his half-brother and send the guy packing. I don't care if Ralph suddenly wishes someone would love him the way Sakuya and Aine love each other, I'll always hate that guy.

Things start looking up for our couple with Ralph gone. They're feeling kind of happy. Sakuya even puts Aine on a cock diet when she has writer's block until she gets her mojo back. It works oh so well, too.

Next thing you know, Sasaki tells Sakuya that he can't refuse the request for him to do a mini-series co-starring with an actress that he has a past history with. At first, Aine is insecure about it, but the more time she spends with Sakuya, the more she's beginning to truly feel comfortable in their relationship.

Ayako, on the other hand, is soooooo not happy with Aine hanging around Sakuya all the time. She basically sics her assistant on Aine to try to get her thrown off the set of the TV shoot and then has her dig up information on Aine's background. Of course, she ends up discovering Lucifer's best kept secret. What does this mean? Blackmail of course!

This third volume has more of the romance between Sakuya, the sexy lead singer of rock band Lucifer, and his new, fresh from high school lyricist, Aine. This time the problems arise when Sakuya is chosen to star in a television series to show off what acting chops he may have, and his costar in the series is an ex-girlfriend who hopes to rekindle their old romance.

Again, nothing new here that you haven't already seen in this genre, but author/manga-ka Mayu Shinjo still manages to keep things interesting and has enough plot twists to keep me interested in following her story. I'm going to look for Volume 4...

I call it Kaikan Phrase, but that is because I speak Japanese. I loved this series, I thought that idea of falling in love with a rock star was epic, it made me want to write dirty songs and find a justin timberlake. I have to say his blue eyes was cool, I knew he had Caucasian in him because of that, not because Japanese people can't have blue eyes naturally, they can my friend does, but because that seemed like a logical twist. I didn't like his brother though but his first idea on how to snag Aine was a good one. This series will keep you on your toes, I wish I could learn the art of surprise from this author for my book series, Arched Wing.

Miss Sakura seems like a real bitch. I think it's really weird that she was having sex with a twelve year old boy. She must be messed up in the head. I guess it makes sense why Sakuya is so sexually oriented.

I'm really hoping there is a good reason why he went to visit Miss Sakura. She hasn't done anything yet for him to really tell her off, but I highly doubt that he is going over there to have sex with her. Maybe he's going to use her as a cover to make sure that the photographer doesn't show the pictures of him and Aine.
