I'm fascinated by deeply flawed people in impossible situations, and insane people who don't know they're insane. Perfection puzzles me, so my characters are always just a little bit evil--whether they know it or not!

It was worth the wait... I had the ending of this series on my TBR list for a year and two months. And I finally got around to reading it, and trying my best not to read it fast, but to savor it. (FAILED big time lol).

So happy that the loose ends were tied up. With everyone. Especially for Gary and Zoey. Without giving any spoilers away. I'm so happy that one of my favorite couple out the series(Zoey and Val). Was able to heal.

This pretty much sums it up

Loving Leo ends with an explosive revelation and Gary Romanovsky's at the center of it. His shocking confession leaves him picking up the pieces of his life while facing some hard truths about himself, his actions and those he loves. Those around him handle the fall-out in predictable ways, but Gary’s singular focused, determined to make things right once and for all. But can an irreversible action from his past ever be made right, when he has been living a lie all along? Finding Gary explores that question, and concludes the Romanovsky Brothers' series.

An honest review

Gary, Gary Gary…Just when you thought Roman had taken the cake of most boring Romanovsky brother, enter Gary! By far his book was a snooze fest romance wise. The only thing keeping this one afloat was a predictable kidnapping at the end, and the conclusions to the other brother’s romances. And before I get into that, I would like to point out something regarding how this book has been reviewed by others. Yes, there is a same-sex relationship in this one, and yes it goes against the trend in the previous books. Do I think that’s a bad thing? No. I’ve written same-sex couplings before. I’ve even adored television shows that exclusively explore the topic. And no, that’s not my way of stating I’m not homophobic, it’s just my way of stating, it’s no big deal. You like reading it or you don’t. For me, the parameter to whether I enjoy reading about same-sex couplings is in the writing, and dare I say, my personal tastes and interests of the moment. Most days, I want to read about heterosexual couples, specifically interracial heterosexual couples because that’s my guilty pleasure. Does that make everything else unworthy of my time or consideration? No. I read other things, many things. But when it comes to my time and money, I want what I want, when I want.

So, having stated that, I get the frustration from some readers. It seems that Burns has a very targeted demographic. They expect a certain thing from her and when they don’t get it, they feel cheated. They thought they were getting one thing, and yet they got something else. Something unsatisfying. I get that. But I think the focus should be on whether this book, and this series satisfies readers aside from the issue of the character’s sexual orientation. From what I’ve read so far, I think it’s a mixed bag. Even if Gary was straight as an arrow, he’s frankly boring. So is his love interest. They’ve been boring throughout the series and the result is clear in this final chapter of the Romanovsky Brothers. To me, I think it’s brave that Burns took this route. It means she’s willing to take risks. Which is always good in my book. But this risk falls flat because the same problems that perforated the two previous books, continue to poke holes in this one. Val and Zoey are still a primary focus. The main love story of the book is secondary, almost pushed to third given the heavy focus on the overall arc. And the word count continues to bypass and surpass its expiration date. At one point my mind screamed, Please, just shoot this lame duck, and get on with it! Prepare for paint by the numbers events, more crying, excessive crying from pretty much everyone, and a lot of mustache twirling from the villains. Most important, do not think for a second you’re going to get any surprises beyond what I’ve mentioned above. Everything plays out pretty much like you expect and it leaves you – well, at least it left me wondering did I just invest in a four-book story to end up like this? Completely unsated. If you’re going to push the envelope, push it. To quote one of my favorite artists, “Girls you got to know when it’s time to turn the page, when you’re only wet because of the rain” (Tori Amos).

My Final Word

But I don’t want to end this on a negative note. I have been a fan of Trevion Burns since her debut novel, Stereo. In the interracial romance genre, her writing is solid with some hits and misses. What I appreciate about her is that series wise, her arcs are consistent, and each one brings its own flavoring. Even if some of the passages, and books within her series have a tinge of repetitiveness, she has a way of tricking the mind. The finished product feels like a true standalone journey different from anything she’s written before. The Romanovsky Brothers is the sum of this idea. Each book builds upon the last, and though you have moments of dejavu, by the conclusion you’re convinced Burns has written her most ambitious and unique work. That’s until the next series rolls along. And on that note, this series review is done. Pardon any copy-editing snafus. I’m churning these out fast. ‘Cause mama’s got bills to pay. Will come back and correct as needed.

My rating: Finding Gary -  3.2

My series rating: The Romanovsky Brothers - 3.6

*****Spoiler Alert*****
I thought that the author had 'painted herself into a corner' that she couldn't get out of easily when I learned of Val's mugshot I just couldn't see how she could get him out of that and salvage his relationship with Zoe but she did it.
And someone didn't like this installment in the Romanovsky series because it has M/M romance OMG I'm glad I ignored that review, this was hands down the most riveting story in the series, the drama, the villains plus an added bonus, the other three brothers and their women get their HEA's and it plays out here. I have to say though I'm perplexed as to how a baby took a twenty foot fall into what had to be very cold water and came out of it in better shape than his father but I digress, this story is a must read guys in fact read whole series.

So let's be clear, the plot = unique. The characters = fantastic. The writing = surprisingly good throughout the entire series. So why only 3 stars? If the brother of the man you loved played a role in killing BOTH your parents and if the man you loved willingly KNEW his brother killed your parents and didn't disclose that to you... where the hell do you find a happy ending in that scenario? I had a feeling that I wasn't going to like this particular installment because there is simply no way that a rational human being forgives someone and their family for 1)killing their parents (whether accident or otherwise), and 2) remaining silent for TEN effing years. nope Nope NOPE. Where they do that at? Nowhere.

I just wasn't feeling this ridiculous, sappy, happy ending. That said, Trevion wrote her ass off though there were quite a few typos. The M/M was predictable for me but I understand why some would want a warning especially since it dominated a good amount of the book. Overall 3 stars but I fell that the end of the story was a let down. What's interesting is that the concluding story of the Almeida brothers series wasn't up to par for me either. Not sure if that's a pattern but I'll be on the look out for the next series by Trevion.

A twist, a turn, a surprise

I chose to give this book five star because it was well written. Each book transition from one book to another seamlessly. With a surprise at ever turn. I could not wait to read the next book. Good read

Loved the series but the author really dragged out the story as far as what happened with Zoey’s parents. There was no reason it should have taken 4 books for the truth to finally be made known to the reader. I wasn’t surprised Gary was gay only because I read the reviews of this book beforehand and so I was prepared. I appreciate she didn’t go into too much detail with Gary and Reggie’s sexual escapades as she has with other scenes in previous books lol just because it would have been just a touch awkward for me as a straight woman.

In the end I enjoyed the series even though finishing it was like pulling teeth, I had to force myself to keep going so I know how it all ends. All of the couples got their happy ending... would’ve liked to see more of Leo & Jess as I feel they had the shortest story and Leo is my favorite brother.

In the end I’ve got to say, finish the books. It’s a crazy ride and mostly very enjoyable!

SPOILER ALERT:
Also Zoey is an idiot: 1. Who trusts anyone but their newborn son if that person isn’t family or has been connected to them for years? Your FBI assigned protective detail? Really? How dumb can you be to let him take your son out of the house without you? I don’t care if he’s hot and has the hots for you. 2. She forgave Val which also came out of no where to me. It’s ok for relationships to end, happens all the time in the real world. But hey. Val was my favorite brother until I realized he was lying about killing/knowing who killed Zoeys parents lol so it is what it is I guess.

Awesome! AFull 5+ 🌟 Stars for the series

I have to say that there were times during the series that I started losing interest. I didn't know if I could finish & I was tempted to skip through portions. But, I did not, as the story did drag on and have some repetition throughout. Also there were quite a significant amount of grammatical errors. (OK, so, I'll subtract the +) The last half of the final book really brought it all together.

I'm not into gay Romance and would never intentionally read a gay Romance. "I'm not homophobic either!" I read some of the reviews & was a bit reluctant to read this final book.

However, I must congratulate the author on her writing. I thought that the love scene's were done with great skill & in good taste. And, they were passionate & heart warming. I fell in love with both men. And, I found myself disappointed that their story was not elaborated upon more.

I really felt that the story was brought to a really wonderful & very successful conclusion...
Congratulations to the author.

The truth is revealed

This was a good end to a good series,so many questions were answered, and so much was revealed, especially about Gary, the "focus" of this book. I loved how this book was written, it gave you so much insight to the Romanovsky's as a family that would go to great lengths to protect their own. One of my very favorite things about this series is how each woman man, in the brothers lives played a very important role in the mystery of who really killed Zoey's parents and the cover-up that took place. Poor Zoey, you could feel her hurt and anger just coming off the pages of this book, how betrayed and foolish she felt, she did really piss me off a few times but you really understood why she felt they way she did. My only complaint is that, just like in Leo's book, the romance for the main characters was nonexistent, this book was still all about Val and Zoey, and I still feel cheated with Leo and Jessica's romance which was not really addressed. It was just a few paragraphs, then bam! Back in love,I was disappointed it was kind of just thrown together, and their romance had tons of potential. All in all the mystery saved this book for me and it is a good read, just more of a mystery than a romance.

So disappointed

I anxiously awaited for the conclusion to this series. I normally don't like series but I was hooked from Taming Val. I have enjoyed each book in the series until this one. If could not wait to see who was going to be the love interest for Gary. Oh what a disappointment. I have read other reviews who could not understand why people would be upset. If you were looking to read one type of book but you get something else it's disappointing. It's like if you order a coke and you get tea or you want cake and you get pie. It takes away from the experience of the book. And to top it off, Zoey needed her tail, spanked. Being hurt and and angry is one thing but Miss Zoey took that to a whole new level. The only good thing was finding out how everything wrapped up if not for that I probably would not have finished the book.

3.7 out of 4 stars.
This installment of The Romanovsky Brothers tied up the whole series. I enjoyed reading it even though I am not a fan of M/M genre. That is not my cup of reading and had the author mentioned it in her write I probably wouldn't have finished this series. That being said I think the author should have done so and left the decision up to the readers whether or not they chose to read such a book.

I did enjoy the twist and turns this story took. Some were expected and a few weren't. I like that Jack Almedia was mentioned and had a chance to display his abilities as a lawyer. Really didn't get much of him in action as a lawyer in the Almedia Brothers series. Reggie finally stands up to his dad.

All I can say is WOW!!!

***First off let me just say for those of you who didn't finish reading the book because of the sexual orientation needs to be kicked in the face!! GROW UP!!***
This was such a amazing end to this series to where I really didn't want it to end. The ending in book three had me on the floor!! This book right here gave me heart palpitations from beginning to end. I don't ever remember tearing up this much in one book. Of course Gary secret was a shocker but it was written very tastefully. Zoey really got on my nerves but I glad the truth finally came out and she was able to reclaim her family. Now I need go read about Jack Almeida cause that man was a beast in the courtroom!!

It all comes to light.

It was well written, action packed romance mystery. It had a lot of heart felt moments that were so sad. I've enjoyed the ride the Romanovsky brothers have taken me on. All loose ends were wrapped in an intriguing way.

However, I have one major complaint about this book, and it is the only thing keeping me from giving it a five star review. This last book in series was a complete departure from its genre, and should be identified as such. While, the plot was was unique and added to the story, as I reader I have the right to select the genres I want to read.

Surprise!

What a wrap up to the Bros.Romanovsky....I bet people are surprised about Gary...the secrets were finally revealed....drum roll...drum roll.....tada....he's guilty...or innocent...depending on how you view the law....I know people are bummed out about his admission about the whole truth surrounding him and the one who is the love of his life...live and let live...you can't help who you fall in love with..It's a great story...Trevion did a excellent job and Jack Alameida plays a significant role....great cross over...I recommend reading the book and have all your questions answered about events leading to the murder of Zoey's parents.

What a great ending to the series

I couldn't ask for a better ending to such a great series. I love how Trevion writes. This book had depth, intrigue, crime, abuse, sexism, love/hate emotions..etc. I read the book in one darn day. Would have loved to see how Bette accepted Tony back. Rome marry Angus and to experience her pregnancy. I would have enjoyed the wedding of the my gentle spirited, Leo and Jessica. Either way, the book was funny, witty, catty, and one shell of a twister. Hate to see the Romanovsky's end, but what a great ending to such a wonderful series.

Gary finds love

I enjoyed this book. It was a great ending to the series about the Romanovsky brothers. I was glad that there were references to the other brothers throughout, without a lot of repetition. I was surprised by Gary and Reggie's relationship especially because the family hated him so much. I am glad that he found the live of his life, the romance scenes between the two were descriptive and hit enough without being over the top. I'm so glad that Victor King got what he deserved. I hope Trevion Burns continues to write, because I will definitely read.

Excellent story,found it right riveting

I loved the whole series and was so pleased that it ended how it did, everything was explained in detail all the suspense from the previous books and speculation was answered in a very believable and sympathetic way. I was sad to see it end but I thought I was befitting how it did end, I'm sure if Trevion wants to, a spin off can be written about the characters Taj and his sister, just a suggestion *wink, wink*. This series has captured my heart from the beginning to the end, fabulous story well worth the wait!!!!

Whoa!! Didn't see that coming

Ok, I was waiting on baited breath for the finale, so much so that I didn't finish Loving Leo. When I read some of the other reviews, I was totally hesitant to read but I'm so glad I did! Even though, it was a bit tough to read, the essence of what the author was wanting to convey was done so awesomely! Glad my boy Jack Almedia came through and shut it done like a boss! Well written series!

Gary

The series ends with this book. The mystery solved. I loved the way it unfolded to tell exactly what happened ten years ago. I was surprised to see who Gary really was. Surprised that I missed it. The action and suspense were very good. The love storyline could have been better in all four books. What I really didn't get was Angelica and Jessica were married long before Val and Zoey. It didn't go well for me, but I'm still rating 5 stars because I truly enjoyed the story.

Great job wrapping this series up! Loved getting to know Gary, even though I had guessed what his secret was earlier in the series. This one does not disappoint and you'll definitely want to finish it in one sitting. Intriguing, sexy and laugh out loud funny in all of the right places.

If I could I would give it a Ten

This by far was the best in the series. A ten year old secret is solved, all the couple's issues were resolved. There was a surprise coupling that was sweet and heartbreaking at times.
