Corruption and murder rocks a theme park. The park's chief, Allen Hayes, runs the resort like his personal piggy bank. Private eye Weston vows to stop him, when his heart is stolen by Hayes's "housekeeper". Is she in on the con? One of the great outstanding murder mysteries that involves a theme park. And all within the realm of realism; no fantasy lands here. The story begins when a night security guard goes down into the subbasement below the park, and had just stepped out of the elevator when out of the shadows stepped a short gruff whiskered man who was dressed like an elf. "What are you doing down here?" the guard demanded, just before the gunfire hit. When the resort opened that morning, park goers spotted the guard's dead body upstairs near the park's entrance. Corporate headquarters hastily arranged a news conference and denied any wrongdoing. It was broadcast live around the world. But sitting in the front row, in the middle of the reporters, was private detective Darby Weston, already on the case, and deep undercover. The detective shook his head in disbelief when the spokesman said the security guard slipped and fell and died in a freak accident. He knew that it was plain and simple murder. When the news vans left, Weston would have this case all to himself, determined to retrace the steps of the fallen guard, and reconstruct what really happened. As the private eye gets closer to the truth, someone starts using the park's rides and attractions, (robots, thrill rides, etc.) to attack him.
