They say you should never date the boss’s daughter. That goes doubly so when you’re a pro football player and her father owns the team. But what do you do if she can’t stay away?
Hudson Asher
Mackenzie Mayfield is smart, interesting and the hottest girl I've ever seen. She's also the daughter of my team’s owner and a front office executive. And she's entirely off limits.
For both reasons.
The trouble is, she won’t leave me alone. And I can’t stay away from her either, not after I’ve saved her from something horrible.
But how can we get together when we work together?
The rule says I'm not supposed to date anyone at work. I'm definitely not supposed to undress Mackenzie with my eyes and with my hands every time she looks at me.
All I want is to help my team win a championship.
But in the meantime, I’m in danger of losing my heart to Mackenzie Mayfield.
Mackenzie Mayfield
Hudson Asher’s been on my father’s team for a decade. He’s a hulking beast of a man who destroys his opponents on the field.
All I can think of when I see him are the naughty things I want him to do to me.
After saving me from something terrible, I try and return the favor, but something is holding us both back from each other.
I just hope I can find out what it is in time.
Blitzed is book 3 of the Alpha Ballers series, but can be read standalone. It is 62,000 words long and contains an HEA with no cliffhanger.

This is the third book in Lucy Snow's Alpha Ballers Book series and she didn't disappoint! (Each book can be read as a stand alone.) This is Mack and Hud's story. Mack short for Mackenzie, is the boss's daughter....and her dad just happens to own the New England Patriots football team. Mack works in the front offices and is being groomed to take over the reins someday. Of course football being a man's world, Mack has to be on top of her game at all times. It doesn't matter that she's worked extremely hard to get where she is. It doesn't matter how smart she is or even the fact that she knows as much or more about football than most of the men in the business. Because she is a woman she will be under a microscope for everything she does. That means no dating any of the delicious, chippendale look-a-like men that she gets to watch practicing on the field everyday. Besides that she's their boss. Hudson is a handsome, happy, hulk of a player. He's always got a smile on his face and he's the rock of the defense. But he's also been playing in the league for a long time. He's still at the top of his game but at his age a team may want to trade him or give him a lower paying contract or maybe not but either way Mack would be in on the negotiations. Both Mack and Hud skirt around their attraction to each other. I mean they really don't spend a lot of time together except at social functions that the team is expected to attend or other team related functions. But when Mack finds herself in trouble will Hud be there to save her? And when Hud comes under suspicion by the league for illegal activities will Mack have his back? Both have a lot to lose if they become a couple but will they lose even more by staying apart? I highly recommend Blitzed as well as the first two books in the series: Tackled and Sacked.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this series. Wish there were more books. I would love to see Coach Armstrong find love or find out more about him. Mack and Hud are so focused on their jobs, but they both know when the other is around. They finally act on the attraction and it is explosive.
Hudson is the linebacker for the Patriots. The team owned by Mackenzie's father. They have the hits for each other, but don't quite know how to act on it. That is, until Mack's date turns into a real creep. But the obstacles don't stop there.
This is the third book in the series but as usual the book itself can be read as a standalone, my only comment as usual is that favourite characters from book one, Tackled and book two, Sacked are present throughout which helps add to the story. Also, Lucy Snow's books are so good that it really is no hardship to read all three in order.....just saying!
Anyway, this third installment follows Hudson(Hud)Asher, the Patriots defense player and Mackenzie Mayfield, the daughter of the Patriots owner and a working member of the team's front office helping to decide the who, what and where's of the players in the team. Having come up in the previous book briefly you are aware that there seems to be some spark between these two but both are trying to avoid any entanglement together. After an incident at a charity sports event that Hud aids Mackenzie in, they realize that the feelings they have for each other are returned by each of them and from there begins the dance of a forbidden romance at the Patriots.
I loved how these two kept dancing with each other and Lucy was able to maintain the suspense of will they won't they as they continually toyed with the should they shouldn't they aspect of the romance and when they finally did....boy was it steamy! Of course, true love never did run smooth and a scandal right before the all important championship games leads to Hud and Mac going their separate ways after they both misunderstand each other and decide their careers are more important that what they may or may not have going on personally.
Que a realization by both that they actually do love each other but both stubbornly and unwilling to make a mistake that could lead to serious consequences in their professional lives continue to resist each other until the scandal is cleared. Just as we think nothing is left to stand in their way, another issue crops up for Mac and in her confusion and her need to protect Hud as he is about to play his most important game, she pushes him away. By this point as a reader you are banging your head slightly but you know Lucy has this handled and in a sweet scene they are able to put things right.
The championship is decided and so too are some decisions that both characters have to make but finally we are given our HEA in dramatic style and with typical Patriot players flare! Poor Coach and his 'love boat' team! The ending is perfect and generally wraps up the series although I would hope that there would be at least one more with all the characters in. Lance and Drake return throughout this book as Hud's teammates and generally drive Hud made with their loving ramblings about their own loves, Lily and Charlotte. The final chapter with these three is very typical of the brother-ship that has been shown throughout the series and the way Lucy writes it, she is able to show us just how childlike and loving these players really are as a team. A perfect ending to the book.
As I said I really hope that Lucy writes at least another one following up on these three great couples....if only to give Lily's a fourth book of material to write herself! This is first and foremost a romance book, a book about sports second. You don't have to understand or enjoy sports based romances to like this book....you just have to be a fan of romance winning the day!
Another great book from Lucy Snow! I can't see wait to see what she writes next!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
Got to love a hot football player who is a savior and cook all rolled into one!!!
~~~I received an ARC of Blitzed by Lucy Snow for an honest review!~~~
Blitzed is the third book in the Alpha Ballers series. Blitzed is a sports romance that takes on a opposites attracts, forbidden and secret romance themes. It is a simple and easy to read book with a steady pace and a decent plot with elements of both romance and sports. One thing I will say is despite this book incorporating a sports theme don’t be put off if you aren’t into sports because the book is easy to follow along.
I personally liked the dimension of a slightly forbidden kind of romance what with Mack being the owner's daughter. I'm guessing we might get a bonus fourth book on the three couples from this series but I definitely felt like this book wrapped up the series well. The book is relatively light with bits of drama creeping up here and there to keep you turning the pages to find out what will happen for both characters, personally and professionally. While it was a little predictable in places, it was still enjoyable to read. One warning I do have is that there is a sensitive situation that occurs which some people may find troubling but is clear to spot coming if people wish to skip.
Overall, this was a nice, easy to read, HEA, standalone, sports romance to pass a couple of hours. I would recommend this book to sports romance enthusiasts, though you don't have to know all about football to enjoy it.
Blitzed is a standalone sports romance that incorporates opposites attracts, forbidden and secret romance elements with a team owner’s daughter and one of the players.
Blitzed is sports romance takes on a opposites attracts, forbidden and secret romance theme with the owner’s daughter, Mackenzie Mayfield, who virtually runs the business of the team, and one of the players, Hudson Asher, who has been around for many years but grew up completely the opposite of Mackenzie. Blitzed is a simple and easy to read book with a steady pace and a decent plot with elements of both romance and sports. One thing I will say is despite this book incorporating a sports theme don’t be put off if you aren’t into sports because the book is easy to follow along (I personally don’t follow American football but could follow along enough). Also, while Hudson and Mackenzie are first introduced briefly in previous books in the series, you don’t need to have read them as they have no direct impact on this story which can be read as a standalone.
Told from both Mackenzie and Hudson’s points of view, there was clear attraction between these two very likeable characters from the very start. While they have known of each other for over ten years, it is only after a situation arises that they really start to get closer and get to know each other, albeit secretly for the sakes of protecting both their reputations. As the plots moves along, you see the development of the relationship with Mackenzie and Hudson and can’t help but hope these two can find their HEA.
Blitzed, which I definitely enjoyed more than Stripped (book 2), had a good flow to the story with a clear chemistry between Hudson & Mackenzie (definitely clearer than in Sacked where it was a little more difficult to see). I personally liked the dimension of a slightly forbidden kind of romance what with Mack being the owner's daughter. Once again Lucy Snow brought it! This book was just as good as the other two, I love it, it was a good ending to the series. I'm dissapointed it's ending but I also can't wait to see what you write next. The characters in this book were both amazing and I really liked Mackenzie, she was a good strong woman. Hud was, you know, just another sexy, big muscular dude but he also had a sweet, protective side that made him pretty perfect and Mack just couldn't resist him.
Blitzed is book 3 of the Alpha Ballers series, but can be read standalone. It is 62,000 words long and contains an HEA with no cliffhanger.
* I was given a free epub copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
I received an ARC copy from the author for an honest review. Lucy has done it again and she keeps getting better and better. Seeing how things work between Mack and Hudson after their introduction in the last two books really tied things up.
Hux has been on the Patriots team for 10 years, longer than some apparently believe he should have been. Over the last few years, he's noticed Mackenzie and has put it out of his head believing he's not good enough for her. After rescuing her from her date one night, he spends some more time with her and really gets hooked on her. But after some problems with the league, he doesn't even know if he will be able to stay on the team, let alone if she actually believes in him.
Mack has been watching football since she was a small girl and being a female in a mans world is tough. She's been crushing on Hud for years, but doesn't know if he feels the same, or what to do about the fact that he's technically an employee. She realizes she needs to make her move and asks him out for dinner. What started out great soon leaves her wondering what happened when he leaves her sitting on her couch after a few amazing kisses. She's always been a little awkward talking to people but doesn't realize that some of the things she's saying is having a negative effect on things with Hud.
With a lot of hard times, twists and turns, they make it to the big championship game, but there's still a lot going on between them, and Hud is having issues trying to figure Mack out. My only questions this late in the book is...do they win the game, does Hud get to play, and most importantly, do they work things out? Time to finish the last couple chapters and find out.
Mackenzie is the daughter of the owner of the Patriots. She is also a huge part of the organization. A front office executive. The Patriots is also the team that employs Hudson Asher. Hudson Asher, player extraordinaire. Hot, sexy, gorgeous and maybe, possibly, ready to settle down. Their paths seem to cross a lot, considering he is a player and she is basically his boss. Hudson saves Mackenzie from a really uncomfortable situation about to take a turn for the worse. The attraction between them is very strong. If they could just get over the fact that they basically work together, and her being his boss, they could be amazing together. Mackenzie knows what she wants but Hudson doesn't seem to believe it's him. He has reservations about her motives. All too soon the team is thrown into a tailspin. Havoc surrounding one of their own, may not only disrupt the team, but also Hudson and Mackenzie's lives. SMOOTH AND CAPTIVATING STORYLINE ! WELL WRITTEN ! I loved the characters and the way the characters from books one and two (TACKLED & SACKED) of the ALPHA BALLERS SERIES, were incorporated into the story. HUDSON AND MACKENZIE WERE SO HOT TOGETHER ! THIS BOOK WAS FILLED WITH SCORCHING HOT SEX SCENES ! ! ALPHA BALLER FALLS FOR OWNER'S DAUGHTER ! SO INAPPROPRIATE.....AND SO FORBIDDEN...BUT ALSO UNSTOPPABLE .......TOTALLY OUT OF THEIR CONTROL ! Will their desire outweigh the risk ? GREAT READ ! A DEFINITE ONE-CLICK ! ! !
This is book 3 in the Alpha Ballers series. It’s the story of Hudson and Mackenzie. Hudson is the fun loving joking defensive linebacker for the New England Patriots. Mackenzie is the daughter of the owner of the team and his employee who has basically been running the operation of the team due to her father having difficulties coping after the death of his wife. While Mackenzie is also dealing with her grief of losing her mother, she is also trying to honor her memory by working to encourage the team to bring home the championship.
With the addition of the Drake, Lance’s return to the field, and the skills of Hudson it seems that the Patriots might just be champions at the end of the season. But this series is just not about football. There is love that needs to be found. Mackenzie has had a crush on Hudson for some time and while Hudson thought she was a good-looking woman, no lines have ever been crossed. They really aren’t even friends. That is until the events of a night at a charity event changes everything. A friendship is formed which turns into something more but not everyone is happy about it.
When you are dealing with love and football anything can happen on any given Sunday. This has been a good series and I hope it’s not the end. I would love another book or novella about what happens in the future concerning this group of entertaining characters.
I enjoyed this story. Hud and Mack are great! It is the third book in the series but can be read by itself (or first) without any problem whatsoever. It's a little sweeter than the other two. The sex is still explicit and fairly frequent but just the overall tone was sweeter for me, in a good way, than the other two. Mack and Hud still have some sarcasm that go back and forth but Hud is just such a sweet guy. Hud has been playing football for 10 years and so is more mature and is ready for something else in his personal life. I loved Hud and Macks interactions together and the building of their relationship. It was genuine and believable for me. Nothing was rushed or forced. I was able to just dive in and stay there until I reached the end. In this book, Hud's football has reached the playoffs and so they are dealing with their relationship, who they are to the team, and the extra pressure from wanting to win the championship. I loved how the football and romance were mixed together. It was a great blend and I felt like I got enough of both, rather than feeling like I was missing something somewhere. I really enjoyed the characters and this story. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Blitzed is the third book of the Alpha Ballers series by Lucy Snow. It was a quick and easy read; an interesting story that flowed easily.
Hud Asher is the gorgeous giant that has lead the defensive line for an NFL team for the last decade. He's the happy go lucky guy that everyone loves to have fun with. Mackenzie "Mac" Mayfield is the beautiful, smart, professional that rules in a man's world. She is successful in her own right, but is also the daughter of the local NFL team's owner. A relationship between the team and the management office is off limits but Hud and Mac are continuously drawn together.
Snow takes us through the challenges and the building of their relationship. It's enjoyable and I liked the characters but I wasn't feeling a strong connection between the two. I felt it was happening but I desired to feel more between them and to have it taken to a deeper level.
Snow included the characters from the previous books in the forefront of the storyline, adding value and consistency.
All in all, Blitzed was a quick and entertaining story. It appears to be the last book in the series and look forward to seeing what's next on Snow's horizon.
I freaking love this series!!! Lucy Snow delivered another spectacular book! Hudson Asher is my new book-boyfriend. This guy has it all, the looks, the charm and the ability to make you forget your own name. Mackenzie Mayfield has had a crush on him since the day he signed to her daddy's football team. Now she is going after what she wants, and she has Hud in her sights.
There is something about Mack that Hud just can't seem to figure out. She has captivated his interest, more so now that he saved her from her date at a fundraiser. Hud can't get the beauty out of his mind. He is going to own her, heart, body and soul.
Ms. Snow out did herself on this book. Mack and Hud are made for each other, and you can really tell with the turning of each page. This is by far Lucy Snow's best book to date. I hope we get to see more from the Patriots, as she has made several more connects in the book that could eventually lead to more stories for Lily to write about. I look forward to her next book!
This was one hell of a great story and i couldn't stop once i started, because i just needed to know what was going to happen next!!! Mackensie 'runs' one of the family businesses... The New England Patriots Football Team... She has worked hard to earn her place in an all male enviroment... And she has a secret crush on a player... Hudson!!! Hudson is 32 years old and his play position is Linebacker for Patriots and he has been playing professional for 10 years... And he has a secret crush in Mackensie!!! This was a lovely light read that i throughly enjoyed and actually read in one sitting as i was pulled into the story and felt part of the book. I recommend this read for those who love a brilliant love story with a beautiful HEA... Or is it? Will they get together? Will their jobs stop them? Will they ever get to be truly happy?... Read this book and you will find all the answers!!! I for one can't wait to see what Ms Snow comes up with next, and i really am looking forward to finding out!!!
I couldn't wait to read Hudson's story and I wasn't disappointed. Mackenzie is the owners daughter and is a front office executive and she has a huge crush on Hudson Asher, she doesn't want anyone to know. When there is a charity event Hudson sees a woman he wants to see more of until her realizes it's Mack. He can't keep his eyes off of her and she can't either, but Mack is with someone and her date turns into a complete jerk. Hudson saves her and she is grateful. With both wanting something but Hud thinks it has to do with his contract but it's far from it. Finally being together secretly but what happens to Hud could ruin his career and his relationship with Mack. Love Mack & Hud and there sex was scorching hot. I love this book more then the first 2. Hoping maybe there will be a novella to see what happens to all the couples.
*** Received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review *** This is an amazing story of Hudson Asher and MacKenzie "Mack" Mayfield from the previous book. The couple had a crush on each other but due to the forbidden deplore, they worship each other from a distance. After Hudson rescued Mack from a self-absorbed crazy (Steve Wood), the attraction and desire was inexorably. Hudson and Mack endure a great deal of miasma against their relationship but fate prevail. I loved reading about the other characters in previous book progress as well. The author does a great job explaining things from both sides POV to get a good understanding of their thoughts and feelings. Now I will not leave any spoilers because I want you to read THIS ONE FOR YOURSELF, I look forward to read another book by this author...
4.5 stars I received an advanced copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. This series keeps getting better and better. Like the book two you don't need to have read the others in the series in order to enjoy it or know what is going on but reading the first two make this one even better. And you get a few more giggles from having their insight. As a football fan, I really enjoy the way that Snow describes the teams they are playing, accurately describing their strengths and weaknesses and the challenges that the team will face when playing them. I found it to be a little predictable but still enjoyed this fun and quick read.
I read the first book in the series and then this book, this book was really good, a lot better than the first one, Hudson Asher was a great man, loyal, brave, and really sweet. Mackenzie was a pretty awesome female character, she knew what she wanted and even when she didn't took the right desition she was very strong. I don't know much about the world of american professional football, but was really interesting to see part of that world.
I received this book in exchange of an honest review
My very favorite story of the books!! Book 3 has it all. Hud is such a strong and caring man with a solid desire and moral integrity to bring home the championship. The kind of man that makes you tingly and sigh because he understands sacrifice and is the fiercest cheerleader for the woman who is earning her own place in a world dominated by men. Ms.Snow brings the excitement and adrenaline of football and romance together to bring a book not easily set aside till every page is read and emotions stirred!!
Bad news first: I seriously hope that this story segues into a short story or another novel that ties everything up, because otherwise it is sadly left to hang in the air without any sense of completion. Good news: This story is sexy smexy. Can't get enough of this feeling, is it hott in here or is it just me, SEXY. I want to climb all over Hudson and do things to him with my tongue that are indecent... to say the least.
ARC given to me by author in exchange for an honest review. Stripped is the 3rd book in the Alpha Ballers series by Lucy Snow. This book is the love story between Hudson (Hud) and Mackenzie (Mack). Hud is sexy and Mack is sweet so the combo of the two is great! It's a sweet easy read but the ending felt a little abrupt to me but maybe the next book will give us a little bit more insight into their HEA. Overall, I liked this book and would recommend it.
I love all 3 books of this series. I think that this one might be my favorite though. This story was in the making with hidden looks in the other books. I was really hoping that she would write this story and it didnt disappoint. It was so well written with a great story and I really love how she incorporated the characters from the first 2 books in this book. I will definitely be reading this book again!!
Blitzed is the third standalone book in the Alpha Ballers series by Lucy Snow. Again, another fabulous book in this series with a very strong storyline that had me hooked from beginning to end. The characters were well developed with depth and lots of chemistry. All in all a pretty fabulous book and series!!
I adored the plot (football star with manager's daughter), totally loved the characters (cute football star who is witty and caring; manager's daughter who is independent, driven and lovely) but I had my problems with the writing style. It was not as witty as it could have been and some of it was just too rushed.
Arc review For honest review. Awesome great writing. Mackenzie and Hudson their story shows sportsmanship , love, strength , friendship ,family ,and so much more . Theses characters I really enjoyed reading a lot.
My favorite of this series!!! Loved it!!!!❤️❤️❤️ I received an ARC and I must say Lucy definitely scored a Touchdown with this one! Hudson & Mac are perfect together. Loved their chemistry and the way their relationship unfolded and developed. This series just keeps getting better & better!!!
