My son laughed a lot. I was surprised that some of the humor was aimed at parents (without being dirty). I just wish it had more stories. Shortest of the ones we’ve read together.
Crazy how a Peppa Pig book is 4 stars more than most of the books I’ve read here. These stories are magnificent and divine, the storyline angelically beauteous. Bluey and its bog standard wannabe Peppa Pig show is cowering and looking like rubbish even more with these Peppa stories out.
My son is a big fan of the Peppa Pig cartoons so, when we had gotten this as a gift, we knew that he was going to love it immediately, and we were right! When I read the stories to him, he would sit in my lap and show interest in pointing to the pictures, while helping me to turn the pages. I loved how the stories were short-enough to read in five minutes, and were interesting, each one with a good point on how to teach children the lessons of growing-up in today's society (e.g. brushing teeth, going grocery shopping, etc.). I also loved the bright and colourful illustrations, drawing a child's interest immediately, along with the big wording and large pages. This book was definitely a favourite in our household, and will continue to be for years to come!
Cute little short stories that highlight Peppa & her friends, and all the adventures they are involved in. My daughter loves Peppa, so it was fun to read with her.
Jack borrowed this book from the Columbus Metropolitan Library. I picked it because he loves Peppa Pig and has had me read the sequel (which we found first at the library) several times over. He doesn't seem to like the stories in this one as well as the sequel, but he still asked me to read them and flipped through them himself. He gasped, "Oh no!" when Peppa lost a tooth and was inspired to brush his own teeth during the dentist trip story. He was sad for George when he lost the jumping contest to Richard Rabbit and kept saying, "The rabbit took the cup (trophy)." Those were the big highlights.
I read this book to my little one almost every day since she was 12 months and she still wants me to read to her sometimes. Now she is 18 months, she reads this book by herself sometimes (I guess she knows the story on each pages and she just looks at the pictures).
My daughter (3 years old) absolutely loved this book! We read through the 5-minute stories several times before turning it into the library. It was the perfect book for my son (7) to read aloud to her as well.
