This special edition bundle contains all three books from the Nano Z Series.
Fired from his job of twenty-two years, Mack is contemplating his bleak prospects when things take a turn from bad to worse.
While desperately trying to survive, he unwittingly helps Amber, a fourteen year old girl with a dark, troubled past.
Brought together by overwhelming circumstances, Mack tries his best to protect her as they travel through lawless lands with roaming undead. But what they are forced to endure may be more than either of them can handle.
The one thing I liked in this series was the fight action. It was realistic and exciting. HOWEVER..... it wasn’t exciting enough to stop me from hating to read it paragraph by paragraph. The author thought he hit on a clever and unique way of referring to zombies, and proceeded to pummel every fifth sentence with the phrase. I’ll let the next readers discover for themselves the irritating words. It gave me a headache as I had to consciously skip over them again and again. And I must ask, who proofread this book before publishing? There were misspelled words, errant sentence structure, partial words and weirdly combined ones. Plot holes were rampant. How did everyone start calling the zombies by the name the protagonist only mentioned in his thoughts? How do people all start calling the humanoid machines by the same name when no one ever said the name out loud? How could a metal creature, who used the strongest man made metal known to make its body bullet-proof, inject itself using a simple syringe?
Mr. Knight has successfully proven that not everyone is meant to be an author. I hope, that in the future, he resists the urge to write.
This book had so many errors, unnecessary sentences that took away any chance of enjoying the book. I reported a lot of them, but there was so many that I eventually gave up reporting them. Meat puppet was an overused term.
Okay, to be honest, I bought or got the first book cheap or free. I got maybe 20% through it and gave it up in disgust. When I saw the trilogy available, I took a shot. Having paid for it, I chose to carry on through it all. The author actually has an interesting concept here, but Lord knows that he needs a proof reading as incorrect auto-corrected words abound. Again, serious considered moving on through out books 1 and 2. The 3rd though, actually wasn't too bad. Sadly it doesn't work as a stand alone.
I love the books. The characters became real to me. I stayed up late to finish all of the books. Some editing errors but not many.. lots of action.. when the story started to slow down, then you knew something was going to happen..I usually hate to read book s that have more then 4 to tell the story. This was my maximum number in order for me to get to the end. Liked the ending. If the author writes one more, I will read that one but. No more after that..Go Viking and Amber
I really enjoyed this book. The journey of the main characters, to survive, brought them into conflict with the 'establishment' the armed forces and the evolution of genetic manipulation behind the original ideas and its consequences upon mankind!! The scenarios posed questions and develops the intimacies of how individual goals (whether for good or evil) are achieved and how power corrupts the individual and the sciences involved but at the heart of the action is the ultimate drive to survive.
Plenty of grammar problems and redundant dialog. The plot is interesting. At times the story is entertaining. I just have to stop reading, though, because I keep running into these awkward narratives. Sorry Brad. I like your characters and plot, but you need to find someone to help you polish your trilogy.
Im not normally a sci-fi enthusiast so started this trilogy unsure as to whether I would complete it. Wow I am so glad I did ,following Mack and Ambers adventures was a real rollercoaster I would recommend to anybody. Now I just need to read more and more adventures and see where they lead. Brilliant story line .
Very few typos, some small errors, e.g. no fuel for motor on dingy in Gulf of Carpentaria, then later Girly Girl uses fuel from boat container to make a flaming torch from paddle and shirt sleeve. Good story the ending seemed to abrupt and less than satisfying. Has book 4 been or about to be published to continue? Or is it left hanging? Enjoyed the whole concept however.
I'm rating this series 5 stars for the excellent storyline and how this author bridges the events so well. I really enjoyed following Mack and his adopted daughter and do hope there is a continuation.
This goes way beyond your standard zombie dystopian story. Imaginative use of the themes but with unexpected turns. One of the most unique adventures I've ever read. I recommend this to anyone who loves the genre.
Picked this up for $.99 and worth every penny. Quick read. Different twist. At times I felt for the characters and wanted things to happen differently but hey the apocalypse isn’t all fun and games. I would recommend this series.
Good book for the most part. In certain areas you can tell where the author rushed thru leaving out many details and skipping ahead. The book did, however, leaving me wanting more. As of the story wasn't finished.
Just to painful to continue reading, not even certain I finished the first book. They brought Ted into the picture and then a chapter or two all about Ted and that was it for me, I just could not continue wasting my time on this book.
I loved the ride these book took me on. Kindda wish there was more to read. I want to know if humanity comes back or not. Do we deserve to come back? I hope we do. This book will make you think. Its a great rollercoaster ride. Its a must read!
Gets a little slow towards the several different stores in the one main story but 'll Zombie through the stories , I would and will buy more of his books
Wonderfully written. Will keep you guessing. I was enthralled and could not put it down. Definitely a good read for those who like zombies with a twist.
Never stopped moving or coming up with new persons places and things all 3 books can stand alone but together they are amazingly hard to put down and not worry about the welfare of ur favorite main characters
