Wow. These short stories and so intense and masterfully written. In this one, I particularly love the exploration of the fixation effect almost being like lust and how it feels for Jamie to Spark with another boy.
Why did I read that so fast? I can't last until September now.... "want to read" for Shield? Ha! More like "I NEED TO READ THIS BOOK NOW I CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT IT."
Even with 30 pages, Rachael can write a captivating story to keep her readers addicted. Keep up the good writing, Rachael! :D
1st person to rate and review...
I don't even know what it's about, but Rachael Craw is written it. I think that already answers what I plan to rate it. 5 stars.
Really interesting to get a view on Jamie's first spark. Although they don't take long to read, Craw's novellas really satisfy my spark cravings, giving me a little spark something while waiting for the next installment and giving me some insight into characters and their back stories we didn't get informed of in the main series. Really recommend reading the novellas to anyone craving that little bit extra.
What a view into how Jamie got his scars on his back! I loved it! But I really feel for Jamie!! But what I loved most was when Philip pulled out the photo of Kitty and Evie and then how Jamie "explained " everything about how he felt about Evie then also kind of about the by that ruined their kiss I loved that bit!! I loved Jamie!! (Still do ;-) This was a great short story Rachael Keep writing!!!

I love that we get little snippets of this world in between novels. It's always interesting to have a back story and makes me even more excited for Shield. Even in 30 pages, Rachael's writing is captivating and she continues to keep her readers interested (in my case, attached) to the world of the Spark trilogy. Hanging out for the September release!!
'Black Room' and now this short story 'Scar Tissue' just add that something extra to this already amazing series! Rachael Craw is a fantastic author when it comes to creating well-developed and complex characters with unique pasts and abilities. If you're a fan of Jamie in the first two books (and let's face it - who wouldn't be!?), then you'll love this. Can't wait for SHIELD!
* Jamie has been in a fight because some boys were calling his friend Philip a 'fag'. He has a bleeding nose, but he's also drunk. * Philip follows him home and tries to find him some paracetamol, but he leaves when Jamie's uncle comes home. * Jamie goes off after Philip, even though he doesn't quite understand his feelings for him.
NO. My GoD this cannot be the end. NO. There has to be more. I know that there are other books but I'm assuming they're all short stories and not part of a series. Please give me more. I'm going to read everything Rachael Craw has ever written in her life, I need every word she's typed ingrained in my mind. This is.... ugh there are no words. Scar Tissue is a tiny, short story that has been the first short story to make me feel something. I want to sob and hug something. Send help.
Tense. Finally a book that allows Jamie’s point of view. I love how we get to experience Jamie’s first spark and finally get the full story of his journey and how he got his scars. Also his last summer with Evie.
