Single mom Madison Walker busts her ass working two jobs—exotic dancer by night and secretary by day, which includes playing barista to her boss, the insufferable, but hot as sin Jaxon Sutherland. If he’d take the silver spoon out of his mouth, he’d be a little more…sufferable. Maybe even downright irresistible. What the man needs is a good dose of reality, and he isn’t going to find that in the super-rich la-la land he lives in.
Billionaire investor Jaxon Sutherland has always liked the finer things in life and makes no apologies for it. The more expensive, the faster, the flashier, the better. So why are the disapproving looks from his sexy new secretary getting under his skin? Hell, why is he so tempted by a woman who most definitely doesn’t fit into his exclusive circle?
Their two worlds collide and a challenge is issued. One Jaxon can’t back down from. Stripped of all of his luxury, Jaxon shows Madison that underneath the expensive suits, he’s a decent man. A man Madison does find irresistible.
He fits into her world. But can a night-time stripper, day-time office gal and barely holding it together mother of two, fit into his?
This book was originally part of the THE SUTHERLANDS boxset.
Ever since Abby Niles picked up her first Sweet Valley High book in sixth grade and fell in love with Elizabeth and Todd, she’s been hooked on romance. By the time she reached high school, she was devouring meatier romances with pirates, cowboys and knights. She never imagined that those years of reading would one day lead to her becoming a published author.
In her late twenties, after having twins and becoming a stay-at-home mom, she started doodling stories to keep her sanity. Next thing she knew, she was actually submitting to publishing houses. And was immediately rejected. That didn’t stop her though. She found some kickass critique partners, honed her craft, and continued submitting.
And eventually sold.
Today, she juggles work, being a single mom, and writing. It’s not always easy, but hey, who said life was easy?
Abby is the author of the contemporary MMA romance, Extreme Love, the first book in her Love to the Extreme series. Fighting Love is scheduled to release in December of 2013 and Winning Love is scheduled for 2014. She is also the author of the dark paranormal romance series The Awakening: Aidan and the The Awakening: Liam and The Awakening: Britton. Both series are with Entangled Publishing. She also has a geeky romantic comedy, Defying Convention, with Carina Press.
She is represented by Maureen Walters at Curtis Brown, LTD.
Abby Niles doesn't quite bring the heat with Stripped, but what she does bring is a story with likeable characters and a journey that’s fun to watch.
Jaxon Sutherland is living up to his family’s reputation. He likes to sit in his ivory tower and look down on the minions. He’s a guy who has a coffeemaker in his office but prefers to call his secretary in to make him a cup.
Madison Walker needs her job at Sutherland Industries for the benefits. She can’t continue to afford to pay for her daughter’s medical care outright. She’s only been working for Jaxon for a month and she has had enough of his arrogant jerk attitude. When Jaxon unknowingly insults Madison, she throws down a challenge he can’t back down from.
Jaxon and Madison are two characters who unknowingly actually need each other. “Maybe they both had something to learn from each other.” Madison allows Jaxon to embrace the simpler things life has to offer and allows him to have a normal life without all the trapping of wealth. Jaxon for his part is there to lighten the burdens Madison’s been carrying, simply by just being there, no money needed.
“Kids, the struggles you face, never even crossed my mind.” He paused. “Madison, I’m awed by you.”
I loved the strength, determination, and stubbornness Madison has. She knows her situation is bad, but she’s trying her best. She becomes so busy taking care of others that she never takes care of herself. Jaxon finally meets his match with Madison, she gives him everything he never knew he wanted and only wants him for him, not his name or fortune.
This is a happy for now story, which I can only imagine lasts forever.
Personal purchase as part of the The Sutherlands: One Family Saga anthology.

Was an amazing book. I loved everything about it, and the storyline was perfect. I couldn't put the book down at all, definitely would recommend this book. Thank you for an amazing read!!! Can't wait to see what's next to come in this author.
Loved the book, loved the characters, but I do wish there was just...more. I wish there were more scenes with just them and the kids and sometimes the book would just skip ahead and only briefly talk about things and I really really REALLY wanted a epilogue. Even with those issues I loved the book, I hope I can find more books with this kind of plot.
