Hmm this one was bittersweet for me. The story started off quite slowly (except the first couple pages) and the characters weren't fully developed. With that said, it is clear this is a good writer, the plot wasn't predictable at all and sometimes the prose is crisp...almost poetic (reminds me of King or Barker). Also, I could identify at least three instances where the author used foreshadowing to good use. When I reached midway through, I dont know, somehow I got a sense of evil lurking behind the writer's words,a kind of haunting I cant explain (yes there is violence but it's more than that) maybe it's the writer's choice of words. I have to admit, I didn't really care for the main character, but what saved face is the fact that the POV switches to more"interesting" people. Was thinking about giving this like a three stars but the ending was pretty good.
Would recommend this highly for fans of Clive Barker and Robert McCammon.

You can tell this book is written by someone who has to explain themselves frequently in real life. The passages are awkward and wordy. Rather than easily creating the scenes in my mind, I'm left reading sentences over and over to understand what is being "explained" (not described). The dialogue is just as bad. The characters are flat and uninteresting. Not for me. Sorry!

This book was good for me! I enjoyed it! I think the book started a bit slow for me but once it got started there was of action. I was intrigued to read on and see what would happen next. So I think I did get caught up in the book. The characters were likable for me! * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

I was contacted by the author to review this book. All opinions are my own.

WOW!!!!! This book had so much depth and originality. A complex story that is both gripping and full of unexpected twists it will leave your head spinning. Told from alternate characters POV, the reader gets a full scale look as the story unfolds not just from the witches view but also the lycans, and vampires. You see there is a war brewing and each side is on a mission to attain the most power.

I was immediately swept up into this book. You may say it starts off a bit slow, but it didn't bother me the least. There is plenty of action and witchcraft performed, which I loved. The switching between different POV was what I loved the most because we get to see what motivates each character whether they be good or evil or in between. It helped to give background information and explanations so the reader could easily keep up with everything that's going on. I personally love Vitorrio and Satin, they are entertaining and mysterious. I have no idea why I like Satyrion, but something about him is very alluring and Eamon is the troubled character you desperately want to make good decisions and come out on top. Carson Watson made me crave to turn the page, yet almost afraid to see what the evil doers had up their sleeves. I really enjoyed reading this book.

My only issues with this book was with the MC Kaia. I just did not like her at all and loathed any chapter with her in it. Luckily most chapters are from other characters POV. I just felt that she was knaive and acted dumb a lot of times. She's just not a very likable person and doesn't add anything to look forward to. I also wasn't sure what to think of the almost romance. I'm not really sure there actually is romance. Kaia definitely likes Vitorrio but at some point in the story it seemed non existent. Although, Eamon seemed to be transfixed Kaia, she never made any statements of having been interested in Eamon. Lastly, I did not like the way some characters were being referred. The woman who took care of Kaia named Elisa was always referred to as the Asian girl even after she learned her name. Eamon did this same thing at one point as well. Kaia also used the word hag when speaking about old looking characters and called others abominations. I just didn't understand some of these references.

I truly enjoyed this book and am so looking forward to what happens next. I seriously have no idea, not even an inkling as to what will happen next. I just know that I want more of these amazing characters. I have not read any story like this and I highly recommend it. Carson Watson definitely has a talent for storytelling.

I could hardly stop reading The Sorceress' Prophecy and I'm hoping there will be a sequel! This book was right up my street. The plot was not basic and there were plenty of surprises throughout; a great read. Without giving much of a spoiler I'm hoping to read more as I grew to love Kaia's character, the adventures she went on, and the way she came out fighting.
A great book! I will be reading it over again very soon.
